Finally posting for the first time- i read the forum almost everyday and want to let you all know that all of you make this so much easier for me as I don't know anyone directly involved with the visa process other than myself. Hopefully things will speed up this week.... my projected date on my timeline is creeping into middle of september- it started at August 19th for the NOA2- what's with the delay- is everyone on vacation?? thanks so much- yeah i'm thinking i should cut myself off from looking at my timeline as it just makes me more frustrated- i have been hearing over and over again especially with all the proposed changes with immigration laws that the fiance visa is really the only wayt to get over here- i'm happy we're doing it so young. i'm completely over the ' long distance is doable' thought though.... does anyone know about fiances visiting the us? my fiance was saying he's heard of people have trouble because of the landing cards and how theere is a clause that states you dont' have intentino on trying to become a citizen? he hasn't been visiting here because of it- making be have my 129038129038129 th visit to the uk... ha. i have been reading though that peoples fiances have been visiting here.	dssb	Not Telling	United Kingdom	2007-08-13 07:48:00

US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Disappointed....... but keeping the faith	Hi everyone......... I'm sure you have seen this kind of post many times before but I guess I just need to vent my disappoint. We submitted packet 3 documents by fax on March 7th hoping for a interview sometime in April. We could have submitted starting the 3rd week of January, but I was locked into a teaching contract through the 3rd week of March. The reason we waited was because I want to go to Colombia to be with my fiance for the interview process. We were trying to time it out, and after viewing other timelines for the amount of time between submitting packet 3 and a interview date, I thought it would work out in our favor. Well.... I just checked the newly posted April interview dates on the US embassy website and did not see our case number. Needless to say we are very disappointed. I was poised and ready in my own mind that I would be going to Colombia sometime in April. Especially since my fiance's mother, who is getting married, was waiting to know our interview date so she could schedule her wedding while I was there. The only thing I can think of is that the embassy is busier now and we have to wait longer. Or our documents never arrived by fax, though we have fax confirmation receipts that says the transmission went through. I wrote the emabassy so maybe they will respond. Ok...... I feel a little better.... Thanks for reading my post, and most of all thanks for all your past advice. Disaapointed in San Diego........ I feel you.. I'm kind of the same but not exactly. I filed my 485 back in August hoping that by March, I'd have my green card. As of now, no word on the interview or gc yet. Meanwhile, I have a groom and an April wedding waiting for me in Manila We're moving the wedding to May, hoping I'd get it next month. I'm staying positive and keeping the faith that everything will turn out fine, I'm longing to see my fiance though! I wish us all the best of luck. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Anyone else getting realllyyy ticked off?	It is a very difficult and long and frustrating process. I feel your pain. We were unable to get expedition, and then my husband deployed right around the time my interview finally got scheduled, so now I am actually requesting that they delay issuing my visa so that I can stay in my home country until he comes back in a year or so, as he was hte only reason I was moving to the US in the first place. I don't want to go there and live alone! Anyways, if you want my advice it would be to try and live in the moment and focus on what you DO have (love and health at least I hope). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Anyone else getting realllyyy ticked off?	Lets be honest folks, how many others are throwing thier hands up almost in disgust at the situation? I mean raelly? Im heading towarrd 7 months now from the date of my NOA1. There were calls of patience way back when, but now its pretty much all a joke to me. I feel almost as if ive given up, or as if this process has taken the pleasure out of the whole point of all this. This is really bad on a relationship to say the least, and extremly cruel. I hear you.. my application just turned seven months. I was only allowed to make an SR yesterday to see where my file is. I believe another 2 weeks for the SR to go through... quite an agony. I feel like most of my energy and thoughts are focused on this. Know what, we just have to stay positive that everything's going to turn out fine. I enjoy reading all the success stories here and I feel happy for everyone whose journey is over and I also say to myself, I'll be reading my own success story pretty soon. We will! I'm sure that there is a ton of pressure to push through as many naturalizations as possible in order to allow these people to vote this year, whichever way they vote. Our fiances cant vote, so its lower priority. My point on the director is that, when the boss is out, the workers tend to slack as well. Plus, they will just say - well these delays will help test the strength of the relationships, a further test that they are "real". Course if the director really is appointed by the President (although he works for Chertoff) then thats a 4th reason, Bush may not wish to appoint anyone so close to an election, and they might throw in an "interim" director, who will see no benefit in kicking butt. -D	daddeus	Male	Japan	2008-04-17 17:57:00

H1-B April 1st onslaught - 165000 applications for 85000 slots 2. Election 2008 Naturalization Pressures - need to have those citizens to vote for Obama/Hillary 3. Gonzalez Stepping Down - when the cats away, the government workers slack off Its a Triple Whammy...even the VSC is hit. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Is it possible to contact VSC?	Hi all- this is a bit of a vent, but I think I need some perspective- thanks! I got the NOA1 Nov 30, and not a word since then. My USCIS online account didn't work, but I was finally able to access it last week. I saw that my application hasn't been touched since Dec. 3 (presumably to cash the money order). I thought that applications are handled in the order in which they are received, so how come mine has been sitting there for months without even a glance from one of the officers, while others with much more recent NOA1 dates have already been approved? (I just want to know why mine hasn't been looked at, not why it hasn't been approved yet grrr) Anyone who filed with VSC in late Nov have the same experience? I sort of feel like it's too early to complain, but I'm beginning to wonder if my folder fell behind a desk...Is there any way of contacting them directly? It seems like a long shot, but I thought I'd ask anyway. One note to VJ about the estimated adjudication dates: I don't think it is quite fair to suggest contacting USCIS "if the date range has passed" because this is sometimes a lot less than the processing time that USCIS projects, and they will not check up on individual cases before that time has elapsed. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-1 processing after NOA2	Has anyone completed the K-1 process through the Dublin embassy lately? I'm wondering about the wait time between the NOA2 and the interview (I haven't received NOA2 yet but expect it any day now). I've also got another little question: I received my NOA1 at the end of November, so if there were a problem with my petition do you think they would have let me know by now?
