National Visa Center (Dept of State)	IV Fee Online Payment (a bit too early?)	Just got an updated AVR on our case. "The NVC has received the checklist letter on May23rd, 2008. Please allow 6-8 weeks for review, then you will be notified." I think this is becasue they have actually entered our DS-230 into the system. If it changes tomorrow to the dreaded, "...missing documents or imcomplete..." my guess would be that it is a bogus RFE. I will keep everyone in the loop on our case. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	IV Fee Online Payment (a bit too early?)	My Status went to paid this morning and I called to make sure it was ok to send DS-230. Go the thumbs up by a live operator and off to the post office I went. Sent the DS-230, Express Mail, and the USPS says it will deliver next day by noon. Looks like we are all on a close path through the NVC. Let's stay in touch with any isues (praying there are none, for any of us), and updated timelines. I am hoping we can finish NVC by the end of May and get a June Interview date. My wife told me she is soooooooooooooo ready to get our life started together. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	CASE COMPLETE	Just got off the phone with an operator at the NVC. And although my AVR hasn't changed yet, our case went to "COMPLETE" as of today. The operator read the complete statement to me about interview scheduling, and actually sounded very happy for the news she was giving me. They schedule based on embassy availability in the 2nd week of the month, for the following month. So it is looking real good for a July interview date!!! YES!!! The following is how I put my package together and it sailed right through: Coversheet (w/barcode) I-864 (form) Tax Returns (last 3 years, starting with 2007) Letter from employer (salary / employment dates / standing) Pay Stubs (last 3 pay periods) Best of luck and a speedy NVC process. Ot is about time they truely do something like this in the name of "reuniting families!" I am so happy for you and everyone else who has traveled this part of the process with us over the last month. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	Documents for NVC	I am not sure I can really give you any more information, but here is what we sent in: Original documents from issuing authority -birth cert -marriage cert -3 police certs (w/ translations...not professional, but with notarized statement stating they were acurate) O aho[e others will be able to give you a clear course on the rest of your questions. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	Case almost done	Congrats on making it this far. I would definitely send in those police certificates (w/ translations), they will be looking for them. They don't have to be professional translations, but you must include a notarized statement from the person translating that they are proficient in the language of the documents and English. And that the translation is complete and accurate to the best of their ability. This is what we did and out application sailed right through. Good luck...Peace!!! I also agree with the suspension of logic...LOL, but I am not sure I can continue to handle the disappoint day after day. But becasue of everyone else here waiting, I think I will keep calling daily. I did get through to an operator this morning, and they told me everything was based on embassy capacity, and to call back next week. I am hoping for an early July interview, becasue my wife's b-day is July 19th and we would love to spend it together. I will try the NVC again tonight. I don't think Peru has a page to view scheduled appointments, but I have been able to call down and check to see if they have received anything. I am not sure if that includes appointment dates, or just confirming that they have received the documents from NVC. I feel like I am feeling around in the dark at this point. I can tell you that I really wasn't planning on calling the NVC until tonight when I woke up this morning. But as I was surfing the VJ postings I saw that a member from the Philipines had posted they got their interview. So using what I thought to be logic that alphabetically Peru comes before PI, I called and was given the gift of having our interview scheduled. This doesn't make much logic when "J" comes before "P", and I am sure is just more infuriating, but this how the floodgates started opening this morning.
