What was approved was your I-129F petition for spouse. K3 is a visa. The two petitions were approved together by the same person at the same time. The emails arrived 30 minutes apart.

My German wife's 129f form is at the Vermont Service Center and was received April 10, 2008. Thus far I have received the NOA1.

contact the city registrar in their town and ask for the requirments there, the usc will need to get an "affidavit in lieu of a certificate of elligibility to marry" from the embassy and there is a 10 day wait period to get the license. there are more details, but thats a start....good luck

pushbrk, I know the op is asking about marriage. but, can the fiance com here on a tourist visa and then file a k1 while they are here and skip the weeding until the k1 is approved. of course still not overstaying the tourist visa. the advantage being a shorter time period being seperated, and they would still get married in america like they want

I just wonder how many of their staff has to stop processing petitions to take the time and train hundreds of new staff to stand around and do nothing ? sounds almost counter-productive to me. in other words, it will get worse before it gets better !!

the i 134 form ask if your dependants are completely or partialy dependant on you. it doesn't ask who claims them on their taxes as dependants. So, do you help support them ? do you pay child support ? do the children live with you ? do you get enough support from your ex to say that is all you need to support 4 children ? if not you may need to say you partially support your 4 children.

Thank you for your comment! No, he is not disabled. He is into real estate, but it is very slow now(actually it's almost a year now) due to the recession, so he got a new job from March-September 2008. Right now he is waiting for interview schedules on new jobs he applied for. Well, he thinks everything will be okay with the interview at the Embassy and that it is positive to be granted a visa. I doubt it, on the other hand. I really have apprehensions on this matter. He just really think that there will be no problem with his bank statement(with little money in it).

I had called to make a very small correction on the petitions (typo erra) knowing this would also bring our petitions out of the dungeon. thinking that we are so close why would they put them back in the dungeon. hopefully they would just work on them since they already have them out. whether or not the touch is related to that, who knows ? but thanks for the positive thoughts and encouragement. if uscis saw how you rally the troops here on VJ they would surely approve your petitions soon. keep the positive thoughts flowing CJ Vasani good.gif

They dont send it to you. You send it to them. SPS is right. Educate yourself & you will experiance fewer problems.

Consolmaster? for instance points out the cost of the embassy. What does that have to do with your case? She knows everyone in the embassy. What does that tell you about her knowledge? Sounds like she had her own awarness problems. She says like many that God has something to do with this. If so she shouldnt need to worry about anything.

Send the 230 to your wife. Let her take it to the interview & hope they accept it. Your lawyer should have included it in the inital package. It is too late to send it to NVC with an interview in 5 days. If it was a show stopper they wouldnt schedual the interview at all.

I agree, there are lots of so called experts here. everyone should be there own advocate from beginning to end. no one will look out for you like you will for yourself. and lawyers are the worst.

but kimhangsomaly has been here for 7 months and has not posted a timeline or anything that could help us help him or ourselves. why does anyone even bother to reply to him ?
