There is a lot of information about the interviews in Moscow in the Russia Regional section in the lower part of the forum. There is also a sticky that covers some of the questions about the Moscow embassy. I am sure you will find that to be a good spot to get your questions answered and to share your experiences.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionMy Medical Exam Experience in Moscow!
So even before we had approval from USCIS i recieved a Yellow dream envalope lol
Yes its been so long..and there is a date for an interview:)))I have mine on 17th of august in Moscow.
So one of the papers was a list of Panel Physicians where i should have done my medical examination. There were 4 cliniques where actually i could do my exam.I choosed International Organisation for Migration(IOM) at
2nd Zvenigorodksya 12,1st entrance,Metro:1905Goda.The test cost me 80USD,even though the paper from embassy says its gonna be 85:)))
I also did the vaccinations there for another 30usd.they charge 30usd no matter how many of them needed, depends on your age.
So all together 110USD.
They ask to bring 2 pictures 3X4cm sized, travel passport and an extract from your medical history with the list of vaccinations you have recieved,it also says that the document must include a doctor"s signature and a stamp.
Actually for K1 they say you dont need vaccinations for sure but i still did it in case..and then i would need it anyway for adjustment of a status later. Also you will be asked for a number of your case which is on the invitation paper for the interview!do not forget this it is very important!

I was very worried because My family was moving a lot from one place to another and my medical history was lost! But its not a big deal! They just gave me 2 injections at once and my arm is still sore lol

So that is not a big deal with vaccination:)

At this centre you need to make your appointment in advance on the phone (495)797-8723,i did it one day before:)

All went very smoothly but still i had some surprise when i went for my check- they do not do the test at same place where they make you an appointement. I had to fill out 2 forms(you will need to know dates when you moved to russia if such has happened and you were not born in russia) they gave me and after i been sent with huge envalope to the other metro station "Planernaya"to the Soviet clinique lol...It is located just behind a metro, which is very convinient !So people do not panic! You will be sent on the 4th floor where some lady will take your papers and send you for a blood test. They check for HIV and sifilis-not sure about word in english.
Then they send you in a long que for chest X-ray!lady sounds in a que very strickt but when you actually got to go for it she is very sweet:)
after that i been sent to some doctor to listen to me he made me undress top:)))not that i was ashamed..loljust funny:)))
and thats all it!I was very curious of my medical results but they told me envalope should be sealed for the interview,so i asked myself doctor if all was fine.
The same day at 5 pm i was able to pick up results again at first place at "1905goda".They recieve documents and put in envelope and seal it so the stamp is on it.I asked that lady again if all tests are fine and she said yes.
so all together is a bit stressful, but not painful..Haha i am lying my arm is still sore after 4 days of vaccination..lol
So now i have envalope, huge x-ray and vaccination paper.I been told that x-ray will be needed on the board but not at the interview:)still thinking to take it with me though:)what you think?

So that was it!all my story about medical examination!
Will appreciate if you have some tips for my interview coming up on 17th of August!and ready to answer all possible questions about process i already went through:)

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 supporting documents, Germany
I had my interview on 17th in Moscow I had with me also form 864,but they never took it.

all they need is:
+ I-134 signed and notorized
+ letter of employer on company letter head with starting date, position, hourly payment, amount hours worked and that its full time
+ 2 most recent pay stubs
+ 2 last tax returns (no original, just the e-file)-tax returns from 2006,i had with me 2005 and 2004 w2 and taxt transcrips they never took it either
+ print out of his savings plan

All they need is to see you have support and you will not be on a social support.
You can check my post about interview I wrote all in details.
By the way dont forget about the evidence.Sometimes they dont look at it,but in my case they looked at all of it.So I would suggest better have all of it!

Good luck!
KotenochekFemaleRussia2007-08-26 06:46:00
US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionStatement from employer for I-134
It should say the date when it was issued,How long You have been working for and how much money you made in last year,or monthly wage.
will be also great if it says something like-he is a stable employer and very valuable for the company.
Will be better if it is signed by boss and stamped or notarized.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWHEN TO APPLY???
Dear All,

I have a question regarding filing timing.
On my interview, where i received first green card i was told to apply for 2nd one at least 9 month prior the expiration date, due to their overload.
However USCIS page says i must apply within period of last 90 days before my first green card expires.
My question is which one is the right way to do? And how long does the whole process take?

thank you

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresShould I hire a lawyer to do the paperwork?

