Sometimes, throughout the work day, I picture what the USCIC agents are doing; sipping coffee, gossiping about other service centers,  attending meetings where they discuss codes, forms and how to deal with stacks of applications 400 feet high.  But I saw on USCIS website that not as many people applied for K-1 in January, at least, so that is good news for those of us who applied later because there aren't as many people ahead of us. Even so, bless all those who apply, any time they apply. This waiting game stinks for everyone. But at least we have the VJ community! (and lots of movies to watch!   )     I imagine them a lot too! They are our superheroes, yet they're really ordinary people. I wish I could know the name of the officer who's looking into our file. I really hope the waiting time will be short for all of us! We received the NOA 1 on March 21. I hope it will go fast with the NOA2 for us too!! Good luck everyone!! One question: what exactly is the change of alien registration number? We only get the NOA1 as a hardcopy.   Hello! Welcome to VisaJourney It's a very helpful website for filers and make sure you update your timeline regularly!   Alien registration number is the number they assign that shows that the beneficiary is saved on the system and that they've possibly started looking into your file It usually doesn't have any importance, it just means that someone there got your application into the system.   You can log into USCIS website and track your application and there, if you have a number registered for you, it will show up on the tracking page saying:   "On (the date), your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2014 Filers	Is WAC the California Service Center?  Ours was prefaced by WAC.    Congrats Lilay on your ARN!! That is great! And thanks for the encouragement nina.mb.  Gah! Waiting is the worst sometimes.     The USCIS website is saying 5 months of waiting for all the centers. But I've seen them processed much quicker on VJ.  Is VJ more accurate??   Congrats to everyone who got their NOA1!   mccasper13, thanks and congrats to you, too! And I don't think that it's accurate, because it changes from case to case. It's, at least these days, much faster than 5 months Hopefully ours will be like that too!   On my timeline, VisaJourney says that my expected NOA2 date should be in June or July. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2014 Filers	I've just logged in to USCIS website to check my case status and it says that my Alien Registration Number was changed on 2th of April, a day after we got our NOA1.    Does this mean that things are going fast in TSC? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2014 Filers	Yeah, just saw that .  I think I will sneak in to the TSC, grab my file and fly to CSC and sneak it in   I've checked TSC and it also has quick approvals, but whether ours will be one of the quick ones depends on luck and I don't know what else, but I think you shouldn't lose hope! We shouldn't lose hope (mine just got transferred to TSC today)!   TSC is actually fast! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2014 Filers	Sent our packet off yesterday via courier mail, but it's coming from Japan so I expect it to take a week or so. Luckily we have moving plans to keep us busy! Nice to hear things are going smoothly for everyone so far.       Nice! Ours was delivered on the 29th (Which was a Saturday so I'm guessing they didn't get to it until Monday the 31st)... If all goes the way everyone has gotten them, we should have some news our NOA1 early next week. Good luck!     Wow, that must feel awesome! That was a fast approval! Congratulations! Starting with 23th -24th of July, they have been approving 10 people or more daily and these are just the ones that have an account on this site. Before that, we could barely see one or two people accepted a week.. Just been transferred and I have mixed feelings about it as well...    I'd say don't worry about it! I'm positive that CSC will approve you guys before recent filers. They have to work in order, according to NOA1 date. I was just joking! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2014 TSC Filers	Since when is TSC moving faster?   Since for a few weeks. I check Igor's List every day and there's at least 10 approvals now every day at TSC. Before that, there were hardly any approvals. And CSC, on the other hand, got really slow compared to TSC in approvals. They might be further ahead than TSC in terms of which month they are processing, but TSC is going faster than them right now. (as far as I see)   They're definitely doing some stuff over there, transferring files and approving lots of applications. I have hopes to get approval for this month. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2014 TSC Filers	I won't post my letter here, if that's what you're implying, but I just took the statistics from the dashboard, added some personal information about how I feel (very minimal) mentioned thousands of couples waiting & wrapped it up. I can send it to you in a private message when I get home from work if you'd like, just don't copy it verbatim.    