IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	RFE...marriage certificate	Hi Vj's I have a question...we got a RFE, and my husband told me they want our marriage certificate....but we SENT IT with the file for the I-130...maybe it got lost when our file was transfered??...my husband will scann the letterto me to know exactly what they want...but if they want the Marriage Certificate (which has an Official Translation)...Should my husband send the Original one or just another copy??....I need some advice please.... Then on Jan 14, without receiving any notice from the USCIS that our case has been forwarded to NVC, I received an approval notice from the US Embassy for my K3 visa but none for the IR-1/ CR-1. I assumed they have submitted our case to NVC because the US Embassy already mailed me a letter saying our case has been approved and that I am good to go for the medical exam for a K3 visa. But since we are going for the IR-1, I am still waiting for that letter from the embassy with my appointment date. Oh by the way, we hired a lawyer in the US to handle our case but unfortunately I don't feel he is doing his job well in updating us. That is exactly why I'm here asking around so I would know what to ask/ demand from him, since our case is almost a year next month. Also, I've read somewhere here that we don't need to wait for the embassy to mail us the appointment date, we could check it thru the NVC website. Is that really possible? Unfortunately, I don't know what to do or where to start. Any advice from you or our fellow VJers will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and good luck to all of us. K-J Hi K-J, if you are going to take ther CR1 path...forget about the K3 first...now you have to call NVC to know about your Case NUmber..001 603 334 0700....once you get the number email your DS 3032 (choise of agent)...read the LIng Che¿s Guide, it will help you a lot....there are more steps to follow and fees to pay....read the guide please...and you Don't need an attorney, we are doing it for ourselves, this step is fast, just be sure you have all the documentacion ready... for the other VJ's... DS156 (2 copies) DS 156K DS 157.. All they are not needed for CR1, because it is an Immigrant Visa...they are needed for K1 - K3 because they are NO-Immigrant Visa....I hope it helps you.. Oh yes, you right...MMR is required for adults, DPT is not...here in Peru you can find just MR in private consultation... I dont know if hospital are giving it now, there are a lack of vaccines latelly. Hi, MMR is not required for adults, here in Peru we got MMR being a child, Hepatitis B and Tetanus you can get it in any hospital for free ..if your wife is less than 27 years old, she will need HUman Papiloma Virus ....not required for women older than 27...it is the expensive one, because you have to get in a private consultation... About Varicella, if she got it being a child (almost all peruvians got it) she will show at least one scar, so no problem with this neither.
