As I said my wife worked as guest faculty (College Teacher). She does have the job experience letter from the institution , however she doesn't have formal Employment offer letter. I am trying to be prepared before I submit the information on G-325A. As the beneficiary I was not asked for any proof of my employment at any stage of the process. Or photocopy of the one I've sent to NVC will be enough? Thanks! We only took a photocopy but my husband attended with me so it wouldn't have been an issue either way. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Waiting for interview date?	I have a question even though I am not at this point yet. Here it goes: You are stating that its possible to get a faster interview date if you call everyday untill they give you one. Is this done as soon as NVC receives your file and gives you a case number, or once all the fees are paid and the papers is sent to them?? The interview is not scheduled until all fees have been paid, all documents have been submitted, your case has been completed at NVC and a slot opens up at the appropriate consulate. We interviewed in 2009 but from my timeline you can see that I received notification of my interview at the end of the month for an interview 6 weeks later. In fact the night before I received the interview e-mail I called NVC and was told to wait until the middle of the next month for scheduling to begin again. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	cr1 interview	Hello everyone...first let me wish you all a very prosperous and blessed 2011. i finally got my interview date for february 2011 and i am so excited finally this long and difficult journey is coming to an end. but i am very worried because has i stated before we do not have any phone records/emails to prove that we are communicating. because we both have prepaid phones and i mostly use a magic jack to call my husband. but other than that we have pictures, affidavits from family and friends, bills in both our names the stamps from his passport with how many times he visited before we were married, and he will be here again before my interview. any one with any advice to give i would gladly appreciate it as i am so worried. thanks. We had our NOA1 on November 16th and have just found out from a Tier 2 we got the approval last friday after my wife faxed her doctors letters on December 10th!! I can't believe how quick that was! Do I need to update USCIS about this trip? WIll this make my case stronger? Thanks From VJ Wiki: Administrative Processing at NVC The NVC has a process of randomly pulling a certain, unknown number of "K" visa petitions for further administrative processing. It is unknown what exactly takes place during this process. As it is in AP post interview. It may be background/name checks and/or document verification. Some CSR's at NVC have said that they are "verifying documents". But the most common answer will be that "There is no timeframe for the process". There actually is a very predictable timeframe based on VJers experience that has been shared since December 2008. The average time that a case is held during this AP is around 50 days, give or take a day or so. You can call at least once a week to ask if your file has been released out of AP and forwarded to the consulate. Most petitioners that are pulled for random AP DO receive a stadard letter from NVC stating that their file will be forwarded to the embassy "within a week", this is a standard letter which is mailed out wheather one is in AP or not. One other thing--I only had two done and now I see that I will need two more for my interview in Montreal in 5 months--will it matter that the interview passport pix are not identical to the ones sent with the DS-230? It will not matter. I used a combination throughout our process; some taken at the time of the I-130 submission, some at NVC stage which were then used for my medical and interview. Mine were also 2 x 2, taken at Shoppers Drug Mart to American passport standards and they were accepted without issue. So I assume that leaving Alien registration blank didn't affect anything The NOA1 is only a confirmation of receipt of your petition. While leaving any questions blank is not recommended it does not always lead to an RFE, however, it is highly unlikely that anyone has even looked at your petition yet. USCIS told us that the POE (JFK) is delayed because of all the immigrants coming through. So JFK didn't even send his file to USCIS until 3-4 weeks AFTER his arrival. Hope that helps. Good point. The POE that processes you can definitely affect the timeline of receiving your card. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Question about I-864	It says most recent tax returns so if you haven't completed your last years return then use the latest 3 returns. I haven't yet completed my taxes for 2010 because I don't have all my w-2 forms to file yet. Remember, each tax return is for the former year...like your tax return of 2009 was sent by april 2010 and your 2010 tax return is not due until this coming april 2011. We went through NVC in February of 2009 and had the same issue. We sent in 2005, 2006 and 2007 tax transcripts and had our case completed no problem.
