I'm not sure if EDD checks could be use as a proof income and if PH will allow co-sponsorship. I'm pretty sure other members here as more knowledgeable with this kind of situation. Good luck finding a replacement job!



I'm not worried about using unemployment as a source for support, I fully expect to be in a new job before we get aproved. I'm more concerned about just the fact of a change and length of employment effects on the support paperwork.

For tax purposes it is not included as taxable income. Therefore it won't show up in your taxes. Did you have other income and did you file taxes for the previous 3 tax years claiming other income?

Yes, I have filed the past three years, other income was very minimal, less then 5000.00

I called Uscis Friday, and finally someone answered my question if disability income from Railroad retirement, or SSDI counted as income for affadavit of support, the answer was yes, if you get an agent that is hard to get info from, call back later and talk to someone else. Worked for me. Just wanted to share this account found it hard to get the info.

On the I129F it does not have an option on Anullment. My Fiance from Philippines has one, but has not received her Ceynamar yet, but has a Certificat of finality We put in her former married last name as former married name, and attached the certificate, anyone else run into this? Filing it on Monday, any advice before I send it wo0uld be great help. Best we could figure is put in the last married name, and make a note, supplement with certificate attached to it. Sound right?

Okay, followed all the mailing address and procedures. Mailed to USCIS P.O. Box 660151 Dallas TX 75266. BUT, today I wen to USPS site and tracked it and it says, December 27 "Notice left, no authorized recipient available." Then it says, December 28 "Delivered". BUT it is a differnet zip code, not 75622 but instead 75260. Now, how am I suppose to know if it was delivered to the right place? Any help here? Delivered

I am very new to this, and I have been reading as much information as possible. I have gathered as much evidence as possible.

I do have a few questions:

The current forms on the website, are all outdated. Is it ok to use them in my packet, or is there updated ones somewhere?

Is it better to go to an office to start the K1 or am I safe enough gathering all documents and sending it on my own?

Im from Minnesota, and my fiancé is from Australia, would we be ok to buy a future plane ticket, or should we wait?

I have traveled and been with my fiancee in the Phils many times, but sounds like you want to send supporting evidence for one particular meeting. So as of now I'm sending the following from my last trip there a week ago: My Airline Itinerary, boarding passes, a couple bus tickets, a receipt for hotel with both of our names on it and all my pages of my passport which shows I have been going in and out of the Phils every month for the last 4 years(lots of stamps). Also sending 6 pics of us together, AT&T phone bill, and both of our letters of intent to Marry. Is this sounding like enough? Appreciate any info that can be given.

Given Egypt is high fraud, we decided early on it'll be beneficial if I showed up. So, I did. We also went very prepared; down to our professional attire. Visa approved instantly. Received it in 2 weeks.
Whereas a lot for couples in Egypt (engaged and married) are receiving AP's at best. Now there's a new policy that no Americans are allowed in that embassy, which sucks.

Anyways, if you have the financial means to go to the interview, please do so. It'll only help your case.

I just filled out the DS-260 last night for my fiance. You need to do this first before you can sign up for your interview. Be warned-it takes a while-it took me about 2-3 hours (because they ask for addresses/employment info). Then you can pay and choose your ASC and interview dates and locations (my fiance is going to have his ASC appt in Merida before going to Ciudad Juarez for his interview on June 10th). Hope this helps a bit. I just followed the link from the Consulate's website to end up in the right place. You will need info from the letter sent by the NVC (which I haven't received yet, but I called the NVC). Good luck!


We have all the info since I cheated & found a form & filled them out by hand so all the information will be at our finger tips...we will need to do every thing 3 times since we have the children...
I love Merida...does your fiancee live close? I spend a lot of time there & have lots of friends there!!! We thought about going there for ASC first as well but the travel from Isla Cozumel by ferry then the bus to Merida & back adds up!
We have our invitation letter so we are ready to go...sorta LOL!

Hi, I have a worry!
We are leaving for Cozumel Mexico Monday, now we can not go pay cuz the offices are closed till monday...so we will pay when we get to Mexico
I also am freaking cuz Lupita did not get Kevins passport yet...it is ordered & will be here next thursday...we can not file for him without his Passport #.
This means we can not even get the ASC apointment until next Thurs May 27 at the earliest...we want to fly to Juarez Thursday June 2 (a week later)
here is the question, do they have a lot of open appointmnts when you call? or are they booked way out?
We are rushing cuz Rip needs to be back in the USA for work June 13, he may need to leave us in Juarez waiting for the visa delivery & go home ahead of us.

I think it is an 8 digit number...we had to call the NVC for this, they told me that it is not printed on our papers...NVC 603-334-0700 they are very nice!
