Aren't you going to be in the interview with your wife in Chennai, because i see that your wife's interview is on Dec 02 but you are reaching India on Dec 10. Is it necessary for the petitionar to be with the beneficiary for the interview. Chella, I checked with the U.S consulate in Chennai. They don't allow the petitioner to be inside the Consulate. Just bring both passports to the interview in case they ask (they probably won't). Good luck All of them are correct You can change the name with passport copy at NVC. I guess this will be my stupid RFE. I read the bold faced part of the instructions, wrote N/A because it didn't apply to me and then went on to #23. Oh well, we'll see how it goes. George I actually left the entire section blank because I didn't think it applied to us (this was before I discovered VJ.) In any case we had no issues at all and were approved without an RFE. I hear everyone talking about an NO2. My I-130 was with the USICS for over 5 months so I wrote to them on 10/18 to find out the status and on 11/01 they replied and said I should receive a duplicate Approval Notice within 14 days. I assume this is a duplicate NO2, which hasn't come yet. I did receive a letter and case number from the NVC saying that our petition has become eligible for further processing at the National Visa Center, along with the DS-3032 form. I have already paid the $88 for the Affadavit of Support and it cleared. My question is do I have to wait until I receive the N02 before I can submit the i-864? (Include street, city, province, if any, and country. What we should write here? Thanks a lot! There is a debate on this. "Short visits are not considered as living together". Based on this, many people have not filled it and entered either N/A or the address and period they thought actually lived together. And I think they didn't have any issues. However, I filled my last stay together address with my wife in my I-130 forms (one in 2008 and the other in 2010) and didn't have any issues either. My both visits are few weeks only and we lived together or rather I must say visited each other. In both definitions, we spent time (both day and night, we went to the restaurant and movies too!) together at my home in India as husband and wife. Now, it is up to you, because you are the boss! Its easy for you now eh - your poor wife has to undergo the stress of the final stage. I'll heed your advice if successful after the interview. For me now its traditional English food - pie and chips and a bottle of orange juice....thats where I went wrong! I started becoming young after NVC stage. When I looked at the mirror, some lost hair started re-growing. Blond hair is now becoming my natural hair color. Glad I am not the beneficiary. NVC scheduled out interview at that time and provided the interview appointment letter by PDF file. We downloaded the packet4 from the Consulate website and proceeded for the medical and interview. This time - Consulate has emailed me the interview date. It is an informal one, rather than the true one. They said, they will mail packet4 to my wife's local address soon.
