QUOTE (Mystique @ Jun 18 2008, 09:53 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I believe there might be some mistake or either they have lot of applications for I130 petition. Guys also remember I130 petition is for immediate relative. your parents, spouse and children under 21 all fall under same category.

Where can I find information on what states are covered under Vermont? I know NJ is included under VSC and they have lot of filers.

I feel now I've done a big mistake by not going for K3. Is it too late look at my timeline I received NOA1 April 29th abt 1.5 months ago.

I believe u meen K1 not K3 and I don't think its too late at all. and the fee should be waived. check into it it should still save u alot of waiting

My wife and I are looking forward to adding to our family, hopefully a little girl. but there is no way in hell I would let her go through a pregnancy by her self... especially a high risk pregnancy !! I am thinking that the USCIS will surely think she and the baby will become a public charge. Do you have medical insurance for your wife and unborn child. or a plan for it immediately when she enters the states. Is this your first child?

Yea i have been watching that also. I really want the have a visa in hand by January as my baby is due the middle of Febuary and the proccess of getting a US passport for our baby will add from 1 to 2 months to the proccess...I know wishful thinking.

I doubt they will let you fly late in your pregnancy, especially if its a high risk pregnancy.. its too much of a liability, and not safe for the mom or baby.

Forget the stats and the odds.. There is no 100% guarantee for a happy marriage based on stats.

Another reason I'd like to see some stats is because there are SO many filipina women that have been married before and have difficulty getting out of the previous marriage(s), (as witnessed on here) based on that fact alone the success rate doesnt seem to be too high, im a little concerned that a lot of these women (mine included) just want a green card. From what I can see, she loves me very much, but i cant help but have a little doubt. I'm very sceptical when it comes to this, I have one failed marriage already (not a foreigner) I certainly dont want another one.

insecurity and doubt will cunsume you worse than cancer. devil.gif

I beleive he will have his interview before the last one. So what could we do?? Could he take the last one once he is here in USA?
Please, let me know. I would appreciate any help.

Additional: I feel want to share my spouse with you. He is USC and not oldman but a grown up man.

I'm not bothered with Xmass or New Year. Anytime its special. My USC spouse didn't pressured me or tell me what to do when to come in USA instead he told me to enjoy my last moment in Philippines. When I decided to fly here in USA, I told him I'm ready to go. He does everything to make me happy and of course I try my best to make him happy too. I didn't grew with my family and relatives but I grew up with my childhood and friends, I misses them than my own blood. I call my friends every two weeks when I arrived here in US but when I check our phone bills I can't believed it. He didn't tell me to quit calling. I decided to slow down. I flew two weeks before his planned (He was with me in USE Manila and brought my 2 bags/luggage with him back here in USA) but he doesn't have choices, I'm coming. devil.gif

Some Filipina want to go back home which is one of them is my friend but her husband doesn't want her to go and she can't buy ticket but he doesn't give her any access to his money.

Don't you think I'm fortunate woman? IF YOU WANT TO CONFIRM IF I'M LYING OR NOT YOU'RE WELCOME TO CALL MY HUSBAND. HE DOESN'T COME ON THIS WEBSITE. HE IS BUSY MAKING MONEY SO I HAVE SOMETHING TO DO.

my wifes visa should be here before christmas, so as I read this I asked her if she would like to spend one last christmas there with her family. (which she is also very close with ). her reply was spending x-mas here with our sons and our new family was her choice and priority. it really sucks when you make plans and someone changes them mid-stream. but that shouldn't be a reason to back out of the relationship. but if you are not 100% sure and still want to try to make it work. then this might be a good time to look into a prenuptual contract. have some patiance and try to understand she is probrably scared to leave. and her family is her comfort zone. now is the time to find your comfort zone. it does seem like you expect something for what you have given to the family. my question is, when and if she moves with you, do you still intend to do so much for the family on a regular basis ? or are you just trying to buy their support ?