They say their # is src which is Texas. It seems to be a fluke. We had one a few weeks ago too. I do strongly suggest we write to congress/senators. I'm not trying to get my case pushed ahead, I just want the system to move the way it should instead of screwing us all over. Yes, ideally, I want my fiancé here now, but I'm dealing with waiting til September, I'm just not going to be quiet about waiting longer than I should have to. I understand they're focusing on 130s now, but that doesn't mean others should backlog. My fiancé works at a building that deals with passports for the UK, when they're back logged, they work overtime & get them out like they're supposed to...   I know, it's terrible when there is such a back log... I saw in one of the posts that the amount of files in each center is actually the same every month but CSC is just faster. There are still more than half of the JAnuary filers waiting, I think we'd be lucky to get it in September I've always been positive about this visa process but as time goes by I miss him more and it feels like I don't have enough patience to wait a few more months. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2014 TSC Filers	This whole process is very stressful my fiancé and I have had to refile the last being under VSC and we got caught up in their back log we were not fortunate to be transferred. Now we are with TSC and what do you know another back log I must say I have lost a little faith in the USCIS process. My last visit with him was 7 months ago we text and Skype everyday but its not the same as you guys are aware, I am considering making another trip its just the thought of leaving him behind again its too heart breaking   I know how difficult this whole process is and how heart breaking it is to see CSC April filers getting married already But we have to hold on and not lose faith! I have always thought no matter what happens, it is for a good reason in the future and even though it seems so hard to believe it right now, maybe in the future we will see that this was the best for us.    For me and my fiance, we try to think of this waiting process as saving up more money and me spending more time with my family and friends before I move to the US. This keeps us positive   If you're able to go visit him, I recommend that you should! I've just came back from my visit and it helped us both and gave us more patience to wait Don't worry about leaving him behind again, because it will be the LAST goodbye and the next time you'll see him you'll be staying with him forever!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2014 TSC Filers	I've been using this time waiting to save up money for when my fiancé gets here. I'm currently living with my parents in order to save the money I would be paying on rent & utilities & have a rough estimate of 7 grand by December (assuming we get approved noa2 in September. However, with how slow tsc is being, it could be longer.) I just can't handle being in a long distance relationship, it sucks! (I never wanted to be in one, I just happened to fall in love with him the more we talked). Anyway, it's been a bit over a month since my last visit & waiting 6, 7 or 8 months until I see him again is just killing me. So, I booked a flight last night for mid august. I still have 5 vacation days left at work...and it's $500 more than my last two flights cuz it's summer:( oh, but he's worth it! So, I'll be seeing him again in two months, and hopefully a month later we will get our noa2! Oddly enough, it's $70 cheaper to fly out of the local airport this time instead of driving down to Washington like last time! Yay! I have something to look forward to which should help immensely. I don't know how some of you can deal with long distance relationships...granted, it's brought us really close cuz we have to talk everyday (& I'm so grateful for it, I'll never take him for granted once he's here) I'm also gonna call today about getting a second job one day a week (I work 6 days full time) there's a flagging company that's hiring & they pay really well & seem to always need staff. So, 4 days a month could easily give me an extra $600 a month, which is awesome, if they'll hire me. I'm also gonna take a loan from my 401k cuz there's no penalty, the interest is crazy low & paying back is relatively easy. I can take out $12000 from it, & I have 6 years to pay it back at $50 a paycheck. But I digress...I get to spend another 9 days with my love in 2 months!!! And in case I get an RFE, I'll have even more evidence of having met him (even though I did meet him before I filed). Ok, I just wanted to share my trip. I'm so excited!!!   Yayy!!! Happy that you two will see each other! I know exactly how it feels like I just came from the US, it's been two weeks and I already miss him! But the next time I'll go there, it'll be for good! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2014 TSC Filers	I'm trying to not get my hopes up. They're being so rude to December & January filers when they call in, that I don't think they'll be speeding up to us anytime soon (though I want them to, so so badly) my best guess is things will improve a bit, causing most of us to be approved in the 5 month time. It seems to take 2-3 months from noa2 to visa so I'm hoping mid December anyway, for me. *fingers crossed* we are not planning a wedding. This process is too stressful & I have a very small family & very few friends, so we are just going to the courthouse. Cheap, simple. And we plan on filing for ap with aos so we can visit his family a few months after we're married. All I want is to be matts wife & start a life with him. Long distance sucks & I'm not cut out for this! (I'm not giving up, he's my soulmate). But I digress, aim for December/January. If tsc continues on this trend though, it looks like it'll be next year   I know I also don't want to get my hopes up... There are still lots of months ahead of us. They still haven't even finished January filers, I don't know how in the world an April filer got approved! But it's good news, I guess, I don't hope for much but it made me happy We're thinking of January, too, despite the fact that I've always wanted an outside wedding Oh well..       Lilay:   My fiancé its such a good man that with the goal to distract me and relief the waiting sickness about the procedure, he got me entertained with the shopping online of my dress and all the things that I need for the wedding ceremony.   We are in middle of the planning of 3 important days for us: a good bye reunion with my family in my country (because he will go for me when I get the K-1 visa from the CJ consulate) this because he dont want me do the trip to USA all alone , the civil wedding in NC - that we will have as soon I get there for be able to do the AOS asap- and the wedding celebration with his family in the state where he was born with his family (my parents and sister will travel to be present there). So im really excited because we are together doing plans about what kind of party we will have (probably and outdoor wedding in the garden or backyard) and shopping for our great day andthe best of everything its that his family are getting involved too with the wedding there!.   Will all that I must say that I feel less the stress about the slow work from TSC.   Regards!   Nice to hear that!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Aug 2013 I-130 filers	A simple check is to look at 10 receipt numbers before and after you. You enter your receipt number -1, -2 and then +1, +2 and only look at i-130 petition types.    If they're still pending and most of them have the same priority date ( On August XX, 2013, we received) - it is highly likely that you have THAT priority date.    Like EastYo said, that is the date that they go by (what is on their website) I did this +1 -1 check close to my number(s)--- I never thought of doing it before - and it made me MORE frustrated I see cases FINISHED in the same numbers as my recept #'s  most are other types ie work or travel but there are similar applications done ARGH!!!   I am a Aug filer and you can add my numbers to the mix too if you want to- I am petitioning for my wife and stepdaughter and those numbers are with a PD of Aug 20th and they are MSC1391721587 MSC1391721588   getting closer-- has made this MORE of an obsession --	FD&MDVL	Male	Honduras	2014-02-01 12:07:00

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Aug 2013 I-130 filers	rank 16 boys and girls !!!  Maybe I am missing something, I come to this website for help and information in processing my petition and eventual application for my wife and daughters VISA.  SOmetimes like all of us feel it is too slow and taking way too long-   seeing other peoples NOA2- is VERY encouraging--    Maybe I am looking in the wrong place?  is there an easier way to find this information- or is the FORUMS for some other purpose.   I don't understand the pages and pages of posts that do not provide any pertinent information -- I am not worried about RANK in VISA JOURNEY- I am worried about WHEN I can expect to get my petition passed on to the NVC and WHAT if anything I can do to prepare for that day so the time wasted in the NVC is minimal.   I must admit- when I have to go through page after page after page to find ANY news of relevance- it is NOT working for me- --   Maybe I am a wet noodle- or a party pooper but the website is getting difficult to maneuver and supplying little or no relevant information-   Just my humble opinion- and IF I can FIND information that I am looking for faster - maybe I just need to KNOW WHERE that can be found- and maybe the FORUMS is for other purposes?? I sent in my application for my fiance on July 17, 2013.  I received my NOA1 on July 25, 2013.  I was ready to wait for 5 months, like the wait time says for the California Service Center.  I just got the NOA2 in the mail the other day (August 27, 2013), saying it was approved and was being sent to the consulate in Tegucigalpa.  I am thrilled that it was so fast!! Your Child, the child of a US Citizen is a US Citizen and will NOT have to have a petition, as someone said above.   But you will have to Report the Birth of a US Citizen with the Consulate office.  We completed this for our Daughter and comparing THAT experience with the I130 Petition- NO COMPARISON- it is rather straight forward and quick.  Also as someone stated this WILL effect the affidavit of support and raise the income requirements.  Based on the size of the family.   THe WHOLE IMMIGRATION thing is so long and drawn out ---  My feelings go out to each and everyone faced with this issue.  Keep the faith.
