http://www.visajourn...y...cat=3&pos=2

Doubt that is from an Indian passport, but it shouldn't look any different (except the passport itself, of course!).

Do you know for sure that there are only male doctors at this place? Maybe she could call in advance and find out, and if there is a female doc, request her specifically?

I don't think I'm following what the question is - are you asking if she'll be denied again? Possibly, but - you never really know unless you try.

I'm not sure why this thread is in the K1 forum, so I'll move it to the forum about tourist visas.

Africa: Sub-Saharanlong distance relationship

Like any relationship, you only get out of it what you put into it. I'm a living testimony that it does work, but it requires a lot of commitment, effort, patience, and understanding. Bottom-line... It requires hardwork & dedication. I don't suggest it for everyone, simply because everyone doesn't have the wherewithal. Most of us were used to traditional dating, which is pretty much nonexistent in online relationships (except phone calls & emails). But you get creative by scheduling chat dates online in which webcams and microphone voice chats, are incorporated into the session.

I couldn't have said it any better.

Also, be sure that you spend some time together in person before making any long term decisions (which sort of it goes without saying, as it is a requirement for a fiance visa, but I still thought it prudent), and if you do decide to continue and have him move here, be SURE he gives careful consideration to what that will actually be like; love and the 'rush' of love are all very well and good, but sustaining a life and a marriage together is difficult enough, let alone cultural and environmental differences.

Good luck in your journey. (F)

The NVC usually doesn't keep cases very long before sending them to the consulate.

Can you contact the consulate and see if they have it (or if they can verify if it was sent)?

OMG

Well, lets see. YuAndDan said 'DOB of beneficiary'.

So maybe the beneficiary (again - foreign fiance/e's) date of birth?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)About NVC

There is only one NVC, and I posted how to contact them in your previous post, please read the replies before making additional posts.

When contacting NVC have Case number, name and DOB of benificiary handy, sometimes the automated system of wrong and need to talk to an operator or email them.

An automated recorded message system can answer many of these inquiries 24 hours a day, seven days a week (603 334-0700). Operators are available to respond to more difficult inquiries from 7:30 AM to 12:30 AM (EST) Monday through Friday. Status of case information and access to an operator can only be provided by entering your NVC case number or CIS receipt number on a touch-tone telephone. Case inquiries can also be made via email at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. NVC only has information on petitions it has received. If our automated service does not recognize the CIS file or receipt numbers you entered, most likely we have not yet received your petition.

What case number? Where can I find it? do you mean recepit number?

Yes the number in the upper left part of NOA1 or NOA2 form, WAC########

"Name" and "DOB of benificiary handy", whose name? and what is
DOB, where do I find out?

Seriously?

The NAME of the beneficiary. Also known as the foreign fiance/e's name?

DOB is a very standard abbreviation for 'Date Of Birth'.

All that was suggested here was a bit of DIY on the OP's part. I also don't think that comment was derived from the question in this thread alone, but from the multiple threads the OP has started, often about easy to research or minor points.

If anyone has a problem answering a question because the information is listed some where on this site then don't answer. Some times people are just looking for a little conversation with others that are going through the same experience.

People who have been at VJ for a while (myself included) obviously don't have a 'problem' answering questions. If we did, we would never have been here as long as we have. Nor would we even have a message board if folks didn't like sharing common experiences.

All that was suggested here was a bit of DIY on the OP's part. I also don't think that comment was derived from the question in this thread alone, but from the multiple threads the OP has started, often about easy to research or minor points.

SamandJulie - I'm afraid fwaguy is right (aside from being a lot nicer about it than most people would be). A lot of the questions you've asked here have painfully clear answers if you'd only do a little research and reading on this site.

As far as being 'hyper' to get the visa - that will be the death of you in this process if you don't calm down a bit and find some patience. Why give yourself an ulcer over something you basically cannot control?

Does NVC give you a tracking number? I never got one... Or do you track by address? I didn't see a feature like that :/

You can really only track by package type (correspondance) and the zip code for NVC. Once you get results for dates near when your package left the facility, then you look for packages going to your consulate's city.

Its all outlined here:

The automated system will not have a record of K1s. You need to speak to an operator to get any information. Try phoning early in the morning or around midnight (eastern time). Yes, they do answer calls that late.

Jim. :( I was wondering about you. I can't believe it - AR. What did they NOT do in 7 months at CSC that they could possibly do now? Makes no sense.

I can't remember if you told me - have you reached out to your senator/congressman again on this one? I do agree that what irritated me the most about being stuck at CSC (and NVC would be the same, I think) is the inability to get any information (other than very general info that isn't helpful). I feel if you are put on AR, you should at least have the right to know WHY.

Add me to this list of waiting for administrative review. Wouldn't it be just wonderful if they'd tell you why? It's your petition after all.

When I've asked them how long this process is the only answer I get is until it's done.

I have a question concerning expiration of the NOA2 approval. What happens if it expires before an interview at the embassy?

Most consulates 'automatically' extend them (London being one of them), while others will take new letters of intent as well. I'd pose the question in the regional forum and see what Manila's routine is (or maybe someone will happen by here who knows).

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusCredit card debt an issue to leaving Russia?

Zhenya has a friend who just told her a story (another scary story from a friend) of a man who was not allowed to leave at the airport because of his credit card debt.
Z has about $3K of CC debt - I plan to finish paying that off after all of these expenses are behind us...

Should this be an issue at any point of her departure? It doesn't seem like it to me, but I told her I would ask here.

Thanks!

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaWaiting for NOA2 What Should I be doing?

Because if you DON'T have an interview date, and if the guidelines change AGAIN - you will incur the fee AGAIN - If you want to POSSIBLY pay for something TWICE, be my GUEST -

well yeah that's correct - The ONLY issue would be for those who have constraints to finances and really dont wanna pay twice. But only if you have enough funds they i say why not go for it. The fee rules/proposals, requirements for visas comes from the US Govt. once changes are made it is uslay set for a v long time. But keep me updated over the bext 1-2 years to see if there will be any changes.. UNLESSSSSSSSS there's again the faults of local law enforcement give incorrect police reports to those citizens who did acts of crimes and the Police Reportings are saying otherwise.... just becuase they (PO) want a few buckx. They started this mess i'm sure we all know this.

Thanks for the advise!!! hopefully I can get my mother in law an interview while I am here in JA and I can explain my situation! This would be most helpful...

yeah good luck to ya .. also my parents havent not gootten an interview.. as yet .. but hey we started gettin the Police Report why wait..? WHY not opperate under the "CURRENT" guidelines - makes much sense to me. Now - should the VISA Requirements CHANGE to give a later date for Police Reports then one can update the f.i.l.e.s as necessary. I just paid the AOS fees for my parents.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaWaiting for NOA2 What Should I be doing?

In JA until August 1st and I need to know the process of the NOA2. I applied for the CR-1 visa on April 15 and we have STILL heard Nothing. I need to know if there is anything that I can be doing while I am here to be ahead of the process of NOA2. I will not be able to see my hubby until 2 months after our baby is born(Due Date: Sept 27th) I was really hoping that during my next visit we would have an interview date. Hubby wants to get his police records now but is this is the best time? When do Jamaica Police records expire? Whatelse should I be doing?

Also trying to have mother in law come to visit me during the time the baby is born so that she can help out with the baby. Any suggestions as to the directions to with a visitor visa for her while hubby is waiting for interview date? Could her visit hender his interview process?

Sorry for the double post - however didnt see that there was more than one inquiry. Her visit would not hinder him with the visa process including the interview. Have her appy for a US visa, now she has to show strong ties to her country of course. Things that are good that would give consideration will be .. A very good job, assests... house, financial information, very close family Mom/Dad/Spouse/Children. Also proof of INTENT TO return to Jamaica perhaps something like - A future upcomming wedding (if single), caring of a minor, sick person etc are just some examples. Know though - THAT it's supposed to go based on a fair process but it is upto the applicate to come with stong ties and be true during the entire process. I really hope all goes good and info was helpful.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaWaiting for NOA2 What Should I be doing?
Well you case Type is typically processed quickly. Police reports from jamaican expires one year after the date it was issued. You can fill out any necessary paper work for the Afidavid of support - pretty much as long as it is dated in the current year or if you dont want to get em dated just fill em out and have em sit there and so all you'd have to so is just sign & date. Photos? Those can be done just about anytime, ensuring that passports are valid least six months from the date of the interview. There are things that can be done - while you wait.

I want to know which one of these do you do?

Do I, take the sheet to any Banco Popular branch in the Dominican Republic to pay the non-fundable visa application fee of the equivalent of US$140.00 in Dominican pesos and an additional non-refundable fee of US$15.00 (the equivalent in Dominican pesos) plus applicable taxes per applicant.

Or

Pay $210.00 the day of the interview in the Consular Section.

Or Both.

Please advise me cause appointment is the 1st week of October.
Thank you.

'kevlam69' - tu pregunta es en la pagina de Jamaica. Banco Popular only process the fees for the regular Visas.

Thanks,

Sorry to know this. What I would do is contact uscis first and ask then IF the GreenCard/Mail was retruned to them. They can send an Inquiry to the location where the card went into production. IF they tell you that there is not mail and the CARD was sent to the correct address then You will be required to file for a replacement :(

The Quickest and Cheapest wasy to file would be online (E-File).

Ok... you DON'T need your passport to APPLY for a SSN in the UNITED STATES of AMERICA... it is not based on where you are located. I'm in tennessee and I'm certain that it's the same in AL if you dont have your passport no worries.. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR GREEN CARD and that is ALL you need. See below.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaRemoval Conditions (children)

The child would not have to be an orphan - The parents could be living, but have terminated their parental rights - The question to research would be how to go about getting that done - Both the mothers and the fathers - Whether it needs to be a court order or what -

But based on the criteria, if she can get the parental rights terminated I think she could adopt them and get them status - they have lived with her more than 2 years and she is the primary caregiver.
