VSC is working faster than CSC? When are they coming to August, on the website it shows
July 10.

Art,

July 10 that you saw is the last updated month in their system with the case receipts, completions etc.

The receipts are correct for the month. But the completions in July 10 are not the completions for July filers. If that's the case, July filers would have been approved in less than 30 days time! July 10 completions are for the prior months.

For example, few July filers here approved in Sep. Their head count will be in Sep 10 list which will be published after 2 months from now. USCIS chart is 2 months behind of the current date.

You are right. VSC is working faster than CSC. The reason is they accepted only few (2 digits) petitions until May 10. Then slowly accelarating the receipts from Jun 10. Their pending cases are very few - around 8,000+ compared to CSC pending cases of 104,000+. The pending cases of VSC dropped dramatically because they accepted very few I-130 petitions in the prior months of the year to process other petitions such as TPS, EAD etc. And Chicago Lockbox forwarded almost all I-130 petitions across the U.S to CSC and they clogged with these petitions.

Art, when you will reach NOA2 level?

Based on the current trend, you may hear it in another one month time.

I do not know if its jealousy or envy or what...but I am pretty mad that people who have filed the same date as me or after are getting approved at VSC while all of the CSC filers just sit and wait for months and months. We pay the same amount, and have to wait much longer..if CSC is so damn backed up, then transfer some files to VSC!!!!! Grr....I am happy for everyone that has got accepted regardless of the service center, I am just not happy with USCIS!

That's true, apeters! This is totally weired system!

Congrats to all..I am sure the last two of you at VSC will hit it big within the next week or so...sure seems like it. Has anyone from our group from CSC been approved for NOA2? I got a funny feeling the CSC people will be waiting quite a bit longer.

Anyways, update with me, wife faxed in her daughter's medical record on Tuesday evening. We've received touches on 9/28, 9/29 and 9/30 respectively. Now just waiting to hear if we're going to qualify for expedited processing and if approved how long 'expedited' really takes.

Ok, going Deer hunting this afternoon...look forward to some new NOA2's when I get back tonight!

If they expedite it (And I hope so), it will be done in 1 to 2 weeks time.

Happy deer hunting, Redneck :star:

Holy moly!!! Loto, you just spoiled my Friday evening hahahaha [just kidding]
I know CSC is slow, coz there are so many march filers, but i hope there are less april, may and june filers [at least here they are not active that much, so i assume there are not so many of them]. I think my PCC can wait a couple of weeks before i apply for it hehe

thank you so much loto,

yes you gave me this link before and i reviewed it, but that's all have to get for now to get ready for the nvc stage?
and by the way iv is the ds-230? correct! and also when you said part one filled and signed by (beneficiary) you meant petitioner, i guess that needs to be corrected.
hopefully me and you join the nvc group soon!

Ayoub,

See skynaut's and Debby's responses. DS-230 has to be completed and signed by your wife. Don't sign part 2, it will be signed by her at the Consulate interview time.

That was probably more than that! hehe It felt as if we had known each other for ages, I met my true soulmate :)

Loto, when our case will be approved? hehehe Can you foresee? :D

Let me tell the truth. CSC is currently taking an average 5 months (some gets in 4 months and some in 6 months too) from the filing date (Receipt date) to the approval date for regular non-expedited petitions. July filers in CSC can expect the approval in December. But, this is based on the current projection.

You never know things will change in the coming months too. CIS Ombudsman's update (Update was in June 2010) showed USCIS has to approve 750,000 I-130 petitions by Dec 31, 2010, but that includes USC and LPR petitioners.

http://dashboard.usc...e=2&charttype=1 (I-130 Immediate Relative - USC petitioner - Name it as C1)
http://dashboard.usc...e=2&charttype=1 (I-130 Immediate Relative - LPR petitioner - Name it as C2)

Average monthly completion is 20,200 for C1 and 18,600 for C2 since the beginning of this year - 2010.
Based on this trend C1 will have 242,000 approvals and C2 will have 223,000 approvals by the end of this year.
This makes a total of 465,000 approvals in CSC by the end of this year.

Now, based on CIS Ombudsman's update, USCIS has to catch up an additional 285,000 approvals.

