Western Union should be ok...some guys get over protected over money..come on you should risk if you want to have a woman..what about america, before yo u get laid you would have to take her our for a dinner, make sure you are not a looser and probably you suppose to own a house,at least here in California. So big deal you send her some money...when man gives everything upfront and woman is not dork enaugh to appreciate it more likely she will change her mind, even if she planned scam from start...

What? unsure.gif

well you have to pay for everything..Nothing is free-if you have not figured that out yet:)))
If you asking about prostitution-no i am against it:)))
I am just saying,If you had a girl here, you would have to buy her boobs, and louis vuitton purse, and take her out etc etc...and there is no guarantee she would stay with you after all ..so why you surprised if russian girl leaves?Maybe its not that she scammed you..maybe guy is gross? We all read here stories, but dont really see each other:)))
Yes there are scammers out there in russia and anywhere else..what i am trying to say is ok to provide for woman you love or care about...

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusRussian city you would most like to visit?
Ok I love Moscow, even though its expensive..Hey I grew up there...
If i was a foreigner i would go to ST.Petersburg, since people there are nicer, and lets face it-way cheaper than Moscow...
I would also go to Golden Ring of Russia which is Vladimir,Suzdal...Its an old capital of Russia,Very beautiful churches and of course simple Russian people.
If you are looking for summer vacation than Sochi, but its pretty expensive too if you are looking for a quality trip:)

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusRussian traditional condenced milk
Personally, I'd rather be fat than give up all those scrumptious treats. But, I'd be lying if I said I'd rather have a fat girlfriend/wife who likes to enjoy her food as opposed to a skinny girlfriend/wife that's always conscious of it. It would be nice if there was a middle ground.... but there's not. It's either a lifestyle you live or you don't. A girl who enjoys her food gets fatter and fatter. A girl who constantly watches her weight and what she eats doesn't.... until she starts enjoying her food!
[/quote]

after a while of watching your weight like does your beautiful wife, you get used to it and learn to cook yummy, but healthy...My husband and I are both working out all the time, eating bunch of brown rice, never eating fast food...Pizza happens once in 2-3- months...
we try to cook healthy and yummy..Like katleti, but with non fat meat, brown rice cooked with grilled vegies, its very good the way my husband cooks,salmon...soup,borsh,I also cook several georgian meals, which are super healthy, but very very yum...
In evenings we eatg more stuff like tomatoes or meat-which wont damage your figure, inless you cooked in on litre of oil:)-we grill it mostly...
In real we pretty much eat everything, even macaronies, but in a small portions and not every day...just try to eat more meat-proteins..and no milk products..Milk is the number one that ruins your body and skin...

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusHouse prices in Russia
My mum recently invested in a building house right near Moscow, its 20min on a bus from metro yugo-zapadnaya..
she paid 6 months ago around 130 000 the promise was to move in in december of 2008,but it looks like she has to wait now till september 2009..annoying huh?in contract they do not mention any date...and guess what all plans like that do so..Otherwise that flat built would be like 200 000at least and she would not be able to afford it.
Anyway she says since 6 months prices went up more..Now they are around 180k before they are even built..and thats not a Moscow!!!!
So i guess in a future we will be able to sell her flat there and buy some house here in Northern CA...
I think its wrong time to invest too,but looks like i am wrong since prices are still going up....

Hi to Everyone:)

So we decided to try to bring my Mom for winter 2 week holidays..she is a teacher and has a very good stable job in Moscow that can provide guaranteed papers that she would be back, aslo she owns a flat and has some cash,so i think we do have a chance.
My question is,is there any type of visitors visa?Or what kind of visa are we supposed to apply for?

It depends ona price of a ticket normally with them..even in Moscow more expensive it is more options yo have for exchange and open dates...and they also have a ticket non-refundable that is the cheapest option...

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusAdjusting to Life in USA
I guess its a typicsl story for russian ladies that come here..My case similar,I was a lawyer in Moscow had a great job, travelled half the world...and now here... unsure.gif
We did not know that you are suppose to apply for ssn before wedding so we screwed there and had to wait for my work permit forever...I could not apply for driving license because of same problem with social number..
Its very depressing and does not matter that we own a house in a wine countryCA,that my husband is the best in the world and does whatever he can..
It is just a very hard transition.
Mentality is a lot too...girls look weird at you because dahh you are way better looking than they are...Men winking right in front of my husband, which i hardly try to ignore, before my husband rams their faces...
I had to sit at home nearly a year and i am going nuts...Its just too much for an intelligent Russian woman to stay home without socializing and activities...
My advice is stop controling her and let her make her own choices, such as choosing driver instructor or making an appointment for dentist visit..by having such conversations on phone she will feel more secure...Plus socialize with other couples and people as much as you can...Only seeing other people she will appreciate husband more and remember why she came here...
Sign her up for gym-it will make her feel good about herself.give her bunch of compliments!-its not american culture but russian girls are used to get it from everyone in russia, including work...so now when she stays home full time she will feel insecure, even if she is a top model...
So i guess the only good thing about it is that you get to really test each others patience, and nothing will be able to break your relationship if you survuve this:))) innocent.gif

