Hey fcat.

No i didn't do it with the online courier system, ive read on here where some ended up having a nightmare doing it that way . some even had to pay that twice to get their passports back so i did mine on the day at the embassy itself.

yes they asked when i wanted to fly - i told them asap as my step daughter was ill in california. yeah i will let you know when its been delivered back to me too. 

 

Ugh! you've got me worried now! i pre paid and registered for delivery to the house!

 

Wonder if i can just forget that and d the same as you did? i'll ask when i get there i guess.

After my interview the lady gave me a pink slip , i was told to fill it in and go around to the back of the building and up some steps , a lady was sitting at a desk , i gave her my pink slip and paid £8.85, that is for home delivery as far as i am aware between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

I am due to fly on 27th, hope it is back with me or then. will keep you updated when i get it back .

I was asked because when our attorney sent our file to NVC my husband had applied for an extension on his 2012, but by time i went to my interview he had filed his 2012 Tax return,so i was asked for his 2012 tax return that he had since then filed smile.png  as for the I-864  that was filed at NVC. 

If i can help with anything else fcat don't hesitate to ask. 

I advise you to be at the Embassy for 7am, first in first out was the case with me smile.png , and like i said only took less than an hour once in the building smile.png . 

When i got home yesterday i checked on CEAC website and it said in Administrive Processing , but this morning it changed to Issued , so dont panic when you see that on yours too smile.png

Congrats!! you say in your review you were asked for copies of your husbands 2012 tax forms, did you supply these to the NVC too with your I-864 ?? or were these missing which is why they wanted them ?

Have my medical in London on Monday, interview at the embassy on the 27th Jan, flying out to US around 10th Feb  all been well, my POE being Washington DC. Just arrived back into Manchester from there at 5am this morning after 9 weeks with my wife and family over Christmas and New Years.The next flight over is going to be the last one for a long time:) Over the last 4 years of our relationship I've flown over and back 23 times! We started this journey on the 15th Jan 2013 and will end it hopefully a year and a few days later:)

I filed mine (i -130) january 5. My noa1 is jan 10 2013. Till now we never heard from uscis since then... Worst thing is we cannot check our status online bec it has "MSC" on my reciept...

Well, All i know is waiting is not fun.

 

Just because you have an MSC number doesn't mean you cant check it online!

If anyone wants to drop the USCIS an e mail you may have a better response than calling them.

My wife sent them the following e mail 2 weeks ago and we just today got the reply telling us our case was sent to the Washington DC field office on the 28th Feb.

Send an e mail to: NCSC-Customerconnet@uscis.dhs.gov

All she put was:

Could you please tell me if my I-130 petition has been transferred to a local office, or if it is still at the National Benefits Center?

This has just started to appear in red bold print on the USCIS website when i check our case status:

"Expect a 30-45-day delay between when your application or petition is filed and when your information is available in Case Status Online, depending on the volume of applications USCIS receives."

The marriage certificate will be enough to prove bonafide marriage!

What you have to prove is a bonafide relationship prior to marriage, pictures of you over the years, e mails, chats, phone calls etc etc

Had a friend recently come over to the US for our "wedding"  2 weeks ago, inher suitcase was:

 

3 tinned  Heinz sponge puddings! (chocolate, and treacle!)

4 bars of Dairy Milk

2 packets of Warburtons crumpets

1 block of lard!!( to make Yorkshire puddings)

2 Warburtons seeded batch loafs!

2 packets of wine gums

 

I'm struggling a little here in VA, not with food just with life in general :(

I'm like that when I go to the dentist xD I am always nervous days before, plus it doesn't help that my dentist isn't very nice sometimes sad.png

 

 

Update!  My awesome GP let me fit in a last minute appointment today. I showed her the letter Knightsbridge gave me, and also a consent form thing. I explained what the doctor at the medical told me and she said: "I'm surprised they are making such a fuss, I know it caused you some trouble with school but that's about it!"  and she said she'd write the letter for me first thing tomorrow and it should be ready by Monday at the latest (or maybe even tomorrow!) for me to pick it up.  Is it okay for me to have the letter, take it to the post office, and post it (with the fastest possible mail that royal mail will do biggrin.png)  ?  I know they say to fax it but the receptionists at my doctors are really absent minded and seem to forget/misplace things alot xD

 

If it were me i'd get the letter from the Dr and fax it myself, shouldn't cost you more than a pound or so plus you'll get a confirmation sheet its been sent. Id then put the original in the mail (but keep a copy yourself)

 

Imagine how much mail the embassy gets a day!

Well, I don't know. But the questionnaire you print at home definitely asks "have you ever used tobacco". The way thats phrased, I think if you have done so, the honest answer would be yes. Its the other one that was worded differently that worried me. Anyway, its a silly technicality as they wouldn't be able to care if you were a smoker! If they ask you about it you can just say it was just a couple of times smile.png

 

The reason I decided to own up to it was I felt if i said no, they'd be suspicious that I was lying as i feel a lot of people try it once but then there is me over thinking it! I wouldnt worryH

 

How far do you take things ?

 

I used tobacco once, never smoked it, i used a friends roll up tobacco to start a fire when we were camping! do i have to put that down ?