If they do it, average processing time will fall to 4 months very well. Then CSC guys can expect the approvals in November too.

Well, guys...it's finally happened!

I'm VERY happy to announce that as of yesterday, 9/30/10, my I-130 was approved! (see June 2010 Filers thread)

I received a text message and an e-mail from the USCIS announcing the approval.

On to the October NVC thread!!!!

Good luck and speedy approvals for all...it WILL happen!!!!

P.S. There were no touches done to my case to give me a clue that this would happen

I am thinking of getting PCC too, but I am also hoping everything will be over till it expires. So I will probably wait till mid of October, coz CSC doesn't seem to approve July filers soon [if i am not wrong they are approving April now?]...although i hope so much they will work faster.

Oh, now I know why you were not showing up here for a while :star:

I'm heading to Thailand on Oct 18th to see my wife and son. Our son, 17 months, has been sick off and on for a couple months. I am going to see his doctor, get his medical records and have it translated and notarized and overnight it to USCIS to get it my wife's GC expedited. If I can convince her to let me bring him back with me, I will. He's a USC so no problem with that.

SqdnGuns, in fact if you bring your son here and show the medical certificate to the USCIS for expedite based on his mother is needed to take care of him.

My Wife called yesterday to request an expedite, they sent her an email in about 3 hours asking her to fax the supporting documentation for her claim. Plus I got a touch yesterday...yawn..lol. So, what do you think? it's based on her daughter being chronically ill (cystic fibrosis) and she needs me to help her with the bills and helping take care of her daughter. Plus an open question...my wife asked me this and I didn't have a clue..when they expedite..it's only the USCIS correct? not NVC or the Consular interview?

Medical reason expedites always have upper chances to be granted. Expedite is at USCIS and even at NVC stage too. But not really at Consulate.

How can I send my petition to VSC from CSC? ^_^

No way :)

They might sometimes do internal transfer based on volume and adjudicators' availability, but it is very rare!

Sometimes, they might transfer to local centers too, if the petitioner needs an interview and/or biometrics.

So, I added a column to indicate if it is regular processing or expedited one.

If anybody feel their info is wrong, or aligned to wrong Service Center, please let me know. If the Receipt# starts with

Hello all back from Australia
Had a wonderful time with my wife and step kids, took them on a good family vacation around Victoria.

Departing was torture though and we have a bit of a quandary, she will be essentially homeless in December. I was thinking on having her come over then on a tourist visa which is good for 90 days and when she needs to fly back to Australia for the interview and stay with relatives till last packet arrives then move over here permanently. Id like to get some thoughts on this.

Glad to hear TheSahlis about your nice vacation!

She may visit you during the process and go back to Aus to continue her interview.

Timol,

Unless there is a problem or that can NOT handle by the first level for your petition before 5 months time (this time is between filing date and current date), it is difficult to get Tier2 person.

Just goes to show that these USCIS cust. service reps don't have a clue what's going on; I called VSC today too and the rep told me that they are still processing April petitions. unbelievable. it's becoming too frustrating even to call because the info is not reliable...

Debby,

Calling a CSR Tier 1 before 5 months processing time is totally waste! And they wouldn't pass to Tier2 as well, if it is just to check the status.

I hope you get your approval soon Loto!!

Question:

If they currently work on July fillers, does it mean they'll then move toward the August fillers?

Thanks a lot!!

In fact this is my conclusion.

Two guys got NOA2 in July list are from VSC. I have not seen any regular CSC approval for July guys.

Also, there are people from VSC filed in earlier months of July, but still waiting for NOA2. I think those 2 guys got a nice adjudicator in VSC :)

On the other side, VSC had just 2 digit I-130 receipts until May 2010. They started accepting 4 digit I-130 petitions since Jun 2010. Whereas, CSC always had 5 digit I-130 petitions every month.

CSC has more I-130 adjudicators than VSC, IMO.

Now it seems the I-130 work load is balancing between CSC and VSC.

I wish everybody irresepctive of the service center must have NOA2 soon! Based on some news, they might accelarate the I-130 approvals to achieve the target of 750,000 by the end of this December. And this number includes the petitions from LPR too.
