I want to know why my interview date is going to take nearly twice as long as people who just went through this a month ago. As soon as my stuff gets there, we're going to call/email them and see if we can request an earlier date. It's not like Amsterdam is a super busy consulate where IR visas are concerned.    That's ridiculous! That's a month and a half! I agree, call them. It's too long! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2014 Interviews	Be warned that when you go create an ELIS account to pay that last $165.00 fee: it's a little bit confusing.   They'll ask you for your 'A' number as you're registering online. We looked, couldn't find an "A" number on his visa anywhere. After some googling and re-reading the instructions, we deduced that it is the "Registration Number" located beneath your old IV Case Number that's on the visa (and they even added a couple of digits on the end of THAT).  There's no "A" in front of that number, so you have to put "A0" preceding that number.   Giggling....every...single....thing....about this entire process makes your just scratch your head! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2014 Interviews	Husband's medical is scheduled for this coming Monday and then the interview on the 15th, and now I'm as excited and nervous as a cat in a thunderstorm.  (I'm the US citizen and petitioner)   I'm wondering if he needs to take paper copies of the stuff we initially sent to the USCIS a million years ago (actually one year and 17 days ago), like the g-325a forms for us both and a copy of my birth certificate and driver's license, all that kind of pre-NVC stuff?   We have a list of things in the interview letter that are all covered, all about him (the immigrant). Then the original, then a copy of the original. All clipped together.   Before you send that packet, make a copy of the entire packet for yourself, so you'll know what you sent them. Just my opinion.   2) It's fine if you don't know the Supervisor's name. Middle management people change all the time. The HR at the company will have your information, should they need to check. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - September 2014	Hi, what were your checklists for?   I'm self-employed, so my taxes are a bit complicated. I'd written down the wrong number in the income box, then did it AGAIN (even writing a different number from a different line on my taxes).  Called NVC, thankfully got a nice person on the line, explained that I was having trouble filling out the form and why, and he helped me find the right number to enter.   I had submitted a combination of copies of 2013 taxes and transcripts for earlier years, and my accountant even told me the WRONG number to enter, saying she'd read the instructions multiple times and "You should use this number." I've started completing the forms needed for NVC. I have all the supporting documents ready.     OK, at this point, do yourself a HUGE favor and re-read Saylin's wiki on what to do next.    Read the instructions for the AoS forms very, very carefully (I got 2 checklist rounds for ours. Ugh).  And call NVC if you have a question and ask it BEFORE you send that paperwork in. Keep asking til you understand if you have a question. If the NVC is getting so many forms submitted with the wrong information, obviously the directions on the form need a bit of re-tooling.   You'd think they'd make the form easier to understand to save time.
