How accurate has the processing estimate been for you in your timeline given to you by VJ.com using other user stats? Was your case adjudicated between the time that was provided? way after before...? what?

Hey all, I may be bearing great news :) I just called the USCIS to check on my case and got a rep that stated that they are currently working on JUNE 6th 2011 CASES!!!! And he was so nice to put in a request to have them get back to me with an update since my case is very much around that time. I got a confirmation number and all lol :) :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

I'm so excited and jumping out of my chair! yayz....hey im happy to just find someone that was able to give me more than the automated system or a dumb rep thats giving me the same stupid info that was last updated Aug 31st.


YAY!!! Hang in there JUNE and other filers SOMETHING GREAT IS COMING OUR WAYYYY!!!!!!!

Me too...Ive been waiting since May..and we just found out yesterday Im expecting...not great timing but im on mother natures clock as opposed to immigrations i guess...



first off CONGRATSS!!!! and im sure yours is being processed like ASAP! like anytime now...like int he next 5 mins :) I called the uscis today and heard that they are currently on JUNE 6TH from the rep!!!

Well as I see it...the status dates may be inaccurate BUT they DO mean something. They mean that if you are OVER 5 months waiting, you can ask for a service request, instead of being told to wait another 2 months before even calling. So it is not for nothing. I'm not at that point yet but I am glad for those who can now at least ask what's going on...

I know, but mine seems to take the longest I've heard of judging by everybody's timelines. And the check hasn't been cashed either.



For your own sanity sake, plzzzz stop worrying at this stage... !!! :innocent: its not gunna do you any good....!!! Spend time getting everything set for you interview and possible RFE...(hope not) but jsut read up and spend time gettin all papers n forms all set and sign n dated...im sure u're not familiar with all else after you get the NOA2 soo that may be fun to do...get ur DS 156, 157 157K info sheet etc filled out n sorted :)

this part may be long but u may have a speedy NOA2 which beats any "long" wait for a text or email saying they got ur package


Keep us posted. you'll hear word soon

You've got more wait ahead, calm down....from previous timelines this sometimes take a little more time...and as we all know "EVERY CASE IS DIFFERENT" <---- i kno u hate hearing that but it is what it is.... either that or the ppl that are working at eh USCIS are bumming it out having coffee and out files lol and tossing them in the garbage seeing who can get more balled up paper in 1 minute

What I'm trying to say is save that worrying when its needed...not now at this stage....

USCIS Acceptance Confirmation 10/31/11
Paper copy (Form I-797) 11/9/11

Please wish us luck and a million thanks for all the great help, guidance, and good vibes from everyone here. This is really a journey to remember and man am I a ball of nerves :)

We do have a question though, how long generally will it take before our "receipt number" will work with the USCIS website? I keep getting a "not valid / not-found" error. Is this common?

Excited, scared, and just totally jazzed... wow... I hope to be married soon :) :) :) :)

My number has never worked. It always says "cannot be found at this time." I have come to realize it's a blessing because it prevents me from checking it every day only to be let down.




hahah, that would be a blessing indeed. but perhaps you'd want to call and make sure ur number is recognized but the automated system....or maybe it just hasn't been put in the system yet....im not sure when they put it in..i started tracking mines prob a month in (no psychotically at this point, lol)

hey my friend said she is going to do an expedite request on thursday but i also called the USCIS today and got a really overwhelming lady that helped for other routes.... try emailing vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov and see what they say include you previous referral number if you did a service request and didnt get a much detailed answerrr! be sure to put in all the info you can think about both DOB's names state titles of yourself and of course include the receipt number and what form it is that u've submitted


Hope something helps from that! im hoping the expedite request does something for me :/ I'll be emailing that email tonight as well i really cant sit around doing nothing I try all alleys :)

We finally got an interview date scheduled! Hooray!

JANUARY 5, 2012 !!!

