K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	quite upsetting	My check was cashed may 16 but I have not seen any No1 yet. I called and they wrote up an "inquiry" which had a target date of 8 weeks to get back to me. You should call the Cust Srv center and explain that your check has been cashed and you need your case number. Patiente is a virtue, that this process will definitely instill in you. If your check has been cashed, then your NOA1 should be on the way...once your check is cashed it means they've logged your petition and it has been "received" by them. It does seem strange that your check has been cashed on May 18th and you've still not received the NOA1, but that's USCIS for you. There are several here on this board that never received NOA1, and were still approved like the rest of us. You might try searching the threads...and contacting one of them for more advice. The back of the check was not readable so I cannot even go on line to see if my case is posted. I called 1 800 375 5283 number for help they took my info and said they would get back to me in 8 weeks I called a second time to see if I could just get my case number but was told to wait for their 8 wk inquiry. If something happened to my paper work that would set my k-1 back three months by the time I would find out. Anyone know of another phone number I might call to at least find out if I have a case number? It seems crazy to now wait another 6 weeks to simply find out if my case is lost or actually in-work. Some people never got a NOA-1 , mine did not come for over two months. The date on the website when I log-in lists the day they cash my check, 5/17 the date of my letter was 08/08 on my letter is a place for a "priority date" which lists 05/14 which would be not the day they cashed the check but maybe the postal date when it arrived. Philippines	Wedding Gown Cost	Hi. I don't know if this is the correct thread but I want to ask the Filipina women about their wedding gowns. How much did yours cost? I'm planning to have one made at my hometown by my mom's friend who's a famous designer for wedding gowns. She really makes beautiful gowns. My mom was told that her brand new gowns would cost at least 22,800 pesos and would be more depending on the design. We will be given discounts though but I'm still thinking. I want to be practical and at the same time have a gorgeous gown and I'm very choosy with clothes. I don't want to wear second-hands though. Comments? I was told that I can have the varicella shot here in the Phils by my private doctor or in Us, but since I'm still in the Phils., I'll have it done here. Also for TD shot, it's not available here, so we'll have it done in US. Philippines	medical at st lukes	Hi, I was afraid of needles too but I conquered my fear. It's mind over matter. I didn't think about shots before I had the medical and when I was already there waiting for my shots and had people in front of me having their shots, I didn't look at them. When it was my turn, I looked away so I wont see the needles lol. I learned it wasn't painful after all! I had 2 shots: MMR and varicella (because I didnt have chickenpox yet) and blood test. He suggested I bring as many as I want especially my clothes. D would be bringing 2 big luggages and 1 carry-on in coming here so I will have space for my things on his other luggages since he'll only bring few things. Now, would it be ok if I just buy 2 balikbayan boxes instead of 2 big luggages? I just want to be practical coz boxes cost less than luggages. Anyway, anyone here who brought 2 big boxes with them? J knows somebody else who also recently got approved, and that person told her that it "was not good" to use the Visa with less than a month left to go before its expiry. I tend to agree with your answers, but I just wanted to hear it from somebody else than me! Regarding AP, she wouldn't be traveling back to the RP to see this...this is before she comes to the States, so AP wouldn't apply in this case. We'd just be potentially shaving things a little close in terms of the visa validity dates, and we just wanted to hear from someone else other than ourselves (haha) who could shed light on this and help us out.
