Hello Everyone, Happy Monday :)

So i have a few questions. My Biometric was done on 5/28 in Chicago and since then there is no further progress on my case.

1- When i can expect to receive my interview letter, any idea like when i will have my interview ?

2- Where will i need to go for my interview? Alone or with my hubby?

Thanks much, Best Regards. S. Umer

Happy Tuesday everyone,

My biometrics has been done today in Chicago. I reached there at 11:55am, my appointment was at 12:00pm. The receptionist asked me to turn off my cell phone, checked my Green Card and gave me a form to fill in with my details like DOB, Weight, Height, hair and eye color etc. I completed and he checked and gave me a number and asked to wait until that number is called upon.

I waited for 5 mins and then I got my turn. I went in, they showed me the computer screen to read and check if all my information is accurate, like my DOB, Address etc. After that they took my finger prints and then a pic :) Later he handed over a guide for Naturalizations Test and said there is a CD also with that book , I asked is that free and he smiled and said YES for you its free :)

how nice :)

That's it.....all in all it took me 15 mins. When I got back to my car it was 12:17pm CT. Thanks everyone for your support and good luck to you all.

Regards, S. Umer

Hi Good morning and Happy Friday :)

I have two questions, please help.

1- I am not getting any txt messages/email from USCIS anymore, except the first email and txt msg i received that says my application had been received. After that I got my biometrics appointment letter but no email/txt messages, so do i need to inform anyone to get this fixed???

2- I am planning to visit Canada (Niagara Falls) with my husband and my 2 years baby, a road trip from Chicago to Canada for 3 nights only. I have my 10 years green card and my Pakistani valid passport. Will that be enough to visit Canada or do i need to apply for a Canadian visa????

Please help. Thanks much.

Best Regards, S. Umer

Hi Good morning, i need an urgent response as i have to send my N-400 application today 05/01, the question i have is..while completing my application, i left the answers blank (didnt write N/A or None) for the questions that were not applicable to me for example If you have ever used other names, so i just left such questions blank...please tell me does it makes any difference or shall i put N/A or None for all irrelevant questions?

I already took a print out of my completed N-400 application, can i update that application with pen without taking a new print out????

Please respond ASAP, i am confused and dont have access to a printer today :(

God Bless and Thanks

S. Umer

If you bought house you don't have lease bill, but rather mortgage statement/bill. If both of your names are on this statement you may include it in your package.

Thanks so much :) Yes i meant the mortgage Statement. God bless you.

US Citizenship General DiscussionGeneral Info on Naturalization

What is your "resident since" date on your greencard? Add 3 years to that, substract 90 days and that is the earliest you can apply.

For Resident since it says 07/31/2010. So when i need to apply for Neutralization? Its through marriage to a US Citizen.

Thanks much

Hi, Could someone let me know how can i expedite my 10 years Green Card process as its almost 6 months now (I submitted my application on May 3rd 2012 and my biometric was done on 06/11/2012).

We are in the process to purchase a house and we applied for a bank loan and they are not going to accept the expired conditional Green card (green card expired on 07/31/2012) with one year extension letter, THEY NEED THE VALID GREEN CARD to process our loan application :( Could someone please help and let me know what to do in this case? Our home clsoing date is Nov 09th and before that our home mortgage must be approved.

what is the USCIS number through which atleast i can call and talk to someone? I know its 0800 number but what option to talk to someone?

Many thanks,
SUMER

Hi All,
Just wanted to update you that I had my Biometrics Appointment today at 1:00pm Central at Chicago, N. Broadway St. It went really smooth and quick. I reached there at 12:40pm and the receptionist asked me for my ID (I gave my driver license) and the appointment letter. Then she asked me to turn off my cell phones and gave me a form to fill in. I filled in the form and she gave me a number to be called. As soon as I sat on the waiting seats, my number was called and it just took less than 10 mins to have my finger printing and picture. I was done even before 1:00pm Central :) They didnt ask for or check my conditional Green Card.
I hope i get my 10 years green card soon, Insha Allah. All the best to all.....Regards, S. Umer
