Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionReceipt Number

We are all exited finally summit the removal conditions

We already send the I-751 to Nebraska, the check has been cash but we haven't heard from them. There is a number in the back of the check starts with LIN-…..

That's suppose to be my tracking number of my case, I went to the processing times, type the number and tells me that is incorrect.
How long does is take to get a letter from them telling me that they received my I-751

I had 3 different numbers on the backs of 2 separate checks...and then an additional one on the blue receipt sent out for the biometrics fee. None of those numbers worked...even though they all started with EAC(Vermont). Finally I received the NOA and the receipt number worked after 5 days. It was exactly two weeks after they cashed my check that we got the NOA. Good luck.

Mine didn't work either. I received ours on Saturday...and it finally started to work yesterday. Try again.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLawyer???Support letters???
I don't think you need a lawyer if your case is pretty standard. I used one during my K-1 visa (of course before I knew of this website) and it was a total waste of 3500.00! In the end...I did all the work myself because I had to get my local Senator involved when they lost our paperwork!
I sent 2 letters from friends and they were not notarized. (we have not heard anything about it yet, though).
Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMy husband is back from his biometrics in Newark
I couldn't believe it. He said that included standing in line outside....filling out his paper and then he said he sat down and less than 30 seconds later his number was called. I was a bit concerned that he was going today due to the Good Friday Holiday...but it is a state holiday supposedly and not a federal one. So....now...the wait starts for the 10 year g.c. hopefully.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDo both of us go to biometrics?
My husband went today for his biometrics...and they only asked to see his greencard. He went alone for the appointment and was in and out of there!

You do not need a stamp for reentry. You should carry the extension letter with you, though.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751, received RFE
Seems kind of strange that they did not put checks next to the items they wanted. I am sorry for you...your list of evidence was pretty darn good. I hope you get it straightened out.

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionplease help! check bounced for I-751 form
Trust me...you want to let them know before they let you know. Either make an infopass appointment...or go mail another check...this time make it a money order.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWorried sick in New York
Your wife would still be in their computer system. Why don't you just go there anyway to see what they say? BTW...I tried to get my husband's name on the utilities when he first got to the USA and the utilitiy company told me they only put one person's name on the bill now. What?? Who knows...just FYI.

You should definitely get yourself an immigration lawyer...and fast. In the meantime...it's time to talk to someone with CIS. Perhaps an infopass appointment to explain your circumstances? Good luck....hate to say this...but start by getting your wife a SS#. It doesn't cost anything.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionIs it possible to change jobs while green card is expired?
We had the same thing happen with us. When my husband went to the SS office in NJ for the unstamped SS card they said the letter was not good enough...that we needed the stamp also. We haven't gotten that far yet. So...did they tell you that even with the stamp they won't reissue the SS card? That doesn't seem right.
Hope you get it straightened out.

I sent our package regular mail. It didn't take that long to get the receipt (see timeline). My biometrics check was cashed first. Give it a few more days....I am sure it will come soon.
