When we first submitted our I-129F (on June 22), VJ predicted our case would be adjudicated by November 22nd. NOW with every day that passes, that predicted date gets closer and closer. In all, more than ONE MONTH has been shaved from our predicted wait time. WAY TO GO CSC! Vermont better start picking up the slack.

Originally predicted adjudication date: Nov 22
Today's predicted adjudication date: Oct 19th

Me too, my original date showed Nov 18th-28th,2012 (was totally devastated)... I almost had a nervous break down (I think I did have the break down). Then, last week I woke up and almost died of a heart attack. I received My NOA2 and it was less than 90 days. Got mine at day 74, so glad CSC is working fast for my fellow filers...

OK, I am totally geeked to the point I forgot to ask all of my questions. NVC received today my petition, and I have to call them back by Wednesday with Fiance's e-mail address.

I am getting frustrated, NVC received my package on July 30. I have called everyday, sometimes twice a day and they keep telling me they have it, however it still has not been entered and I need to give it 20 business days?

Who told you to call back the NVC by Wed to provide them with the email address???

Should I be calling someone else or asking something different

Also, we already have lots of mutual friends here in my home state. We have been blessed by being great friends for going on 9 years.

Well, you don't have to get married, it will just make the next round a bit easier. Also, if you refile the CR1, he will be eligible for more upon his arrival. Glad you are so positive about this, it makes things better. Again sorry for this kind of outcome..

I just had the chance to speak more in detail with Papa and he was DENIED based on two things. Not enough proof that we are in a bonafide relationship and he tested positive for marijuana. There is a one year ban placed on him. This isnt a lifetime and we will make it work. For those who are judgmental.. I will say this...I believe in CHANGES AND CHANCES. I know that he had stopped smoking. But I guess the time wasnt long enough. I dont want to here about US tax paying citizens either. I am a tax paying citizen, I am a homeowner and a business owner. So I am very familiar. I am looking for help from those who can help or point me the right direction. Please...I am already in pain....

OK, there is nothing you can do at this point!! Just Book, Pack and Go visit him. There is nothing you or an attorney can do at this point. Go there, marry him and then re file after the one year ban has been lifted. Do not waste $$ on hiring an attorney. My friend recently went through this same thing and her husband is now here with her.

Well, Papa was DENIED based on there was not sufficient proof that this is a bonafide relationship...lol!!! What a joke. I have been to Jamaica 8 times in less than a year. I was pregnant and miscarried. We have 100's of photos. His mom just left from visiting me. Western Union receipts. A year's worth of yahoo messages and over $1000 in phone bills. But I love him...no turning back!!!

Maybe, I'm anxious but it has been 6weeks since my K1 approval and my case still hasn't been recieved by the NVC. I called USCIS numerous times and to be finally told that my K1 was forwarded to the NVC almost 4 weeks after approval. So now today is 15business days since sent to NVC and they still haven't recieved my case. So I dont understand what was the whole purpose of getting an expedite approved if I'm still having to wait extra six weeks and nothing happens. Basically, my fiance could have been here by now or about to have his interview.It's very disturbing to see people whose been approved after me with interview dates before mines. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for those who are getting through. But, it's very depressing. Maybe this whole ordeal isn't just meant to be. Really feel like giving up. First petition denied. So i tried again with this one and it seems like it's a dead end.


Girl PLEASE do not give up now. This process is hard and long but that is not what determines giving up on the love that you and you loved on share!! Just keep the faith. Try to stay positive.

Also, I am not trying to be negative at all. However, back in May 2012 I went to an attorney that was going to help me try and get my case expiated. I needed to have surgery and there was a possibility that I had cancer. He made it very clear to me that even if my case is expedited, the process can still take some time. He told me Don't plan on this happening in a month or even two. He specializes in this and is the son of the CEO of the company I work for and have for 11 years in other words I TRUST what he was telling me). If I remember right, you have a baby on the way and you need to stay rested and calm for your likkle blessing. Just pray each and every night (I am sure that u already are).

dhl who told me the visa could be here tomorrow didn't know what the eff he was talking about. that's what i get for calling the 1 800 number dhl and not specifically the jamaica dhl office who was handling my case. after i called the dhl office in jamaica they told me that even though the status says "order shipped" that only means that they started communicating with the embassy it doesn't mean the visa shipped. The visa has not left the embassy yet. I knew it was too good to be true. And it's rather deceiving though when you see "order shipped" you would think they sent the visa, but no. I still have faith my case could be one of the cases you read about on this site that got the visa in hand three days after the interview. I am still hopeful the kids could be here by christmas. I am not losing hope until christmas is over. I email the embassy almost every day it feels like, and i have been facebooking them too. Hope still remains, anxiety still going strong. Want my kids to get over here so I can go on with the rest of my life. I can't imagine how the poor kids feel waiting to get to be with me and their dad for a year and a half now.


Mine was done last week. On Friday the DHL site showed it was picked up at 14:17. On that following Sunday, the site showed it was on hold. So that is correct, they only scan the DHL number once the process has begun. After that I called the DOS and they told me all details, other than when it would ship. Humm, good luck I pray they will be home for x mas. If not, just keep the spirit going and plan on a 2nd Christmas :) during the season. I told my husband if he was not home by x mas, my tree and decor would stay up until he reached. Even if it was June LOL...

