Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I got a letter from USCIS	Called "Notice of Requirement to File Joint Petition to Remove the Conditional Basis of an Alien's Permanent Resident Status". Does this mean I have to file NOW? I thought I just needed to file within the 90 day window... he entered the US on 8/04/2012. We're living in different states and I wanted to file later in that window, since by then I'll be living with him. Would that be okay? Or should he file now regardless of living in different states? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 May 2014 Filers	Biometrics early walk in attempt at Des Moines thanks to the geniuses at USCIS scheduling my husband's biometrics appointment in Puerto Rico (our mailing address) instead of our physical address (Des Moines): Total failure. Security guard at ASC was handsdown the most rude federal employee I've ever dealt with. When I attempted to explain the situation (incorrect biometrics location), he said nothing and pointed at the DATE of husband's appointment (June 27th) in the most condescending manner possible. He later told me to call USCIS at their Misinformation Line. Incredible that I can't get a job at USCIS to save my life but an a-hole like that can....   Thankfully, I had also made an Infopass appointment, and so went to talk to the very nice lady there. She said we should change our address with the AR-11 (I did); but I told her that as I still don't have a permanent mailing address in Iowa, I didn't want USCIS sending the very important ROC documents there. I also said that, with my ROC documents, I had enclosed a letter explaining our temporary living situation in Iowa but that our permanent mailing address is in San Juan. She said on the date of his biometrics (27th of June), we could walk in there again and get them done, as the system doesn't allow for early walk-ins in other USCIS offices, only the one you had the appointment to. But, the system allows for the person to get their biometrics done in ANY USCIS office on the day OF their biometrics appointment. So we'll do that. Hopefully they won't screw us over again the day of.    I knew moving would cause USCIS a headache but I'm astounded at how stupidly this has all been done. She is thinking a couple different ideas for a doctorate but one is in Education She was actually thinking of an advanced degree in medicine or nursing, but it may take a lot of going back since she has all "arts" degrees. She has a meeting with a counselor at UVM next week to see what she would have to do to qualify for a Doctorate of Nursing. (New program at UVM) She worked for a medical journal and took some medical classes to help her with her interpretation business and she has a strong interest in the subject. Some med schools will take students who have non-science degrees, as long as they've completed a certain requirements (usually a year of bio, chem, etc). She can look into schools like that. I think the Mayo Clinic did this, but it was a loong time ago when I was looking into med schools so I might be wrong. Or eekee's idea is also great.	AmyWrites	Female	Russia	2011-08-04 10:14:00

I'm in the opposite situation; moved to Russia and trying to become fluent in Russian, but it takes an insane amount of time/work and sometimes it's just frustrating.
