Check out our timeline as well...we met 12/09, I visited one time for 2 weeks in 3/10, file the I-129f upon my return to US. We were one of the lucky ones in that our approvals were very fast. We could have done the interview a month earlier but I was budgeting on a longer process. I did nothing but follow the guides on this forum. Jean put together a huge packet of evidence for the interview and all they asked for were a couple of pics. Its best to be prepared with as much as you have and everything should go smoothly.

You are not joking......that is the fastest approval of K1 Visa I have ever viewed on this site. I received my notification of NOA1 by email, April 4.... I can only pray for a fast return and some patience. I realize that it can be a long process. Your case is not the norm. :thumbs:

It would be great to know all couples involved in the K1 filing process on the Gulf Coast (USA).......That would include the following states: Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. The process of filing for K1 Fiancee Visa can be a long and confusing process....It's always great to be able to share experiences and solutions with individuals in the same area..... Thanks. :help:

4 months so far waiting for NOA2 (VSC)

I'm in the same boat (as April Filers), every day looking at the igor list.... The approvals are moving at a faster pace, but it is slower then CSC. There are some April Fliers that have been approved (NOA2) this month...so I'll continued to pray and counting the days......

Thanks for the quick response..... I need response from personal experience.... I already know that we can have the Police Certificate forwarded to Japanese Consulate in the Keppel Center in Cebu Philippines. I am trying to reduce travel time from Cebu and Manila. Presently, we have planned for fiance to travel to Manila for Medical Exam (2 days) and take request for Police Certificate to Japanese Consulate. ( the request form has to be pickup from USA Embassy)....return back to Cebu from Manila.... Fly back to Manila to pickup Police Certificate from Japanese Consulate. Then schedule interview at US Embassy. I hoping to get information from personal experience....Thanks

Police Clearance from Japan

We are waiting on the approval of our NOA2 at this moment.. What is the average wait for a police clearance after request at Japan Embassy? The problem is trying to reduce the amount of travel. Presently we know that she has to fly to manila to get request from Embassy, then wait on arrival of Police Clearance. Then travel for Cebu to Manila for medical exam and interview.....worst case would be 3 round trips from Cebu and Manila..... Thanks for any suggesting in reducing travel. :help:

This 'touching' deal has been interesting as of late. I was 'touched' yesterday, and just looked tonight and was 'touched' again. Do they do this everytime your case is looked at because of a phone call? I am pretty sure today was the day my Senator called, so I was curious about if that is why I'm getting touched more than a cheap hooker.

Well, my senator is calling the California Service Center right now. I told him that getting information from the representatives answering phones is like pulling teeth, but he assures me he can get the information we can not. We'll see, eh?
Fortunately, he's a kind, smooth talking man and my worries of him ticking off officials who can bury my petition are at rest.
I hope.

I hope everyone here is calling their state representatives and getting them to go into action. I have also contacted my congressman and am waiting for a response from him, as well.

I have spent my entire life living with the government. I grew up overseas on military bases, my father worked as a federal agent for over thirty years, my entire family seems seeped in government agencies of one type or another...and I have seen how just a few people can make MAJOR changes.

I've seen laws passed because a small group of people did the right things to get the wheels in motion. We can seriously make a difference...but we all have to pitch in and contact the right 'gears' to make things move the way we want.

We all know that this IMBRA deal is screwing a lot of us over. I believe that all of us wouldn't have had a problem filling out that extra form or getting that background check....IF we had been advised to do so. Well, we weren't and are being held responsible for a government agency's oversight.

Get mad. Do something about it. If you would like help to write a letter or anything of the sort, please let me know and I'll send you mine or even write one for you. We are on this forum to help each other out....so please consider me a resource....as I'm sure many others would make the same offer.

So, is the department of State the level at which processing has been halted or the CSC? What i mean is...could I still go on and be approved at the CSC but then just halted in line at the Department of State?

Argh. I need a nap or something. How about someone just slap me around with a hammer? It'd make more sense and be less painful than all of this, eh?

Too bad I'm not much of a drinker...this would be a perfect time for it. :-)

Surprisingly, no. The woman I spoke to got her manager and they both spoke to me and said they had no knowledge of processing being halted. While I know they may just be 'out of the loop', I believe both were telling me the truth.
By the end of the conversation, they were telling me about their kids and had called several places to find out if anyone knew anything else that could help me out.
It's odd, as I know interviews have been cancelled (even one of my lawyer's other clients had his cancelled), but the service center claims processing hasn't stopped.
Leaves me just as confused as I was at the beginning.