It took quite a while before I was comfortable riding with my wife. I still prefer to drive if we're together, but at least now I'm not scared when she's behind the wheel. You're lucky you're getting compliments. You must be doing a great job. We had the "next step is the big D" fights while going through the driver training phase.

I took hours with an instructor first, but they are125 baks per 2 hours...:(so the rest my husband had to do..We had some argments over it too, because he is not used to sit in a pasanger sit and thinks i am gonna hit somebody and screams and it scares me..But i still have to hold wheel so we dont crush:))But its getting better.Friday on my birthday we are even planning to go to the city of SF which is an hour drive from here and i am gooing to be the driver:))Yay!

So finally i had my Interview today!
Interview was sheduled for 9 am..even though we live 45 min from the city,we left home at 6.45 and it paid off..we had to wait in a major traffic...so we made to the city around 8.20 and then spent another 30minutes looking for a parking spot, since all parking around costs around 40baks!!!so my advice leave home way earlier!
We had to go on a 3rd floor where they took my fingerprints took my picture and i was told to wait..In about 20minutes at 9.20 i was invited to follow lady on a 2nd floor .she asked if we would be saying truth and we both said yes..
she was serious...and asked to show her our id"s my social,My husbands taxes for last year and w2s...But once we showed id she said she does not need his taxes that our file is pretty good...
then she suddenly changed and became very very sweet:))she asked how we met..My husband-(us citizen) had to answer, she also asked who i share house with,I answered that we live alone and own a house..she asked where and when we got married..the rest was more friendly conversation than an interview..she did not ask for any extra papers, even though we brough nearly a whole suitcase of prove:)))
Then i asked if she wanted to see pics, and it was more curiosity than interview part:)she complimented my wedding gown:)She was very sweet Lady..I t all went pretty smooth and we were told our file is approved and i will be getting my card within couple weeks.
I was told card will work for 3 years, but we have to apply for another card 90days prior to expiration date..she also said after removing conditions i can apply for a citizenship.VEry excited this process is over for now..Next stop is my behind- the- wheel test on december 9th:)Wish me a luck:))lol

Fill out a FAFSA and you should be able to get Stafford loans and Federal Grad Plus loans. Unless you can find a decent job you might as well as borrow the money in a slow economy, finish your schooling and then pay it back with an attorney salary.

We already have too many loans, house, cars, boat...I do not want any more loans till we get rid of at least one of what we already have smile.gif))
Especially at this economy...
I would love to continiue my education of course, but it will take a year or 2 before i can decide whether i am ready for another loan or not..In my culture it is scary to take a loan,i am still getting used to the fact of impermanence...

I remember reading you were a lawyer in Russia. If so, have considered doing the 1 year LLM program at any ABA law school, Golden Gate comes to mind as they always had a lot of "international students". That 1 year LLM in something like US legal studies allows you to sit for the California Bar Exam if you are still interested in that kind of work.

kicking.gif Hi Everybody!!!

I am sharing great news with you Guys!
My Mom got approved for her USA visa!!!The only thing they asked her is when i got married and when i arrived here..so here is our situation:
My Mom is a teacher in a private school in Moscow and makes decent money. She is devorced!!!Recently she bought a flat near Moscow that supposed to be built in 2009..
I sent her invitation excplaning why i can not go to Russia..My husband got it notarized, which was easy to do at his work.I also filled out her form ds-156 i think online and sent her by dhl bar code.
Also attached copy of my husband"s passport-to show he is citizen.I did not have a green card when we sent papers, but we attached our marriage license, and also wrote in invitation my social number and my work authorization card number.she also had few pics of our wedding printed. Also papers from her work and cash to show that she has money:)))and i also gave her my green card number last night.

she got approved and i warned her to ask if she can have 2 year one,so she did and she got it:)))
Now have to get ready for mums visit for Christmas!!!!
so people its ok,you can invite your parents and it is possible to get them come over.Mom also mentioned some other lady that also has a daughter in US and she got approved as well! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif
