Second: Today, my dear husband, called to USCIS, because he was anxious for notice. Look at the message that he sent me: " i don´t think you are going to be in USA before chistmas. Because in July they change the system...." WHAT THE HELL the representative tried to tell to him? I was thinking just the fees are different now! I was excepting my interview for end of November! K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Approved April/May/June Filers waiting for NVC	VERY IMPORTANT FOR US: Application Fees for Non-Immigrant Visas to Increase On January 1, 2008 Effective January 1, 2008, the application fee for a U.S. non-immigrant visa will increase from $100 to $131. This increase allows the Department to recover the costs of security and other enhancements to the non-immigrant visa application process. This increase applies both to non-immigrant visas issued on machine-readable foils in passports and to border crossing cards issued to certain applicants in Mexico. Applicants who paid the prior $100 application fee before January 1 will be processed only if they are scheduled and appear for a visa interview before January 31. Applicants who paid the prior $100 application fee and appear for visa interviews after January 31, 2008 must pay the difference -- $31 -- before they will be interviewed. The Department is required by law to attempt to recover the cost of processing non-immigrant visas through the collection of the Machine-Readable Visa application fee. Because of new security-related costs, new information technology systems, and inflation, the $100 Machine-Readable Visa fee is lower than the actual cost of processing non-immigrant visas. In fact, the $100 fee was already lower than the cost of processing non-immigrant visas when the fee was reviewed as a part of the cost of service study in 2004. The Department has been absorbing the additional cost. We are now collecting 10 fingerprints from each applicant, and the cost charged by the FBI to review those fingerprints no longer allows us to do this. When does a person need 2? Also how much money do they need to make to be a sponcer? Also, what if the sponcer is a retired person, can they qualify as a sponcer since they no longer work? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	the I-134 NIGHTMARE!	My parents are in the process of filling out the I-134 as my co-sponsor. My father is retired yet has a job making $28,000. So when he lists his annual income, does he include both his w-2 amount from his job and the amount he receives from his retirement? Also would I have to show proof of this retirement payments? What would qualify as proof or would this appear in the tax transcripts and the transcripts be good enough proof for the retirement money received for the year? ALSO since his annual income exceeds the amount needed to sponsor my wife, does he have to fill out the 7 following questions regarding his bank accounts and assets or does he leave them blank or type n/a? Also he does own a house yet I know he cannot just answer NONE in the line regarding his mortgage or could he? How do I answer these questions. Also a question regarding myself. My bank verification letter only included my account information since last September since I had to close it in Sept. due to unknown charges to it. It also did not list the total amount of deposits. Should I ask for another Verification letter including the whole year of 2007 with total deposits or doesn’t this matter and the current one that I have is good enough?
