PhilippinesI invite everyone to share..
i think the question is already answered in your other thread. If you are not comfortable with N/A or " once visa is granted" or "within six month of visa issuance", just type in there your rough estimated date of flying to the USA, let's say October 19, 2008. You will be fine smile.gif dont worry smile.gif

Philippinesworried with online forms
QUOTE (paothao @ Jun 19 2008, 07:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
This form MUST to be printed on one paper, meaning print back to back, in a single page. Enclosed the barcode with this paper. It is easier for the Embassy to find your information as I was told by Consular Officer when I talked to them. Two page is unacceptable because they don't know if the 2nd page is part of the first page, therefore, they need to be in one page. So total pages is 2 pages including the Barcode page. You will find this information on www.immhelp.com

Good luck..

When i had my interview, i submitted my DS forms printed on only one side of each paper...and i had no problems. maybe it depends on the embassy.

Philippinesworried with online forms
You can print them them again and again and again and you will get different codes every time u do it too. the bar codes contain the infos you entered online but it wont be sent to the embassy. The embassy use the barcodes for easy data entry on their side so be sure to print the corrected form with its corresponding barcode page.

Philippinesds-156 question.
you can always fill it out again online and print it again smile.gif no worries smile.gif the data you entered online wont go to your files yet. when u go to the embassy for ur interview, they will take the hard copies of your forms and scan them. that way, it wont be a hassle for them to type all the data by themselves.

i made several mistakes on my forms before, and i just reprinted them again and again..of course you will get different bar codes each time. be sure to print the page with the barcodes.

Definitely that one - NEVER talk back to parents or the elderly.

I told my husband that in pinas our parents dont let us pay rent kahit na dumami pa anak mo at doon ka nakatira sa parents mo. He said that parents here asks their kids to pay rent once they reach 18y.o. to teach them how to be independent. Pero hindi ko ma imagine na sisingilin ng rent anak ko. Naging independent naman ako sa pinas na hindi bumabayad ng rent kay mama eh smile.gif hehehe smile.gif

I am suppose to attend the seminar without my passport but i really need to go home that time, so i just took the seminar the day before my flight to the US. But my friend who i was suppose to go with on that seminar did attend the seminar without passport with no fuss. What documents she brought with her ? i'll ask her again and post it here. smile.gif

PhilippinesCFO Seminar Pre Visa But Without Passport
your wife can have the CFO seminar WITHOUT the PASSPORT. JUst tell them that the passport is at the embassy. Just bring proper Identification documents (and more than one too). She will be given a CFO training certificate after she attended the said seminar BUT she cannot have her passport stamped yet (because she doesnt have her passport yet smile.gif ). She needs to go to the CFO office once she receive her passport. She needs to present her CFO training certificate prior to the stamping (or gluing) of the CFO sticker.
cheers! smile.gif

Philippinesi-693 question
Hello everyone,

i just got the I-693 in the mail from Dr. Arnold in Texas. I checked the copy they gave me and found out that they checked DTaP instead of Tdap. In my DS-3025 and immunization record, it is Tdap. I read that online that Dtap is for children while Tdap is for adults. It's the weekend and i guess the Dr's office is closed. I will call them on monday. In the mean time, has anyone had here had their I-693 transcribed by Dr. Arnold? is it DTap or Tdap that they checked on the form?

I got a couple of questions :

1. What is this PDOS and CFO?
2. Im petitioned for a K3 visa, passed the interview, do I need to have this? It wasnt stated on K3 requirements.
3. Is this really needed before enetering US?

Anyone please advise. Thank you in advance.

Yes..you have to attend the CFO seminar and have that CFO sticker stamped on ur passport. U cant leave the beautiful island of philippines without that smile.gif
PDOS is for over seas filipino workers. CFO is for fiance/spouse.

http://www.cfo.gov.ph/counseling.htm

Per Republic Act 8239 and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Order 28-94, Filipinos proceeding abroad as fiancé(e)s and spouses of foreign nationals are required to attend the CFO's guidance and counseling programs as a pre-requisite to the issuance of passports.

The objective of this program is to help Filipino fiancé(e)s and spouses of foreign nationals make informed decisions regarding their marriage to foreign nationals and to prepare them for their adjustments in cross-cultural marriages.

Among others, Filipino fiancé(e)s and spouses are provided with the following information:

* Migration laws affecting them;

* Welfare and support services available abroad;

* Rights of migrants overseas; and

* Coping up with problematic or difficult domestic situations.

Heno,

in my understanding, the interview fee should be paid before the interview. One of your DS forms will be stamped by the bank (BPI) personnel and that form will be checked at hindi ka nila i-interviewhin if you didnt pay it. Try to PM those who are on IR-1, maybe they can shed light on your questions.

have a good day smile.gif

PhilippinesVaccination Documentation Worksheet
hello there,

we went to the city health department and got the TD shot for free. (in some states it is not free). The health personnel signed my vaccination form indicating that they gave me TD shot. I then sent them to Dr. Arnold in Texas with a 20$ (that's PF and mailing back fee). Dr. Arnold transcribed my vaccination records to the I-693 form without asking another PE.

I dont have ninong and ninang here in the US because it's not uso here. I told my hubby we call them primary sponsor...and he asked "like they are going to SPONSOR our wedding?"
I made our wedding invitation by myself with the help of photoshop.
A love poem and a world Map highlighting USA and pinas and a couple on the foreground printed on a special glossy paper, the wedding entourage printed in vellum paper placed on top of the glossy paper, and the wedding announcement (names, date, venue, etc) on another vellum paper. Wala na ninong at ninang. You can have ninong and ninang when u get married in pinas..we will have our philippine wedding too in the years to come and i told my hubby this time we are having ninongs and ninangs wink.gif

PhilippinesI miss home
QUOTE (iya @ Jul 1 2008, 02:36 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
oh, I miss home as well. I get homesick a LOT. Last year, it was so bad that 6 months in, my hubby actually let me go on vacation in Manila. FOR TWO MONTHS! Heh. We missed each other terribly, but it was very difficult for me to be away from my family (we're very tight-knit, even compared to other Filipino families) and my husband is very, VERY understanding. He knew what I was giving up in coming here, even more than I did, and I guess he was prepared for the homesickness.

This coming August, I'll probably be going to Chicago for a relative's wedding, and I'm betting I'm going to be very homesick then as well, what with all the relatives around, but only a couple or so people who are close to the nuclear family. But then, knowing is half the battle, and I'll be prepared smile.gif

I'm so envious that you have Filipino stores, though! There's none in my area, and that just makes it all the more difficult to make Filipino food..

wow! 2 months of vacation.galing naman smile.gif yes we do have filipino store and an chinatown market that sells pinoy items. Ang saya saya smile.gif