As I suggested in another post to you CALL the Department of State (DOS), they can tell you where the status is at 1-202-663-1225 press 1 then press 0. From the looks of it, you should have them by Friday. My husband's was approved Thursday the 13th, Visa processed on the 14th, DHL picked it up on the 17th, we picked it up at DHL (Mobay) yesterday :).....

Ok, I just would like some thoughts as to what the best way to handle this is? Should we file for the K3 Visa or the CR-1/IR-1 Visa (which is better)?

I am getting ready to start the process to bring my husband home, I am having a hard time with all this!! It seems so overwhelming. My situation is confusing as my husband was previously married and brought to the states on a marriage visa. The marriage went sour after 7 years. They traveled back and forth between US & Jamaica. However, he is currently out of status in the US. He “had” a valid Green Card (Exp 2016), however his current Travel Documents are expired. We have been advised the best way to handle this is to start over and not do an SB-1. When completing any of the forms should I put his SS# that he was assigned on the forms, also, should we use his previous Alien Registration number on our new documents?

I will not breath until this is over, all this paperwork seems so crazy. Frustrated with how this system works. That it takes so long, so much money and most of all the separation and the fact he cannot come to me for a visit ;(…

My answer: I did back in Nov 2004, however we called off the engagement and never followed through with the marriage. All we received was a NOA1 and never talked again? Is that the appropriate answer? What would the results be for that??

Also, my husband and I have never really lived together so how do I answer question 21 on I-130?

That i missed something or didn't do something correct!! Also, our situation is a little different and a long story. We have a history,we actully met in the US when he was married to his now Ex wife. However, they were togather for almost 9 years, come to find out she lied on all the papers. She said she was never married and she was!! Now it has come up that she was never divorced from the 1st husband :wow: !! so I hope we don't run into any other problems.

We have known each other for 8 years and we lived togahter here in the US, however we were just roommates back then. I have been travling to Jamaica for years and I am best friends with his sister and call her kids my nieces and nephews. They have even come to visit me in the states (the kids).

Well it was drug related!! I am not playing the blame game but it was something that belonged to someone else. I was only 18 years old (DUMMY DAZE) and got myself in the middle of a huge mess. Either way they dropped the charge down to a misdemeanor and let me move on. I have never been in trouble since, other than a traffice violation (tehe). I just hate when this ####### comes up, I never had it sealed and I am not even sure if it comes up on my records. However, this is the Gov't so I know that they will see it all..

OK, not that I want to put this out there but it just came to mind. About 17 years ago I got into trouble with the law. I am wondering if this will have an effect on our case. It was a misdemeanor. Now I am even more worried. The I-130 never asked on the form, if it did I would have been honest, clearly they are going to find out right. Will this cause an automatic denial?? My husband has never been in trouble. Can anyone give me an opinion on this?

You can try to apply, however chances are slim in getting it approved.. (IMO)Seems to be tricky, they ask you to prove you have strong ties in your county to apply for the vistor's visa. Then in the CR1 visa they want you to prove why you would want to immigrate and be with your spouse, its a catch 22. Everything is worth a try, if you have the money to gamble go for it...

O.K. so here I go again… I had extreme anxiety from the fist process and I feel it starting again. Ok, so the NVC received our stuff on 7/30/2012, the operator told me to call back in 20 days (which I will continue to call daily) until I get what I need..

Right now I am in the process of completing the I-864 AOS. Why does the Gov’t have to make everything so confusing and why do they ask the same questions over and over (I guess to keep us on our toes)? The first set of papers took me over a month to complete, kept filing out the same forms over and over, studing them to make sure everything was right (did me some good with an NOA2 in 74 days)..

Page 1,Part 3, Question 8- So I checked two boxes. Box 1- I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in part 2 above
Right below that I checked the Yes box-Is this correct?

Page 1,Part 3, Question 9- Do I need to put my husband’s information in box A?

O.K. as much as I love Jamaica, the system there sucks real bad sometimes!! So I have my husband working on what I will need from him for the next phase.

One of the things was his mothers DOB? His mother passed away when he was a little boy, so he isn't sure what her DOB is. So, I sent him to Sav to try and find out, he paid them $300 (JA) to do a search with her full name and they have no record. We have her name and all the information that was provided on his BC, but no date of birth for her. If we can not find out, what should I do on the DS-230 for where it ask for that information??

Yes, send both the originals and the photocopies in the same package. You'll get the originals back at the interview.


I know that you know you stuff Saylin, but I was told to send the NVC the original plus a copy??? Are you 100% sure they do not need a copy as well??? I think imma send it anyway.. Better safe than sorry...

You will need to do the following:

1- Original Copy of Birth Certificate for the beneficiary + 1 Photo copy

1- Original Marriage Certificate + 1 Photo copy

1- Original Police Certificate + 1 Photo Copy

I saw that someone who's case was received at the NVC at the same time as mine and they received their case number.
