Come on now people - this is supposed to be a place where we update folks on the statuses of our cases and ask questions about things we don't understand. Don't hate because ours got approved - we can't predict why or how these things happen. I feel the frustration for all of those who have been waiting - we all know that pain. Please make this a place where everyone can share their joys, frustrations and anything else that comes to their mind.

I agree. I saw people who applied after me get approved before me, so I understand the frustration. But since this is out of our control, let's be happy for the people who have been approved and support the people who have not.

Hating on each other will not change what is happening at USCIS today.

I didn't send any cards because I don't view them as strong evidence either... Perhaps you'll be better off focusing on sending utility bills/insurance information etc in both names coming to the same address over the course of your marriage.

Good luck to you and hang in there. We're here to listen to you if you need to vent. You are fighting a good fight. You are not only fighting for your husband, but for the next person that would get denied because of their ignorance, you are fighting for all of us on this board who believe people need to be educated about our rights as LEGAL PR's. So, I applaud you for trying to teach these people the error of their ways.

PS, I haven't got an unrestricted SS card either. I didn't know I was supposed to since I already had the card and a job. wacko.gif so don't hold that too much against your hubby.

Upon receipt of your ASC appointment notice, you can find the status of your case online at www.uscis.gov. To view the status of your case, enter the application number found at the top of the ASC appointment notice. Note: the I751 form type will be listed as "CRI89" under the application type in our case status on-line tool.

Thank you SO MUCH for quoting this for me!!!

My understanding is that this is only if we get an interview appointment that any status will be online. I tried explaining that an appointment in this type of case is rare and we can't access anything yet (and if we can I'm totally surprised because many threads here have stated otherwise!) If there is a way for me to check status now then I'll do it, although not for these bastards, for my own personal knowledge!!!

Kathleen

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNew processing times - is the USCIS lying?
I agree with Sister Fracas... although I haven't been waiting as long as some people, I too am frustrated. I paid good money, just like the people who paid the same amount AFTER me, why is it fair that they are approved before me????

My frustration is not at the people who have been approved... in fact, I congratulate them, and I am very happy for them that they were able to get through the process quickly... I'm frustrated at the USCIS because there seems to be no process in place as to how they go about approving applications, and if like some people state, the I751 isn't important to USCIS because we are in the States with our loved ones already... well, then they shouldn't have the process at all. We should just be able to apply for naturalization at 3 years, or renew our GC after 10 years, or 5 years.

I married in good faith and sent them all 4 of the primary things they ask for, joint leases, joint tax returns, our babies birth certificate, joint insurance... why do I have to wait longer to be approved then anyhow who filed after me... if only someone at USCIS could explain that to us - that would be nice, instead of these ####### fictional dates they come up with!!! girlwerewolf2xn.gif

I'll get off my soapbox now ClockWatch2.gif

WHY can,t one of you guys call UCIS and let them knew that you are out of window and would like to know what happened

USCIS asks you to wait 30 days after you are out of the processing window, probably to allow any correspondence to reach you, and then to call the service number to place a request to look after your application. For the people whose NOA date is before 2007-01-27 that would be 30 days after Nov 14, and for the people like me whose NOA date is before 2007-02-09 that would be 30 days after Dec 15. If the service request doesn't give any results, we can either just wait while letting the USCIS extending our status with annual I-551 stamps into our passports or contact our federal representatives to put pressure on the USCIS to put their act together.

I am less angry at the slow processing of the I-751 than at the apparent dishonesty of the USCIS. Their processing dates don't make sense anymore when compared with the experience shared at this board. Why playing this charade? Is there a major breakdown inside the USCIS that has been covered up so far? The supposed increased number of application doesn't explain lying, does it? Why not just telling that all I-751 are shelved until further notice, because of more urgent applications? Our I-751 are less urgent applications, because we can work and travel in the meantime, until the USCIS adjucates our cases. And I don't fear a sudden rejection either, because it would probably not come out of the blue but only after a RFE and a video taped interview.

I haven't added your dates to the list yet, because your NOA is still way out of the processing window, but you should enter your dates into the long status thread.

I agree, the "lying" is more frustrating then anything else! The time lines on their website are COMPLETELY useless. it means NOTHING! because even if they pass those dates, you have to wait another 30 days to complain and then another 45 days to hear back from them! So now you're another 2.5 months out! It's ridiculous.
The people "updating the time line" would be of better use if they were reviewing and approving applications. anyhow, as I said previously, I have nothing to complain about, I knew this going in... all you can do is wait.

I have no idea how this should be reflected on either this list or the TSC Loser® List.

I missed that piece of news... amazing that they just took the whole pile and transfered it to VSC... I'd like to see how backed up VSC will be now. wacko.gif

You'd think they could take 1 or 2 of the 1,500 people they hired just to sit at a desk and go through that pile, instead they used that person just to process a FedEx label to move the files to another office... blink.gif