Our case closed at NVC on October 28th so seems we've been waiting forever! I thought the NOA2 process was bad -- I think this wait was worse because we knew when it arrived at the NVC, when it closed, when it got shipped to the Embassy and when they received it etc etc etc. Just sitting around waiting for this date and knowing each step along the way (albeit with many calls to NVC and the DOS!) -- for some reason this wait seemed worse and I think it's only because our expectations were that we wouldn't be waiting this long for a date! :whistle:

Anyhoo... just wanted to share our excitement and we will definitely post results! Pray for an approval for us!

Been waiting 8 months for approval . Received a email for Vermont service center today saying my application had been expedited since it is outside of normal processing time . Great news , and I hope it can be approved by Christmas .

You will be approved soon. My case was also expedited due to being outside of normanl process time on dec 2 and on dec 5 (yesterday) I was approved fom vermont.

After a long and stressful 181 days, we finally received our NOA2 today, we could not be happier.

Can anyway advise us on what happens now? I understand that our file is now sent to the NVC, how long does this take? Is there anything we can do to speed this up?

On another note, abit of advice for others who are anxiously waiting for their approval. We contacted our local congress office and explained that we were past the processing times and if there was anything they could do. They ended up writing to USCIS asking for an update on our behalf, although we only received a generic response form USCIS, our petition got approved 4 days later...so I have a feeling that their involvement sped things up for us!



Glad to hear that the congressional office has been helpful in recent cases! my expedite request will be sent int tomorrow by the congressional office but anxiety i sent an email to the vsc today after seeing someone was approved the same day<----- may be strong coincidence but hey i like to get everything i could do done as soon as i can

Congressman, congressman, congressman. On 23 Nov 11 I called the hotline and I was told 15 days. On 7 Dec 11 I called the hotline and they put me through to a very rude Immigration Officer who spoke over me and then hung up. I live close to my congressman so I went to his office and filed a complaint. On 8 Dec 11 At 12:30 pm I received an email from USCIS re: my 23 Nov 11 Complaint stating I should have a response in 60 Days. On 9 Dec 11, the next day, I got notice that the NOA2 was approved. Given the date and time of the 8 Dec 11 email I assume my congressman had everything to do with it.




I can truly attest to that congressman inquiry! worked for me and so did for others...i saw ppl that got their noa2 the same day as the congressman inquired about their case! do it make the trip and I hope its worth it for you ....if nothing becomes of it they try back in 5 days!!!

Same they told us when we tried to call they said call back at the 5th month but still nothing... i don't discourage you but hopefully you'll get your NOA2. Me and my Fiance just hoping here to get our 2nd notice soon before January its so frustrating!! :crying:

June filer here. I have been in touch with my local congressman since mid November...they told me that my case is with an adjudicating officer, on their desk for them to process. This was last week, Wednesday. Had an appointment to meet with a local immigration officer this morning in Irving, Texas. Appointment was scheduled at 9:30 AM, arrived 5 mins before, checked in, they gave me a slip of paper with a number on it and said to wait til my number was called. 30 mins go by, 45 mins go by, 1 hour goes by, still, nothing! The people who came in with me at 9:30 AM had already met with an immigration officer and left! ####### finally I got up and asked someone when I could speak to an officer about my case and they said wait, someone will be with you. I told the it's been over an hour now...they said to get BACK IN LINE to see if my number was in the system. I was thinking to myself you gotta be f-ing kidding me. So I get back in line and then someone calls my number. Finally sat down with an immigration officer and right when she opened her mouth she was very rude and had an attitude. She told me the same thing I already knew, that my case was with an officer at VSC. That's it. Then she told me to email VSC, I told them I already have. She said email them again, I said I already have, no response to any of them. She said that is all she can tell me. I had to bite my tongue from saying some harsh words to her. Man o man was I pissed off. So hopefully tomorrow I can call up my congressman and they can do something cuz I'm leaving Saturday for a month to visit my fiance for the Holidays and would love LOVE to give her some type of news!

This process is just a nightmare. So terrible. Hate it.