unsure.gif I was married by someone who used me for his Green Card. In another relationship, although I love this man I dont want this to happen to me again so I dot my i, and cross my t's and yes im guilty about allowing the past to hunt me. I do want to know if this is ok to do or if this is another scam to use me again. My frien asked me to set him reservation in a country that would freely allow him to come to USA. He stated that once he received reservation (invitation to come?) he would take it to the Embassy or Immugration Im not sure on it. They would allow him to go over then once there he can come to USA. Im not sure of the timeline on any of this.
Im wondering if this is a scam once he gets over, get what he needs and thats it. Please if u have info pleas share with me i dont want a repeat of my first husband.
Thank You Much!

I mean a hotel reservation, he said once he gets confermation from hotel that he has a room reserved he can take that to get approvial to leave (i guess) he is paying for it all.
I explained to him I didnt like that he said we can just go through the correct way.
One day we were talking he wants me to goto Africa to meet his family and wants us to marry there. I questioned that he stated he wanted his mom and family to be apart of it. Am I being too protective. Is this ok or is there something else going on with this?
Again thanks for everones in put.

This is exactly the approach taken by a Nigerian guy to a friend of mine within the last year. They were "married" in Nigeria in front of friends and family, but it was never recorded anywhere. Family paid for his trip to the U.S. He came here as her fiance, they married, and for the better part of a year, he's been absent from marriage and preparing to move to the opposite coast once his green card arrives. It's a scam, for sure.

No im American it I know it sounded gerbrish because I really didnt understand the process myself.
I have not questioned him to the point were it would seem like I was researching myself I just have general conversation. He claims a friend did the same thing so he needed to talk with him to get it explained to him clearly. He made mention he was willing to wait for us to process it, and I can come over to visit. I asked about marring in Africa he said we will have 2 weddings 1 traditional in Africa for his family especially his mom, then 1 here for my family to witness. Although his name wa not on scam list doesnt mean hes not one. I do love this man but I also want to guard my heart and much embarrasment also.
I will be patient and give it more time even if it takes a year or two.
He had been looking for a soccer team in the US to try out for hopping he could get sponsership that way. I meet people here all the time that comes over for college, he said he wouldnt qualify because of his age he should have did it right after highschool?

so the soccer team thing didn't work for a visa, so now he's giving it a shot with you. and if that fails he will try something else. be careful....very careful !!!!

And yes he's had the stuff long time June this year in fact. But the problem is the complete lack of communication all we wanna know is does he have all the info, is it correct and if so then when are you going to send it off dammit!

getting married in the catholic church would consist of at least one of you being catholic. I understand you are talking about the ceremony only. and there being no marriage license or contract to be signed. but that is something I would do on a return trip to PI. you already know what trouble it will cause if found out while going through K1 process. definitely not worth risking !!

My girlfriend and I have only met five months ago, yet things developed quickly between us. We are both so in love with each other and we both take our relationship very seriously. This month I filed the petition. We badly want to be together and start building for our future. I'm just worried that CSC or the embassy may think that our relationship is bogus since things happened quite so fast. Do I have the reason to worry?

Like I said our relationship is legit and we are both very much in-love.

Remember, she is the one to be interviewed in a few months. The obvious question is, what prompted her to look overseas through her best friend? Was she interested in rejoining her friend and getting a green card - and you happened to be available? Photos with her family together with you, different places you went together are part of the story. But if there is reason for the consulate to believe it's all about getting to the US, and not all about you, then she'll need to be persuasive during the interview. A second visit would help make clear that this is all real.

Huh ? huh.gif

Yes I wouldn't advise coming here and marrying first. That is seem as dishonest and fraud and would leave your case open to all sorts of speculation and suspicion from immigration.

We had our AOS interview just a few weeks ago and one of the things our immigration officer talked about was her frustration the with the stupidity of people who think they can marry first and then tell the government afterwards.
