Has anyone tried to email cisombudsman.publicaffairs@dhs.gov? I am thinking about email this address to inquire about Vermont Processing Center why it puts priority on K1 and California puts priority on IR petition. Would it help if many people emailed to complain about Vermont?

Might help the way they handle future cases, i wouldnt hold my breath about current ones.

I am very dissapointed that each service center has this much discretion on how they prioritize applications.

At least we dont have false pretenses now.

I talked to Vermont today, to add some salt to the wound. I was told that I-130's has the least priority there. How about them apples?

Did they say why K1 has priority over I-130's?

They didnt give me any explanations, and she was acting like, its okay for us to wait 10 months, telling me that some cases last up to 5 years....
yikes

How much more can we take mentally???, there is a breaking point. I feel like its all hopeless. Hopeless.

I kinda told her the same thing, she said "I am sorry, I really feel sorry for you" , "But there is nothing I can do"

Thanks........

Medical reason

I knew they would deny me, if they denied people with deaths in their families, you know that the reason to expedite must be grand. Something like a corporation CEO's son is out of money or something like that.

For whatever lame reason, K1s get the quickest turnaround. It makes no sense in terms of social engineering. Existing families are kept apart but people who aren't yet married can start a new life together sooner but can't work or leave the country for a while. (We'll keep you dependent on your USC spouse and keep you hostage!)

In any case, my entire point was to state that on the IR/CR board, we are often mixing apples and oranges (K3s and IR1/CR1s) when they're not the same, they only share one piece of paper.

Once the 129F is received, it would make no sense to me to work on each application independently -- IOW, if you grab the 130 you should also grab the 129F and complete them concurrently. That way you are not moving applications through the queue but you are moving APPLICANTS through. The number of pieces of paper and the number of times you touch each piece of paper only indicates inefficiency in the process.

Did you just try to put such words as "Making Sense" "Social Engineering" and "USCIS" In the same paragraph. Come on you know better than that smile.gif

Im going to Brazil on June 11th, its only for 1 week though, crying.gif but if things dont go any faster she will insist I move there, she refuses to wait 1 year or a year and a 1/2 to start our life together. I cant blame her at all, I dont want to have to wait so long either, I like it here and I really dont want to live there but if it keeps my marriage together then I will. No one wants to spend years apart from their family and I am sorry for those on this forum that have had to. The worst thing is I cant say well if we wait a bit longer you will have your interview and you will be here, the only thing I can say to her is what USCIS tells me, which pretty much means sometime in early 2009 Jan or Feb she will have her interview. When we first started this we were under the impression that it would be about 6-9 months now its turning into 9-18 months. I feel as if i lied to her, made her think things that were not true, maybe she even thinks that way. Her whole family thinks that I dont want her here because they always tell her that things shouldnt take this long , so and so did it an it only took them 6 months. Heck one of her cousins filed their application in Oct and they already had their interview date at the start of April but changed it because they had to wait for something or other. Its just so frustrating that Aug-Nov filers are the ones that have to go through this hell.

I feel your pain bro. Hopefully our voice will be heard. Maybe Karma will come in to play? Who knows, all I know is without a little adversity good things just dont happen.

Note To Floodgates:

This is your que!

After careful consideration USCIS has decided not only to close the floodgates but to also lock them and keep the guarded at all times. This decision came after they realized that people would actually be happy with something the government did. Upon realizing this they came up with an immediate plan to keep as many people as they can miserable. The opening of the floodgates is now scheduled for some after celebrating Americas 3000th year as a country.

can someone make a template so we can plug our names in that way I'll get some of my friends to do one

oooh.. good idea
any takers?

I can start it and then we can change/add/delete to it.

ok:
Dear....... Thank you for your service to this nation and its citizens. Your work has not gone unnoticed and for your concerns I am thankful or something nice here...haha. As one of such said citizens, I have a serious concern.
My name is __________. I filed a I-130 petition with the Vermont Service Center on __________.
That was 205 days ago.Today, May 21, the USCIS processing times were updated (with a May 15 date) and the I-130 petition for spouse, child under 21, and parent remains unchanged with a date of July 30, 2007.
This is the third month the Vermont Service Center states they are processing I-130s filed on or before July 30, 2007. The month before that they were in August and then on ________ does anyone have this date? the processing time for this petition went backwards.
Can NOTHING be done??
I miss my husband. Families are being ignored. I wake up everyday hoping that it will be my turn. I serve my community. I love my country, yet there seems to be no tangeable hope for me to be with my husband. I am not even asking for special treatment. I just do not understand why there is NO accountability in this department. Where are the checks and balances? Where is the accountability that this SERVICE center has to the U.S. Citizens? How is it that a Service Center can do no progressive work on a particular petition for months and noone speaks on our (the citizens and permenant residents) behalf?
Fiancee Visas (K-1 and K-2 Visas filed by the I-129F petitions) are into a November processing date at Vermont.Special work Visa's are being processed almost immediately after petition. Those of us separated from our husbands, wives, parents, and children..we are the ones getting
lost in the shuffle. Why the discrimination? I feel that you, as our liason between this service, you may have some answers.
We teach our kids that we have a government for the people by the people and all I can think is that when I call my the appropriate people to as for help that I am seen as a nuisance, or in some cases, not even intelligent.
I have heard numerous times about the backlog and the amount of unexpected petitions received before the fee hike that took place in July 2007. Why is this still an acceptable answer? As long as the Vermont Service Center leaves their processing date at a standstill we are told nothing can be done because we are "within processing times." Is this the representation of our government and it's services that you want your citizens to see and be treated with?

thats all I can write because I am getting angry. hahah
this is a really long "template" so please edit and work with as necessary and hopefully we can get one together by tomorrow evening.

Thanks, I'll send some these out asap smile.gif
