K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	MEDICAL EXAMINATION	Hi Channah, I assume you're talking about the medical done in Amsterdam?! Nothing to worry about, you do not have to go naked! They weight you, measure you height, check your bloodpressure and just ask you general questions (have you ever been depressed, on medication etc). Oh yeah, they also take some blood, so if you wear something with short sleeves so they can reach your elbow easy you do not have to take off any clothes. The X-ray is done at a different place (at least when I had to do it) and I did have to take my shirt and bra off. As long as her mum is set as a co-sponsor -- and I'm assuming that would hold true for the adjustment of status where the I-864 actually legally binding -- then her situation shouldn't impact the interview. The key thing is that you won't become a public charge and that either the petitioner or co-sponsor will be on the line to repay anything. We are waiting for our NOA2 for the K1 Visa, but my Fiance (the petitioner) called me that she lost her job and she's thinking of applying for food stamps before she get another job. Just a couple of questions? can we just check if the NVC received the case by entering the NOA1 number in the automated message from NVC? I thought we had to pay something to the NVC before they sent the case, but I can't find anything anymore Kim makes just above 125% of the poverty level for 2 persons. Some months she works less and it might be insufficient. Is it handy to just add an extra affidavit of support from a friend? The payment will be made at the consulate here in Amsterdam. I just got approived like you too and my interview will be at the US consulate in Amsterdam. As you all know vermont isnt pulling their weight .Am thinking our process might take almost a year and a half.atleast 7 months at vermont and another 6 at the consulate in ghana.AM relocating to the uk to help babysit my newly born nephew,whilst i wait. .moving to the uk hurts me cos id rather move to a dangerous desert with the man i love than to move anywhere alone .ive become so heartbroken over the process that i wonder if it will ever end.living apart sucks am always dazed .always wondering what i can do to make it less painfull.however most importantly.What i want to know is what to put in place before i leave,how long it will take me to get a responce how long it will take to do medicals i have told my brother to to check the mail constantly to make sure that he recieves the packet on my behalf incase they send it when am not here.how will we know when i have to go back to ghana when the consulate recieves it??. please chip in to help me out.much love yall Hello, Once your petition is approved you will need some documents like Police clearance certificate from any country you live for more than 6 months since you turn 16. As far as I know, the Consulate in Amsterdam will receive the package from the NVC and will send you packet 3, which you can already arrange at http://amsterdam.usc...iv_k1_pkt3.html Once you mail package 3 back to the Consulate you'll receive a phone call and email about package 4 with medical app. and an interview date. I would wait about a week before calling the NVC, though, as it'll take at least that long before the USCIS has everything sent to NVC, and NVC has processed your file. Congrats on the NOA2! Just the boardingpasses of all of our trips, emails, photos(in a word document), receipts and any document that stated that we did trips together.
