BTW, you need to find funnier profile picture... I guess 18 IS your lucky number.....very happy they didnt make you wait too long for approval...now I am at peace..LOL About the pic..cmon now..dont you find that cute!!! Im no Kanye West fan but the kitten is cute.... To all those waiting for approval...be patient..IT WILL HAPPEN.... Before I start following the crowd in the naturalization forum in a few months I want to say a very big Thank you VJ for providing this forum for us to vent, share, ask and get informed or just log in to kill time...thank you. There should be a party going on in your head right now.... strange as it sounds I am feeling guilty to be all overjoyed and excited coz somewhere inside of me I feel sad that there are so many folks that have been waiting for so long ...wayyyyy longer than me and i feel bad for them.... I filed at VSC the same time as you....and last week I gave them a call, although I knew their answer will be wait for 6 months.....Since they record and register all applicant calls maybe my call last week somehow created some movement in my forgotten. Youc an give it a try, call them, simply say you were wondering and anxious sicne a lot of people you know got approved. She/he will say call after 6 months etc..politely hang up.... maybe that will wake up some dead person/file or system...just a shot in the dark but you have nothing to lose. This morning i was having a heated arguement with a co worker Then I get a text message from USCIS saying case update.. So I logged in and It said on march 11th we ordered production of your card...... Thank you for your prayers....Prayers do get answered. VSC beat me to my prediction by 4 days... I am hoping for approval Yurika&Jim next.... COngrats!!!!!!!! I got my card yesterday; the date is 02/25/2010 I am praying for Susan73 and the others... God is testing their patiance..... Im glad you are relieved.... No I am not expecting an approval for myself anytime soon... Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	November Filers	Yurika & Jim, I was just looking at my NOA... The Receipt date on it is Nov 2nd not 4th as I said earlier. Online status says - We received your application on Nov 4th... This NOA is the second one sent to me...apparently the first one wasnt received by me so i called and asked for another... This second one has a date of Dec 9th on top and below it it also says receipt date Nov 2nd...So what is my real date..Online one Nov 4th, Nov 2nd as bper letter or the Other date of Dec 9th!!!! No idea what this infopass thing is and how to get appointment from them but will research.... This travel duration is going to be less than 3 months however after she returns back to the US and if my duration is extended in Swiss then I may invite her again. Sure, she'd be going to citizenship as soon as the time comes. Is there any rule that prevents her stay outside US and for how long? and what happens if the total duration is broken into several trips back and forth ? Many thanks in advance! I understand the process is normally: 1- Mail the packet 2- Within 2/3 days of mailing the packet, NOA is received stating 1 year extension 3- Appointment for biometrics 4- Interview ??? 5- GC received My situation: I'm currently working on a project in Switzerland that's where I'll be staying for next few months. My wife's current GC expires on August 26th. I've applied for my wife's schengen visa and she'll be joining me here in Swiss in couple of weeks and she'll return back to US a week before the GC expires (this is the plan). I see the trends for Biometrics which is called in 3-4 weeks after receiving NOA. Now the question is; when letter for Biometrics is received, can we re-schedule it for a date range in August? and would the is be advisable? Also, is there an interview called at/after biometrics? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	how late is too late?	hello Friends, I'll have to apply i-751 for my wife who'll be travelling to join me in Swiss for over a couple of months. From previous posts I've found out that I have to sign the application along with my wife, during my wife is out of country she's going to receive biometrics appointment and maybe interview etc...So the question is her current GC expires on August 26th and we're planning to return to the US around August 21. I'll make sure I have everything ready to be mailed out on Monday (23rd) with expedited mail and delivery confirmation etc...I'm sure the packet will arrive at USCIS by August 25th. This way my wife is going to be there and for biometrics and interview etc... What you guys think? I'll try to get her passport stamped which will give her 1 year extension (i think) however, not sure if there'll be enough time to get appointment since she's traveling very soon? My husband was such a great help for gathering all the documents for the last 2 years. (My job was to fill out the form and it only took me a few hours :-)) I still feel nervous until I receive 10 yo GC, but this time around I'm more calm than panicky. I sent the following documents with I-751 form and a check. Do you think it was enough evidence? Military spouse ID card Military dependent record shown as me as his defendant/spouse/beneficiary 2008 joint tax return Chase debit cards on joint account Recent statements from Chase (Sept. Oct. "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283." I assumed it is too soon to be registered on the USCIS system. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	When to contact USCIS	Hi All. It's been 130 days since I received NOA. My online status is last updated a day after bio appt. Most of the December filers are already approved. I know that I'm still within 6 mon. frame but is it a good time to contact USCIS? I heard some stories that some people didn't know they had the interview appt or the REF pending due to the postal error. Also, USCIS sent out the document to several different offices that they are just sitting on the application until the applicants call to investigate. When I go online to make an appt, after selecting an office, I pick "You need Service on a case that has already been filed", then on the following page, there are 4 options. 1. Order from Immigration Court 2. Case Processing Appointment 3. EAD inquiry appointment 4. Case Services follow-up appointment I would pick #4 but I don't have "Service Request ID Number".
