US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 January 2013 Filers	My husband got his passport last friday and his passport card yesterday. Hopefully he'll get his naturalization certificate back next week. US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 January 2013 Filers	A few more tips for the Oath ceremony the earlier you get there the better seats you end up having, as well as I would do the passport application first since the line will be HUGE! US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 January 2013 Filers	The parking was good we went to a parking lot around the corner (which was $10) versus the one right beside the Paramount ($20). I did apply for my passport right after the ceremony. I highly recommend having everything together (application signed, a check or money order, 2 photos, and grey envelope you received at your interview) Also bring a pen (to sign your certificate) and get one of those hard cover naturalization certificate folders that they sell outside ($15). After we received our certificates we had to file out to the main lobby and it was PACKED! It was very crowded so it helps to have that folder (or any hard binder folder) to keep your certificate intact. Also if you are doing passports make a "copy" of your certificate I took a pic of mine with my iPhone so I had one for my records in the meantime. Bring a camera as well as we are allowed to take pictures and there was a photo op with the American flag. FlipgalRN Thank you so much. US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 January 2013 Filers	Did my Oath ceremony today I was one of 1009 new citizens and there were 95 countries represented. The ceremony was very touching. They gave us a package (with passport applications, voting info, oath, letter from the president, etc) It was a mad house afterwards lining up for passport applications and voter registration. Looks like I will be back for my husband's ceremony at the end of the month. A little tip to everyone bring a pen! Plus they sell hard cover certificate folders outside the ceremony venue (get one). It's so worth it! Keeps from getting your certificate smashed in the crowd as you file out and apply to vote and get your passport. USCIS Service Centers	Is CSC going slow?	Im not complaining or anything but everyday I really check the Immigration timeline here in VJ and notice that lately there has not much approved petitions coming from CSC... I notice that for most July filers it takes more or less 80 days to get approved compared to June filers who got approved more or less within 70 days... Before, i see someone or several people get approve everyday but now it takes days for new approvals... What you guys think is happening? Today is our day 81 and still waiting... And there are a lot of early july files still waiting too... so, they arent approving july filers with 80 days. We really hoped to be approved around day 70 as June filers. So, we stopped to think about it or it would make us crazy! Just think that in few months you'll be living together and you will forget these endless days (I hope). Does the name you used on the forms match the name on your passport? Yes, I used the exact name I have in my passport and in all the other identification documents. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	All Other Names Used	We applied for K1 and we’re waiting for our NOA2 and, in the meanwhile, trying to get all the requested documents for Packet 3. Two days ago I went to look for my birth certificate and I found that there were my first name, no middle name (i don’t have any middle name in my docs), my last name and… two “other names”. They are a kind of middle names but recorded in a way that they don’t appear in my documents. I never used these two “other names” and they don’t appear in any other official document. So, I completely forgot about them. The problem is that when we filled I-129F and G-325A (Biographic Information), we wrote “None” in the cell “All Other Names Used”. I know I should have checked everythings three times but now it’s too late and what we want now is to find a solution. We don’t want to be unapproved because of it. What should we do now? Is there any chance to modify already-sent forms? If we couldn’t modify them, should we fill next forms (DS230 for instance) in the same way(writing nothing in that cell) or should we add them with the risk that it would contain different information respect the already-sent forms? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	HELP HELP please! i'm kinda worried!!	I went to SF twice, before we filled K1, on a tourist visa (esta). I never told at the POE I was visiting my boyfriend. We applied then in July and at the end of the same month I went to SF one more time as tourist. At the POE the officer asked me if it was the first time for me in SF and I replied it was the 3rd in the last year. So, he asked me why I traveled so many times and, this time, I told that was because of my boyfriend. He asked few questions about my boyfriend and his family (such as which his job was, where he lived,etc) and then nothing more. He let me in.
