Hi Guys !!

I too am at NVC now (finally!) but no case number yet.
Were using a lawyer so does that mean no choice of agent form will be sent direct?


correct the Lawyer is automatically assigned if it is noted on the I-130. ... otherwise if they just helped to fill out the paper work then you will get the correspondence.

IIN stands for invoice identification number.....................

when i called to get my case number i asked for IIN and they gave me that number.

in order to pay the fees online we have to have that number bec system ask for case number, IIN, and if its petitioner or applicant............................

Do you still have the email (reply from NVC) when you sent email of DS-3032? What did they tell you?


yes emailed it back on May 22, 2011. It says that currently the case cannot be processed at this time.

I saw this at August 2011 Visa bulletin thread. Most of the ppl there are 2008 filers, so they are posting if they got interview schedules. And they are saying that hopefully there are more interview schedules to be released since there are 2weeks more for the next VB. Last VB, there were still some who just received interview after the July VB was out. Go Aug VB!

There are already F2a filers who received interview schedules. So far that I saw PD25Jun08. So as of now, from 22Mar08 VB will jump to 1Sep08 or forward. Since VB schedule dates are 1, 8, 15 and 22. 4mos jump, not bad, but I hope more... since, interview schedules just started to be released and there is still 2 weeks before the next VB. Hope its Dec08 or Jan09. Hehehe

July 2011 VB is 22Mar08. In family preference category includes china mainland, india, phils, and mexico. So if the current PD is 22Mar08, how come there are interview schedules from F2A category this july 2011 in Mumbai, India? Kindly explain this to me, im getting confused. I need some enlightenment. Hello. Dont allow yourself to be confused. I have read how others too (here) just worry and create confusion. The interview schudule posted as a courtry is just there to show when they have scheduled interviews. I dont even see it as a good tool to help guage what priority date cases they are working on ok. Those cases have priority dates march 22, 2008 or before imm sure.

I just signed up and I am glad to be the part of the thread. I am a spouse of LPR and I currently reside in the US, my PD is 12.12.2010 and my I-130 was approved on May 17th 2011. I still didn't get my case number from NVC. It has been almost a month, how can I get it?

It means we all who just got NVC case numbers should not be hopeless......... bec i was thinking that NVC is not even going to touch our cases untill priority date becomes current.

Yes... They will slowly request those things as the priority dates move... The faster it moves... The faster they will request more documents.

Not true. The NVC will not wait until the priority date is current to start proceesing the case that v would case a severe back logs and a huge number of applicants who are documentarily qualified.

Hi guys,
I need some clarification. My I-130 is pending(march 14) and my husband is in a process of becoming citizen July/Aug.
Let assume If my I-130 get approved before he become a citizen, can NVC process all fees etc or they wouldn't start my NVC process as visa numbers aren't avaliable.

The NVC will not process the case as a IR / CR 1 because the category isnt changed until the file is updated with the resudency status from USCIS is thats where the update took place or the petitioner sending the necessary information. Until then no process will begin... But u dont have long to wait.

The VWP is not intended for you to spend more of your time in a year in the US than your home country. You've used it a lot, and for long periods of time. Since you've not used it yet in 2011, you might be ok - or they may feel you're overusing it. No one can tell you if a CBP officer will let you in or not - you'll just have to roll the dice and try, unfortunately. And bring plenty of proof of ties to your home.

I would also suggest routing your flight through Shannon, Ireland, where you pre-clear the immigration checkpoint. That way if you are turned around, you'd have a shorter flight home.
