Russia, Ukraine and Belarusexpiring forms

So i just realized the ds156 and 156k forms I need for the interview on 9-26-07 expired 7-31-07, so I went to the uscis website to print the revised forms and the forms are not there.......Not even the old ones are up.......?? I am leaving for Russia in about a week and I am wondering if any one knows how long the uscis usually takes to update forms?

You can probably just use the old ones... looks like they are taking them until October... then they go electronic... not sure if that includes the DS-230.

Attention! Beginning October 25, all K1, K2, K3 and K4 visa applicants must submit a completed Electronic Visa Application Form. The Electronic Visa Application Form must be filled out online at http://evisaforms.state.gov. After filling out the form online, applicants will be able to print a copy of their visa application form, which will include their data in a barcode format.

The Electronic Visa Application Form is not available in the Russian language. Answers to the questions on the application must be in English and must use English characters. The applicants are welcome to use the Russian language translation to guide them through the online English Electronic Visa Application Form.

Effective October 25, 2006, the old version of the application form DS-156 will not be accepted.

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusChristmas Vacation in the Dominican Republic

How can the locals afford to eat? (If you don't see where I'm going with this.... where/what do they eat? Maybe you could eat the same things or at the same places.)

Sure, eat what they eat. I am not sure which grossed me out the worst in the supermarket. The package with about 50 chicken feet (tallons might be the right word) all lined up in a row in the package or the package of beef toungues.

They buy a lot of their stuff at the outdoor market on Saturday morning and it is a wonder they are not all in the hospital by sunday night.

LOL

Reminds me of the open air meat market in Khabarovsk...

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusAppointment for "Conditional" Permanent Residence

Hi there.
I was hoping someone could help me with a few questions.
My wife and I have been through the K1 visa process. She is from Russia.
We have our interview coming up for "conditional" permanent residence within the month.
My wife had her medical in Moscow for the interview. We did not request extra copies of her medical records.

Regarding vaccination shots:

We do not have any of her vaccination records.
We are trying to get the info. from her doctor's in Russia.

My lawyer said we do not need to scheudle a new medical exam, but we should get some offical documents
from my wifes doctors in Russia stating that she has all vaccinations.
I could bring this information to one of the gov't appointed doctors here in the US and they could sign off that she is up-to-date.
(without having to pay the extra money to get a new exam and shots).

My question is: What vaccination shots are required? What proof do we need from my wife's doctor in Russia?

Thank you very much for your help!

Has it been a year since she had her medical for the Visa? If not then she shouldn't need to repeat.

Without a copy of the DS3025 (the one that was sealed in the envelope for the interview in Moscow) some vaccines may need to be taken.

Any records you can get may help avoid duplicate vaccines. Take a look at the instructions on the I-693.

Good luck!

Sounds like you speak from personal experience.

Yep, it was first hand.

City, please share. I'm sure many here could benefit from your experience. Please elaborate on your "Visa Journey" from Russia to the USA. I know I'm curious and I'm sure others are too. How did you (a young Russian girl) get a visa to enter the USA (K visa, student visa)?

Cheers,

:time:

I prefer not to share personal experience with strangers. Opinion - maybe, info on legal and immigration stuff, papers and documents questions - yes, that's why I am here. But personal things like what my story is and how I came here and who framed me and how, are absolutely irrelevant and not helpful here.
You bothered to put a couple of posts of mine together - why? Are you up to something? What are you trying to prove?

Take a look at the Home Page City...

"Once again, we welcome you and encourage you to become a member of our growing community! Share your experiences and relax here knowing you are not alone! Make sure that you also take the time to add your information to our Immigration Timeline section! -The Visajourney Family"

There is a rather crude saying about opinions City, "Opinions are like a$$hole$, everybody has one". Perhaps it would be wiser to keep your opinions to yourself if you have nothing helpful to contribute.

Cheers!

FYI, Legal advice is forbidden on this forum as is condoning or instructing, either directly or indirectly, others on how to commit fraudulent or illegal immigration activities in any way, shape, manner or method. [see TOS].

