Middle East and North Africaim sending my Fiancé my forms
I was in the same situation as you. I did not plan to live at the same address when my fiance came to the US. I would suggest you do what I did. Put the current address of your fiance in the USA on the petition and send it. When the time of your interview comes, you should know where you will be living and put the new address on the documents that you will have to bring to the interview and just explain about the new address to the officer.
Now about your parents birthday's. I understand that a lot of people in Morocco do not know their actual day of birth, only the year. If only the year is known, then you will be OK. I am sure the consular official is familiar with this problem. Good luck with your visa journey!

Hachemi got to meet a TV star Thur. night. Not a big time one but probably one you will recognize. Remember the Angel of Death, Andrew on the TV show touched by an Angel? His name is John Dye. Hachemi works part time for a Tunisian friend of ours at a very nice Mediterranean restaurant. John Dye came in to meet with the hometown paper for an interview and to eat dinner. The cool thing is we found out after we bought our house last year that this is the house John Dye grew up in. Hachemi told him that we bought his childhood home and he seemed really pleased. He told us to look around the chimney because he remembered writing his name in the mortar somewhere. lol. Hachemi said he was very nice and of course got an autograph. He came back in with his parents last night before going back to California today. I forgot to say he left a 60 dollar tip!

which movie did you get, meriem?! i've watched a huge amount of those arabic movies on netflix and can give you some rec's and some to avoid if you want! (or you can give me advice too!)

We rented "Vive LAlgerie" Its about the life of three Algerian women trying to make it there. I would love to hear your recommendations. We just recently joined Netflix . I have a couple of other Algerian movies in the queue, one is called Rachida.
Thanks

Happy Caturday everybody! Been sick all week. Finally got a shot yesterday and feeling, oh so much better today. We got an Algerian Movie from Netflix (with english subtitiles) so I guess we will hang out today and watch the movie. There are a lot of foreign movies on Netflix if you are interested. You can break it down by countries or languages. They have a lot of Arabic title movies.

Have a good weekend!

These are pics of my 10 month old cats Boots and Snowball cuddling with the rescue kitten, Gizmo. I found the kitten just about starved to death in our neighbors storage building. He was so little. I intended to nurse him back to health and find him a good home. He found a good home alright, Ours! Hachemi fell in love with him so he is staying. 3 cats in the house, geeesh! tongue.gif

Jackie, maybe the swelling is compressing a nerve or restricting the circulation (or both). Keep it elevated and iced. good.gif Maybe call your primary care Doc to see what he or she suggests. He (or she) will probably say get an xray though.

Middle East and North AfricaCamel Hump Wednesday
About 3 months ago we started trying to get Hachemi's transcript from Ferhat Abbas University in Setif. My MIL hand delivered the release for the transcript to be sent to World Education Services. After many trips to the University the man would not do it. He wanted a bribe. I guess his idea was since Hachemi was living in the USA he must be rich. laughing.gif The college where Hachemi is going now only admitted him on a conditional basis, and even though he qualified for student aid or student loan they was holding it hostage until the transcript was received. Anyway. Hachemi's dad has a friend that knows the director of the University very well. When the school started back up at the first of the year the man that was supposed to send it was relieved of his duty and a new one was in his place. We found out today that the university had translated his transcript into English and sent it Express UPS. I am so glad cause time was running out. We only had about 3 more weeks to get his transcript to the college. I guess it is good to know somebody that knows somebody. yes.gif

Jackie, I did the very same thing to my elbow. I had it xrayed cause it hurt so bad. It wasnt broken, but it took weeks for it to feel better. That is a very tender area to injure. Hope it feels better soon.

Allousa, I hope your little guys heals quickly!

Noura, the Budweiser chicks are hilarious!

Hope everyone is having a good week. good.gif

Sara, your baby is sooooo sweet. I just want to kiss her.

I am babysitting our Tunisian friend's children on the weekends. They are the ones that I have mentioned before that have a restaurant called the Oasis. This is a picture of 2 year old Tej-Deen. He is the cutest thing. His vocabulary is amazing. I have never heard a 2 year old use the big words he uses. If we could only get the little stinker potty trained. good.gif

Hi everyone! Hachemi is studying today and I need to get started cleaning house. My son's team is playing in the state high school soccer playoffs today but we are not going. Kyle is the back up Goalie and may not even get to play anyway. Next year he will be the starting Goalie and I will not miss a game! Hachemi has to work this evening and it's way to far for me to drive alone. If they win today, they will play at home on Tuesday. The team is taking a charter bus and Kyle is excited. Goooo Panthers!!!! kicking.gif

We spent the night tornado watching. We were under multiple tornado warnings. Nothing happened in our area, but north of us was hit pretty hard. This was Hachemi's first time under a warning. He was ready to get in the car and flee. I said Nooooo!!! That's the worse thing to do. Anyway, thank God it didnt hit here, but sorry for the folks north of us.

Middle East and North Africafrom a moroccan forum discussing white marriage or marriage for papers
QUOTE (wahrania @ Feb 6 2008, 11:36 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
For example, both people are of child bearing age. The woman is in her mid 30s. She wants a baby. She discusses this with her husband. Somehow he keeps putting it off, till he gets his papers, then till they have more money. She loses her ability to have kids. He leaves her. He got what he wanted . She did not. He goes and marries a girl from back home.. Not only is the American woman out her best years of her life, she was robbed of having a baby. If someone getting papers from you will not give you a baby when you are making horrible sacrifices for them, BALLAK

I find a lot of your post ridiculous and have called my husband to the computer many times to read what you post. He usually walks away after reading them, spitting out some Algerian words that I don't care to repeat here. This above is just the kind of ####### that makes him angry.

Middle East and North AfricaCatterday.....Pics please
I have my 4 yr old granddaughter,Annalee, this weekend. Hachemi stayed up late to study last night and she is mad cause she cant get him to wake up this morning. She loves him so much.
The university in Setif finally got off their bum and sent Hachemi's transcript to World Education Services. We got the evaluation of his transcript in the mail on Tuesday. They accepted his diploma and approved an equivalent of 90 hours of his course work from an accredited university. It took several months and many trips for Hachemi's family to the university to get this done,. If you spouse is planning to go to college, get their transcript evaluated early. Even if your spouse did not go to college they will need their high school transcript evaluated.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend!!!
