IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports6 to 12 months for NOA2 from Washington DC office...

Yes! I can attest to that. Mine took 14 months. I filled Feb 10,1012 and got NOA2 April 30,2013. No amount of calling and letter writing help. After a while, i gave up and never even bother to check on them again until one day i open my email and boom, that the approval email. It was like winning a lottery. I know how frustrating this is for you espeacilay that you are from the UK where these things take 1-2 months to get complete. In the US, its a totally different story. So my friend, spend you time doing something productive because no amount of calling will make the process faster.

Im Glad Stevie B gets what im saying!

Oh i can see how things were inthe past and i know things have got better, however not for everyone.

I'm not sure you're seeing what others are Maven, in August of last year all I-130petitions started getting sent to the NBC as Vermont was packed out with applications. Most were processed at the NBC and as you can see from the link below 85% of Jan 2013 petitions have been processed, most at NBC itself in a lot less time than 5 months. In fact, again looking at the link below, you'll see at least 50% of Feb 2013, a few from March 2013 and even a few from April 2013 have also been processed. For some reason a few petitions got sent out to regional office that have not in the past and do not currently process I-130 petitions.

http://www.visajourn...tion=3&sortby=1

In the Washington DC transfers thread, there hasn't been once singe person had their petition approved since NBC started sending them there in August of last year, thereby it looks like DC haven't even started processing any petitions that they received yet!

This can be clearly seen by the chart below, in August last year receipts and pendings went through the roof, however completeds stayed pretty much the same.

http://dashboard.usc...=26&charttype=1

As others have said, that's not acceptable!

I understand that but they haven't started working on the petitions yet from Aug 2012! if that's the case then ours will be approx 11 months, THATS not acceptable!

We just had an e mail from the senator we wrote to in DC to find out what the situation was on our I-130, they sent us the following info which they received from the Washington DC USCIS.

is there anything else we can do to hurry this along ?

---------

Following you will find the response from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to my inquiry on your behalf.  I hope that the information provided will be helpful and responsive to your specific concerns.

USCIS officials write "Thank you for your May 21, 2013 inquiry on behalf of your constituent, regarding her pending Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. USCIS records show that Form I-130 was filed January 2013 and it remains pending at this time. Due to lack of resources, the current processing time for I-130s is 6 to 12 months. We will notify the constituent as soon as possible if any further information is needed, or when a decision has been made."

My staff and I stand ready to be of assistance to you in any other matter that is of concern to you.  Thank you.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNOA 1 recieved, how long will the NOA2 to be received and how long is the process of CR1

the uscis site is misleading .. since august stand alone 130's are routed to your local office 99% of the time.. then approval depends on volume  at that office.. Washington dc for example is running 6-8 months.. mine was less than three.. yours will be around 4 if you go to the SF office which is highly probable

DC is 6 to 12 months:(

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsCASE CANNOT FOUND IN USCIS WEBSITE

**** duplicate thread without replies removed - please only start one thread per topic ***

My case did not show up on the USCIS website for 2 months and for others it has taken longer.  You service center is NOT California. MSC is the National Benefits Center.  After 2 months it is most likely the the NBC will forward the petition to the local office of the USC to be adjudicated.  If the USC does not have a US address they may adjudicate it themselves.  The normal wait time for a petition is 6 months.

As above, i'm 6 months in and mine hasn't shown up online, mines at the Washington DC (Fairfax VA) local office  where the wait time for I 130 adjudication is 6 to 12 months.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNew I-864 version

Hi everyone
When you're talking abt the new I864,do you mean the I864EZ? Or it's a different set of form?

We're still waiting for our IIN number but we have the I864 filled up and ready to send. Just want to make sure when we do send it, it's the right one!

Our nOA2 was May 3rd but we got delayed coz somehow they misplaced/lost our packet so we had to put in a request. Luckily it's been found but it put us wayyy behind!

Google i864 and click on the first link, then download the form an compare it to what you have. the expiration date on the top right hand corner of the current one should read 3/31/2015

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNew I-864 version

I just got off the phone with the NVC.  I want to ranting33va.gif and crying.gifbut it would be a futile waste of energy and time.

AOS forms are still on hold until their "systems are updated" and instructions have been provided for their processing.   I asked about sending the old form.  They said not to send in another if one is already there and everyone is going to have to use the new forms so it is better to use the new form.   I expressed that it didn't feel better right now with there being an additional wait on an already long waiting process. But what exactly can we do?  Exactly.  ClockWatch2.gif

I did see a revised requirements for the new I-864 on the Dept of State website issued May 23, 2013.  Hopefully we are closer to the NVC being ready for the new forms...

Where is the 23rd May revision on the Dept of State website ? ive looked all over for it and what does it say ?

thanks

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAny Washington DC field office I-130 transfers?

Hey all. I want to write my senators in Virginia about this nonsense to a) check on my case and b) request a solution to the backlog at the DC office. Can someone post a sample letter and I can change it around to fit our situation? I'm hoping that our senators in Virginia could do something about the backlog since the DC office is technically in Fairfax, VA. Maybe I'm too hopeful but I'll try anything. My husband and I do not want to spend our 1 year anniversary apart and at this rate I have a feeling we will sad.png

The senator you need to write to is Senator Mark Warner, just fill out the webform on his site here:

http://www.warner.se...FederalAgencies

You will get an automated reply asking you to send a letter and sign a couple of forms they will send which gives them permission to look at your case and act for you, this HAS to be done and they wont do anything until you sign and return the letters.

Just put your case number details, your filing date, express your concern and wait.

Oh my! we haven't filed yet (but will within next week or two) and my husband (USC) who now lives in DC Metro Area might be moving to Philly soon.

We were wondering, if it indeed happens, should we wait with filing until he moves?

Or file now and then update his address online?

Please advise smile.png

Thanks!

If it were me, i'd wait until you move to Phily, you can see the charts here for DC and Philly.

Philly have slightly less to process (about 1000) and look to be processing more (sometimes nearly double) per month than DC

Philly:

DC:

Oh God....  I knew DC Office takes a long time, but didn't think that would be 12 months... I cried my eyes out today sad.png

My husband and I were just married last week and we will be filing our petition as soon as we get our marriage certificate. DC will be our field office. Dammit sad.png

This is so frustrating! Can't anything be done? Looks like they should stop transferring I-130s to DC! And it's getting more and more swamped day by day.

I can't believe it sad.png(((((((((((

Get your USC to move to a state where the petitions are not taking as long is my only suggestion, not very practical i know.

I called immigration a few weeks ago and was passed to a level 2 operator who said there were notes in the computer that my file was recently worked on Sept. 11 which would be the i-130 I filed in March of this year.  Now, on the website it says they are working on cases of October of last year?!!!

PLEASE SOMEBODY tell me that they have gotten approved this year and submitted this year.  This has put so much strain on our relationship and caused so many fights.  I don't want to wait anymore.

Why are you fighting ? surely you have to question if you are doing the right thing if you are fighting about being together  ? it neither of yours faults so what are you fighting about ?
