I always plan to listen and forget. I will have to listen in the days to come. What was the topic?

Self-stimulation. I mean those callers were something else. I wonder what tonight's topic will be laughing.gif

What a stress!! I have to try to listen tonight. Marie, are you in JA? If you are, have lots of fun. Yesterday, I was looking at an Air J plane taking off from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood airport and I wanted Aaron and I to be on that plane so much to go home. We are planning for Christmas in JA next year!

Thank you Marie and Kimmy. Lawd...what an uproar Marlita's thread started. She raised some valid points, issues that I even had in my mind as well, but God's willing the NOA1's are on the way and NOA2 is not far behind. The worst part is putting all your things together and sending them off, not knowing where the documents are. You just want to know that everything reach its destination and not in whoi-whoi...

Is the next step receiving Packet 4 which will include the interview date and medical information?

Thanks to all of your support and friendships!

Congratulations Tonya!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif
Yes, packet 4 is next. Start contacting the NVC by mid-January to see if you got an interview for February. It looks like things are slowing up a bit in Kingston, so you could be getting a March date. Keep us posted! good.gif

Last week I told you about the STUPID

Sorry but to finish......the STUPID typo I made........I did not wait to get the RFE in the mail.....I generated the bar code and made another checklist sheet for the DS-230.......I sent in copies of all the appropriate documents as well........and sent it off via DHL........

The automated system says this morning that they have received the checklist letter as of 12/3/07......Does anyone know if it will take another 2-4 weeks before they case complete it......or since they have reviewed it once before, could it take less than that?

I am only hoping and praying that we make a January interview date..........

Peace & Love,
Tonya

You know I got an email from the Embassy in Kingston regarding current interview dates and they said that they were in February. That was about 2 weeks ago I believe. I am not sure if this information she gave me is for ALL visa types or just the visitor one I was requesting info on.

I am sure the info you got was for visitor visas. The immigrant visa interviews should be in January and they should start scheduling that by next week.
Tonya - not meaning to burst your bubble, you may not get a date for January. Just be prepared; if your case is not complete by now, you may be looking at a February date. I hope I am wrong blush.gif

The next step will be to wait for them to set up yet another biometrics appointment and then set up the interview to adjust status. I have a really good (and free) immigration attorney. Thank god ALL of my attorneys were/are free because of the DV. Oh, I didn't add my divorce to my timeline - my divorce was final on Halloween LOL. I had to have attorneys for housing (he tried to have me evicted but it didn't work), family, and divorce courts, and also for immigration. The only one I still have now is the immigration attorney.

Thank you guys for your well wishes.

Good morning all;

I mailed off the IV fee bill and it was delivered to NVC and Mike's dad sent in the I-864 and USPS showed that it was delivered but After checking the system every night I never received any message that it was received nor entered into the system.

Last night I called again and received the following message. What does that mean? We never submitted any documents except the IV bill and AOS.

NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found info missing or incomplete. NVC mailed a letter on 11/29/2007 indicating what doc missing or incomplete. Please return the missing info to the NVC in and allow 6-8 weeks for review and you will be notified of the results????? helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif

Hey Claire,

We will truly miss you and I hope you see this message. More than likely the RFE is the DS-230, his original birth certificate and the police certificates. They give you this impression that you missed stuff, when really they are requesting you send new documentation. Tell Mike to send those things to you as soon as possible if you haven't received it yet. I have been recommending this to everyone I talk to...have him sign a couple copies of the DS230 part 1 (it needs an original signature, not a copy). NVC misplaced the first one I sent and I had to send another complete copy to them. Have him go do the police certificate now: 3 days: J$2000; 21 days: J$1000.
Hope this helps and nuh fret, him soon come! good.gif

I may be wrong but I think u can travel on an expired passport for up to 1yr...but, yeah uhave to get the baby a passport

I wouldn't take the chance with an expired passport. When Aaron and I came in Oct, there was one guy who had an expired passport and they had him in that room that we were in. They let him off with a warning, but the next time he would be fined $500. In the meantime, they fined the airline (Air Jamaica) for letting him travel with an expired passport.
Jengles, I doubt that you will have to wait as long as other people did to get their passports. You should have that in no time. good.gif

Gill - mi ah pray seh yu get yu NOA2 soon soon and the interview is in time fi Easter so yu can celebrate wid some bun and cheese biggrin.gif

Hi Family,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and weekend. Jomo, sorry that it was a hectic day on Friday. I hope all Black Friday shoppers had a great day with fantastic deals. Did anyone else think that the deals were not as great as they were last year? blink.gif

I saw this news story in today's Jamaica Gleaner: Clear up the immigration backlog for Caribbean applicants

Lots of love to all. luv.gif

i want to know if u are require to submit police record, birth certificate, marriage certificate and copies of passport biography page to the NVC...with DS-230 Pt1 & PT2....and if yes wont the embassy require them again...

NVC will forward all that information to the Embassy. When we had our interview we were not asked for any of that, but it won't hurt to have copies with you just in case anything is misplaced. But please be aware that you will have a very hard time getting your originals back. We were told that we would get it back at the time of the interview, but the CO told us that she had to send the complete package for POE. She said we should get it back at POE, but we didn't get it back there either.
Hope that helps and good luck with everything.

Night all;

helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif I know I have seen it here before on the Yardie thread but I can't find the info despite my continued search.

What fees (monies) are required to be paid in Ja before the interview?

Medical $80-95

Police Record $2000

What else is gonna be needed in terms of monies to be paid?

Please help me with this so I can know how much to send for this prep. Thanks a bunch.

Hey Claire, Happy Thanksgiving!!

You may have seen some of this information under Embassy Info.

Here is the information from the Kingston Embassy on the Medical Exam.

Have a wonderful day today. Nuff heart.gif .

WOW...You guys hit 700 pages and nearly lock down VJ jest.gif jest.gif

Classy - sorry for all that you were going through last night. I certainly believe that you need sometime to yourself (tell him you need the space) to sort this out. As you can see there are differing opinions, but you already know in yourself what's best.

JaEnglish (with the baby who ah steal mi heart...Lawd him sweet yes.gif): Before we got married, Aaron never asked me for anything. When I moved back to JA in 99, things hit my family hard with my dad losing his job and my stepmother being diagnosed with cancer (she died a year before we got married). Aaron used to give me lunch money, pay for my school books, give me gas money for the car. When I moved back to the States, he used to send me money if I was short one month. When God blessed me with a better job, if he needed anything, I would never hesitate to give it to him. When they fell behind on the mortgage on his parent's home, I had a life insurance policy that my dad cashed in for me and I gave them all that money to get caught up. He has done so much for me, that I will never hesitate to do ANYTHING for him. I remember when I wasn't able to pay my tuition one year, he went and got a loan from NCB to pay for my last semester in school. I thank God that I got a man that I can work with and build our lives together. He just wants a job so that he can start supporting his family, he says everyday.

Belly's Girl: I wish you and hubby all the best. I know what you mean about just wanting to be in his physical presence. That's all I needed for the world to feel right. I pray that you will both be together soon. good.gif