... just in case you ever need it, try Greece for a Schengen - it can be for any European country, it just needs to be open in the country that gave it. So you get it to Greece (it's like a couple of days, really fast) and fly to Athens to open the visa and then anywhere you please. My trip was also to Paris through Athens. ...

Sounds like you speak from personal experience.

Welcome to the forum, noone (aka CityCat).

Tell us a little more about yourself and your journey. It's awesome to have someone that's already been through the process here to help. And, we could always use more insight into our wonderful threads!

Ok, I finally have time to tell about myself:
I am a 26-year-old crazy Russian b$tch (that's how my friends call me sometimes) married to an American, got my 2year a little while ago.
I am not a mail-order bride, I met my husband in person and we've known each other for a couple of years before we got married. Our marriage has seen its bumps so I can relate to much stuff here about cultural differences and marital problems.
I study (not a lawyer, not a doctor) and tend my friend's bar for extra cash (my husband makes a decent living so I do it mainly for fun). That's my humble simple story.

... I dare express my opinion on such situation because I myself have been through the whole drama of wrongful accusations, arrests, deportation threats, being scammed and other "pleasant" things like that. And guess what? I was the victim not the initiator. So I had my share fare of yelling like a stuck pig situations in spite being young. ...

United KingdomThe 2008 United Kingdom Interview Thread!
Congrats on the approval Damian!

My husband's visa was approved today as well!

He called me at 7am, my time (12pm his time) to tell me he'd been approved. His said it was so easy! His interview was at 8am. He got there around 7:30am. He waited in line and got a number. They called his number and he gave them the paperwork. Then he waited around some more to be called again for the "interview." She asked him how we met, who chatted up who lol and the longest period of time he's spent in the States. After that, she said he was approved! Easy peasy! I can't believe all this waiting is almost over! kicking.gif

I read a lot of complains about the service centers. All I could hope for is that both Service Centers would work faster so that all of us here will finally be with our spouses at the soonest..

******************

I agree with u (CaNdiD wiTcH') ....hope they will try to work faster/quicker so we can be with our family soon.... its really hurting to think that we should wait for this very long time to be with our love one.. crying.gif

Sometimes things happen. My husband lives where the file should have gone to VSC and somehow they routed it to CSC instead. I'm not sure why or if that will make a difference with processing time, but we're hopinf for the best.

I agree with you....we have no choice but to wait and hope for the best...so good luck to each and everyone of us... good.gif

6 months ago, CSC was slow.
Now it's VSC.
6 months from now, it'll be CSC again.

Get the picture?

and that sequence changes depending on what visa or part of the process you are looking at

Like others have said, where you file is dependant on where you live. You don't have a choice. Sorry.

******************

Yes I do agree with you...sometimes VSC is faster and sometimes CSC ...its like we just have to wait that they process our papers... and yes your right again...its really dependent to where you live..thanks.

i am in the same boat as you and as a matter of fact the same timeline as you. My husband had his interview in July 2008 and was put in AP and they required more proof so we gave them more proof and its still in administrative processing. We have been in AP since July 2008....

my situation is that everytime i call DOS they say its under AP and they can take as long as they want..... Where is our citizen rights??
i emailed the delhi consulate and call DOS on a regular basis and still noone gives me a detailed answer as to why its under AP?

My prayers are with you as well and im glad for all the supportive feedback in this difficult time.

Ooooh this is one of the happiest days of my life! I emailed the embassy last Friday to inquire about our case. They responded today with:

"Dear Julia XXX,

As of today an administrative processing for Onur XXX has been completed. As soon as he mails his new medical report, the green refusal sheet given to him during the interview and his passport with UPS to our office, we will process his case as soon as possible and mail his immigrant visa to his address in Turkey.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa unit"

I am in shock! I feel like I must be dreaming! This does mean that he is getting the visa - right? Well, we won't be in the clear until that visa is in his passport, but I am ECSTATIC to say the least. I finally get to post some dancing men for myself! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif
