I have no touches or updates after biometrics. Wanted to check if someone else here is on the same boat or if this has any negative implications. I got FP notice on 1/19/2011 (There was a touch then saying a Fingerprint notice have been mailed). The actual FP date was 02/03/2011 and I went in and it was a weird looking guy who I'm not sure he was very happy to see me LOL.

He did FP and took photo. But I had no touches or updates on 02/03 when I had FP done. I am worried he may not have submitted/transmitted the information electronically and it may appear I never showed up for FP. Has this happened to anyone or is this normal to not get touches a week after your biometrics ?


No touches have to me made on the case because the case isn't touched by uscis the testing is done and then sent to the FBI/other agencies. The case is Normally transferred to he Local office above 30-45 days after the biometrics. Also as Nigel mentioned the Stamp serves as proof.

~~ updating/correcting (noa date) my information. Received appt. notice from today by post. Still haven't received my receipt notice - got appt. notice first. The ASC is 5 minutes from my job. I'm going to go there on Monday or Wednesday with evidence that i cant attend the appointment and see if they will allow me to complete the biometrics then. ~~

Also could someone validate "Bishop M's" NOA date..? is it 1/25 ? it has it that his NOA date is prior to the date the application was sent.

Hi Recardo and all ...ive been busy with work and all, but i did come on just a few days ago also and done some updates ect..

Ok ill be in touch soon guys...last stop saloon for me next wk....i hope they dont ask me to show evidance of my approved 601 waiver yrs ago... cas i never got anything from the DHS back then..just a direct phone call saying i was approved my 601 waiver 130 application....but i still got the stamp/visa in my old pp..i hope that be good for them anyways...fingers crossed..im sure they can dig my file up somewhere..who knows...

The Interviewer pulled out things in my file from years ago asking me questions... boy i tell ya.

FBI - 304 625 5590. then go through Options & have your uscis Notice of action number ready and they might also ask for your ss # to make sure there talking to the real person.

they are likely to ask for the Alien # (A#)... well that was requested when i called.

@ East TN jcty, we stayed at the Holiday INN around GermanTown. It is nice and it is like 10 minutes drive to Virginia Run Cove. It is advisable to saty around germantown or Bartlett, since inside Memphis is dangerous. When we went last year july for my removal of condition interview, we stayed at the Wingate by Rodham at Germantown too. Be safe!

Just came back from memphis for my interview. Just a quick update: My Interview was scheduled for 9:35am,we arrived at 9:10am. Went through security and waited for like thirty minutes before i was called. I was interviewed by a lady. She reviewed my application with me asking me all the questions like my name, my address, my phone number and all some of the yes and no questions. She asked me if i have gotten a ticket before and i told her yes but i didnt know where to write it on the application. She told me that it is no problem and make note of it.



The only document she asked was my driver license, passport, and green card.
She told me that my oath will be scheduled in East Tennessee withing 2-4 months and my oath might be either in Knoxville, Chattanogga or Greenville. She also said that if they dont schedule the oath, then they will schedule me in memphis.

This was the easiest and fastest interview i have ever attended. It took like 10minutes!



I'm glad your Interview was great and i'm sorry you had to drive through the gloomy weather that we now have in Nashville... hmmm I should have given you my contact so that you can stop and Meet for 10 minutes.. so keep that on ya agenda if u gotta drive to Memphis.. A
A ten minute interview is excellent.. I'm not proficient with about 20 questions.. so I will take 2 hours and review those questions.

Ricardo,where do you get this info about disposition of traffic record ? I am also assuming one can take your past 3 yrs tax info for the tax aspect.


The information comes from an immigration officer. Also the 3 tax years of tax shows one filed jointly with his/her spouse to meet the requirement in addition the tax return might show that you owe taxes however not if the owed amounts were paid.

Unfortunately, the service rep said they don't have the details of why her online status is still "Testing and Interview," not "Decision." Se did note the online status is often entered at a different time from the interviews and other steps, but this time they are 100% in agreement. She DID say my wife's application is still under review... or at least has not had a decision entered. This could be simply because of workload at our local office.

Question to January group:

My wife had her interview and was told at the conclusion she passed March 14th. This was two weeks before her 3-year green card residency made her eligible for a decision. At the conclusion of the interview the examiner said she passed, but could not make a decision until last Saturday, the 26th, her 3-year anniversary + 1 day.

Of course we are eager to complete the naturalization process, so we hoped to see an on-line update by now. It is still "Testing and Interview," not "Decision" as we hoped.

My wife wants to travel early this Summer with an American passport, so we don't want to waste time.

Should we call USCIS's customer service at 800-375-5283? Or are we being too eager? If we do call the customer service number, is there a best way to get through the system to talk to a human?

So the whole thing took about 20 minutes and he passed! yay! He left with a letter saying they have recommended his application for approval. They said he'll get a letter about oath ceremony, and that it would be in 2-3 months. Good thing we're not in a hurry :)

i called USCIS today .. told me they are processing N 400 of July 2010 ... so it will probably take 6 more months ...... ####### ....

NOT TRUE.... I know the memphis office currently shows July 2010. But. Look at my timeline and thouse IN the november filers group and u would see that they have been progressed thru the process with in 4 months or so.

Yes it is a busy but good start to the week. just found out from our lawyer( due to complex nature of my husbands case-has over 25 yrs experience) that he has never heard of USCIS being flexible enough to allow an earlier interview-delaying it yes. oh well,i will just travel at a later date, as i definitely do not want to reschedule it for a later time.



hehehehe coming from a lawyer it makes perfect sense = dont expect a quick case = pay more for hours spent on working on the case. I dont go much by what these lawyers think - they're made up. Sure it can be done though - everything had to do with approach - the same rue of "convince" that would be applied to bend it can create a later interview date would be the same to grant a date that is earlier.


I checked out the November 2010 Filers and i feel so bad for those people - they are struggling to get their Interview / Oaths completed - after reviewing their time lines.

I am now getting worried as i have no interview letter and no movement on my file online. If i don't get anything in 10 days time, i will call and try and find out more info.


You completed your biometrics exactly 30 days go - today. Do you know if you passed the Name Check process..? IF I was in your position I would contact them tomorrow. I would not wait 10 more days.. but again that is me... i'm a lil demanding and worst when I'm paying oh.. I'm a true consumer.

Jacksonville, FL ONLY have 11 Oath Ceremonies each year - Wow. In April there is ONLY 1 and that is on the 21st. Nashville has 20+ each year.

uscis website indicates i have been referred for testing and interview. I am praying that it will happen in the next two weeks,so that i can travel on that US passport for an upcoming trip,in addition to immediately applying for AOS for my hubby. Yes, i have already claimed victory in Jesus' name.

This too shall pass.

Standard letter that almost everybody gets. In a few days your wife will get the Interview Letter with date, time & location and what to bring to the interview.


I was not subjected to that standardized letter. I got the regular interview letter as nothing was/is missing from my file.
