I don't think it matters how many times you reschedule. If you have paid the interview fee, you should be able to schedule until you can have the interview. It's been a long journey and I have to wait for another 3 weeks! I guess 3 weeks will come fast very soon I just wonder. Do you guys think should I schedule my interview date already or should I just wait till my Medical results on hand? I just hope for less disappointment THanks and regards to everyone! If you are confident that the results will be back in 3 weeks, you could go ahead and schedule the interview now, it will probably be at least 4 weeks until the interview date...maybe even longer. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	G-325A address/employment questions	Hello, Well, can she get mail at the boarding house? Also, you say she will stay there for only one more semester. If she moves in one semester (I am assuming by the end of this calendar year) you would probably need to file a change of address before the petition process is over. Does she visit regularly her HOME address? If so, this could be considered her address and you could put this address down, that way you would not have to do a change of address form later in the process. When I filed my petition I put down my fiance's home address even though he lives for 24 days of the month at his place of employment in a different part of the country. Your fiancee's main occupation has been as a college student, so I would put this down on the biographic information. Best wishes! I think she could get mail at her boarding house, but all that I've sent, I send to her home address. And yes, she goes home on weekends when she is able to. She has lived in a boarding house for the past 5 years near her campus. On the G-325A form, does she need to list her boarding house as her residence or her home address? Here's an example of how the image looks. The image from the bottom of the black screen to the bottom of the image is exactly 2 inches. I am new here (also K1 , and 5 months in the wait) but with plenty of first hand experience with immigration (as I am naturalized myself -on my own- and helping my sister -now with GC-). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Am I Screwed?	hehe, welcome to the philippines. What a fun time. Yes, just bring the G-325a, and DS-130 to the interview. They may do further processing or the counselor may just makes notes on it, and go on. this is nothing unusual in the philippines. It happens many, many more times then you think. All I can say is be prepared at the interview. Also, ask her the questions the interviewer will ask. Get her ready. Go through a mock 10 minute interview a couple of times. And always remember, be prepared to be shocked during the process if you are with her. Filipinos/Filipinas are brought up with a strict moral code. So what may be said in private, may not always be said in public. Hope things go well for you. Do not worry, the issue you are facing is normal. Thanks for the info!!! DS-130? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Am I Screwed?	It would be very unusual for her mother's name to be relevant in determining whether the petition should be approved or the visa issued. It's also an understandable error, given that the name you provided on the G-325A is the same as the one on your fiancee's original birth certificate. The only way I could see this being an issue at all is if her mother had a nefarious past history with US immigration in her REAL name, or a relative who can be connected to your fiancee through her mother's real name had a similarly sour history with US immigration, and either USCIS or the consulate believed you were trying to hide this fact. You can submit a revised G-325A at the interview. Bring both birth certificates to show the reason for the change. I really think it's a non-issue. I really can't imagine them saying "Your mothers name is really Rebecca and not Becky? Well, that changes everything!". Many thanks Jim!!! I'm pretty sure there is nothing like that in her past. The name used was her nickname and not real name...I think it was partly due to "shame" because they were not married when she had her child. Thanks again Jim!!!	?? I made multiple mistakes on my G325 and just corrected it and made a note of it at the interview good luck Thanks for the input! What is the DS-230 for? It doesn't look like this a form that is needed for the Manila consulate...would it be accepted? Is there any "Corrections" form that can be filled that would be accepted? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Am I Screwed?	Here's the deal... On my fiancee's G-325A I put her mother's nickname as her name, as this is what i was told was her name. This is what was on her original birth certificate. Her mother's parents were the ones who gave this info when she was born because her mother was sick after giving birth...and also my fiancee's parents were not married at the time. (I can give more of the story if needed.) I did not think to ask her "are you sure this is her real name" before submitting and didn't know it would be an issue. After submitting the I-129F we found out that the bc issue may be a problem and had it changed to reflect the correct name and spelling of the names on it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	urgent help! wrong nationality listed	I have been calling to schedule an interview for my fiance since April and they told me it´s not in the system. Now I look at the website and there is his case number and it says the packet was sent April 8th! How can this be if I have been calling them since April? And here´s the kicker, they have his nationality down as Dominican Republic and he is Ecuadorian! Where was this mistake made and how can I correct it and how much will it delay my case? I really can´t believe this is happening, what do I do? I would call USCIS and the embassy in Ecuador to see if that info is correct and explain the situation. When you filled out the forms was his correct nationality listed? Maybe they screwed up at the USCIS or embassy. They are probably closed today, but I would get on it first thing in the morning. I want to send out an inquiry to the NVC to follow up with them to see if they have received my NOA2 and if I can obtain my case number so that I may follow up with the Manila consulate when necessary. I went to the NVC site, and it states to send and inquiry you have to put your case number. To my knowledge, I don't have a case number. Advice anybody? Samples? Help?! According to your timeline, you got your NOA2 almost a month ago. I would say Manila has had it for some time. The NVC had our package 5 days after we got the approval e-mail and the consulate got it about 5 days after that. We got our NVC letter approximately 1 month after the approval e-mail. You can call the NVC and ask them what your case number is...you will need your NOA1 receipt number. (603) 334-0700 Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM (EST). Like the other poster said, there's not a required form of dress...you do want to dress appropriately though. What I have read is that you want to go like you are going to interview for a job. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Interview question	I got the visa! And, just for future reference: the I-134 DOES NOT have to have any original signatures or anything of that nature. I asked if them being copies was a problem, and the person at the window looked at me like I was crazy and shook his head. I don't know if this is a Brazil thing or if it applies to every country but they really didn't care that those were copies. My interview lasted about 10 minutes and I was asked 7 questions (he paused a lot to type stuff). The consul was really nice! It's true what people say; the wait is the worst part. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Interview question	There is no way I have enough time to get the original I-134 now - it's on the way to me, it has been for weeks. That package never arrived. There's no time to do another one now, either. I leave for Rio tomorrow morning, my interview is on Tuesday morning, and even overnight mail takes 3 days to arrive here. Oh man how can I NOT freak out about this? What happens if they don't accept the copies? Will they reschedule? Don't go into the interview looking worried or stressed. At this point there is nothing you can do about any missing or incorrect documents. Just go in confident and relaxed...if they happen to need further documents, they will ask for it.
