My case was completed on 12/19 and I received my interview for 3/1. If all goes well you should have a case complete this month. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	received checklist today	My joint sponsor doesn't own a passport she doesnt fly... Do i need to send the whole packet over again? If your joint sponsor doesn't fly bring copy of birth certificate. Basically anything that proves they are a us citizen. You cannot just replace pages that need to be corrected as it clearly says so you need to fill out the app again with the corrections they have requested. Fill out the whole document with correct ink and provide copies of US passport of sponsors. A girl we met at the consulate had a hard time cause they requested a copy of the joint sponsors passport and she didn't have it so make sure to bring it on onterview. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Interview List for Santo Domingo for February '13	Today, they just published the list of interviews scheduled for the month of February 2013. http://santodomingo....pointments.html Despite having confirmation that my case was completed at the NVC on 21-DEC-2012, I just found out that we did not get scheduled for February. I have been calling the NVC every other day and today before calling, I checked the published PDF. I immediately called the NVC and asked if there was something wrong with my case and why hadn't I made it. I was told that other cases were in the pipe (ahead of ours) and to hope for next month. I went as far as asking if I would be scheduled for March (knowing he couldn't answer that) and he said that I should check again between February 4th and February 15th, which are the days when the March interviews/cases will be scheduled. I'm publishing this note here in case others are in the same process and can use the guidance. I'm frustrated, disappointed, exhausted, sad, unhappy, angry at the world, etc. Peter Give them a call. Everything must be on-point and $$ has to be paid in advance not even without a guarantee of a visa yet I keep hearing horror stories of things that should simply not happen. If it will just be your wife and yourself it will be approximately $18,912.50 based on 125% of the $15,130 for 2 people in the household. This is considering you are in the 48 contiguous states and DC. Hope this helps. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Does I-864 needs to be notarized?	All of these forms are relatively simple to fill out. Although you may think they are all self explanatory I recommend reading over the instructions prior to doing so as suggested by pushbrk. Yes, they will need 3 AOS forms. I sent both AOS forms together with another cover sheet requesting they be processed together to be on the safe side. they should already know that, but you can never be to safe. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	If I file 3 seperate i130s (wife and two step daughters) will they be joined?	Each case will receive their own NOAs and Embassy Case Numbers from NVC. You'll only pay one AOS Fee but 3 IV Fees and you'll submit 3 AOS Packets with almost identical information (just changing the beneficiary but acknowledging the other 3 beneficiaries in your household size). NVC won't schedule any interviews until all 3 cases are completed. When the interviews are scheduled by NVC they might be for different times but on the same date and honestly the kids' interviews will be conducted simultaneously with the Mom's. Thanks for clearing this up. So correct me if I'm wrong. 3 seperate cases. I pay one AOS but fill out 3 AOS forms (1 for each). I sent the I-130 for my wife and step-daughter together in the same envelope, with a cover letter requesting that they be processed together. It was that easy. We all ended up with different NVC numbers but all got sent the same interview time and date so figure that means they ended up together at some point So they stayed seperate all the way until the interview date? I received my NOA1 for all the i130 forms already (the email and text but not physically) but they were listed as separate receipts. I would like to know if after NOA2 will I receive a single case # and if I will have the interview appointments for the same time? Girls are 7 and 11 if that makes a difference. We were just married in the beginning of this month and the passports were issued in December. My question is as follows: If my wife's passport shows her maiden last name (meaning my last name isn't present on the document) will she have to get a new passport or will it be fine since her Green Card will have her pic and info on it as well? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Will being denied for a B2 tourist Visa affect chances for a CR1?	As stated by my title my wife had been denied a tourist visa (B2) two times in the past once in 2005 and another one in 2008. I was wondering if this would affect our CR1 process now. At the time she was denied we were not married. I had been living in Dominican Republic since 2000 and actually returned in 2008. That is the last time she attempted the tourist visa attempt in order to come see me. If anyone has any input with this please let me know. In the i130 app I actually forgot about this and answered question #16 which states "Has your relative ever been under immigration proceedings?" We answered no being that the process was never commenced since she didn't meet the requirements. Please let me know what you think I should do regarding our answer to that question if anything or if her two previous apps for a tourist visa will affect her CR1 now. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	AOS I-864	In order to do less paperwork I just used my dad's income even though he files joint taxes with my mother but his income alone is enough to sponsor me. Something to think about. Steph..What did you submit aside from the income tax transcript or income tax docs themselves since it says Joint/married? If you mail them in together they will receive separate receipt #s, case numbers etc etc but will be processed together. You do need to file seperate i-130s.