I am getting ready for my trip to the philipines. If everything goes well with the woman that I am falling in love with, should I try to do the 129-f application myself or hire a attorney? What does the majority of the people here do? It doesn't look that hard to do except for mounds of paper work but if it's better to get a attorney then this is something I have to start thinking about. How much does a attorney usually charge for something like this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks,
martinbr

No matter whether you do it with a lawyer or your own,you should know that you are the one that is responsible for the process and the only way to controle is to learn all in details.
anyway make sure her name is not Karyn duff and she is not from Maryland.thats a big time scam bag!

hi, i am a newbie here. my fiance and i are still going to start the application for fiance visa petition. this site is really a great help. i am learning so much in this site. i have a question though, our relationship started april 2007, we personally met in july 2007 when he came to the Phils., then we decided to get married in the US. Do you think the short period of time that we have known each other would be an issue at the interview? we do not have a lot of photos but we have receipts of the places we went to. pls help! thanks!

We were chatting with my fiancee in sept .in december he came to visit and applied for k1 i even did not know it was a fiancee visa lol

you still have time while process to visit her more it will help for the interview.alex visited me 4 times.

Why One does not speak English has to do with anything for being denied visa? That's so stupid excuse. Plus there are 2 people there: one translator and one CO, the translator can translate for your fiancee' and also the CO can understand your fiancee' native language also.

Its about if you understand each other.do you speak her language?sorry for the news..

Sen has passed her interview and now is able to relax, enjoy her vacation, and start packing! I purchased a one-way ticket for Sen many weeks ago, and because she has passed her interview and because she has permission to pick up her Visa in person within 2 days, the flight and ticket I sent her via email will be great! Sure feels good when you can plan ahead and not have to change everything all the time! If you are a citizen of the USA and want to buy a ticket for your Philippine fiance, you can do so online with no problems. I did, it was smooth, and good price! good.gif

congrats!!!Good luck with adjustment to the new country!!!

Bring all evidence of relationship with you, sometimes they dont even look at it,in my case they did looked at it...even at the picture of our house...
as long as she has affidavit of support notarized and all other papers ready, its going to be fine.Make sure she learns by heart adress where she is going to live..and in case if you had previous marriage she should carry divorce papers and explanation shy did you devorce..thats about it.she should be calm and honest..More honest she is faster it goes..good luck!

you could do hawai instead its beautiful an tropical too...
We wanted to marry in costa rica too,but ended up just getting marrie din court here in Ca ,we plan our actual ceremon in summer now:)so thats what you could do.she could come here marry in court for papers, then wait green card and after half a year or so have a wedding wherever you want...
Or another option have first ceremony in costa rica and then come to Usa but never mention to the officers at the airport you been married..just do it for ceremony not officially:)

good luck and have a great wedding1

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhat if my fiance doesn't know something?
I went through interview yesterday and they did not care that stuff at all.they just asked what is my profession and job now.I dont think they check things like that. All they want to see is the person does some smart job, they want new citizens to be educated..when i said i am a lawyer he loved it..So i dont think it might be a problem that you dont remember previous jobs..someone commented about police record.True i also advice to get it if needed from other countries, because it takes some time..

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusSurname question
It really depends on where you think you'll be spending most of your time. My husband and I plan to live in the U.S. (and possibly Europe someday in the future), so I decided to take his surname without the a. I could, of course, take the a, but for me it's not worth it to go through the hassle of explaining millions and millions of times why our last names are different but the same. If we planned to live in Russia, I would definitely take the a. However, I think that whenever we go to Russia to visit, I could add the a on for anything except official documents. For example, obviously my visa will not have my name spelled with an a, but if I open a discount card at a store or sign up for a class or something like that, I could always add the a on there.

they're going to ask him a few rote questions about the visa he's traveling on

What types of questions might these be? Just, "What is the purpose of your visit?" and "What type of visa do you have?" ? Anything else?

Thanks guys, I appreciate your help. And yes, I do realize that there's really nothing to worry about. For his self-confidence though, I'd like to give him a short list of possible questions, if anyone remembers what they are.
