Same applies to St. Thomas and St. Croix, and Guam. WRONG! Please, don't give away incorrect informations! I'm a conditional GC holder and I visited the island of Porto Rico in the summer. It is invalid as soon as she enters the US at her initial POE. Keep your honeymoon inside the US and you will have no issues. The above is the answer to your question. Perhaps, Hawaii or Porto Rico? We are going to go get a marriage license in Ohio where we live. From what I understand they will give us the marriage license the same day and then we are able to get married as long as its signed by a licensed clergy. I'm kind of worried because my wife doesn't speak english and was wondering if we would have any problems swearing to marry each other since she can't understand the document/what people are saying. The other guy filed the visa. As others already said, yours isn't an immigration issue. You (probably) won't see her or your money (definitely not) again so move on and get a life. Fortunately, my interview was so smoothed and the consulate was so good to me. He never asked a lot of questions regarding our age gap or etc. he was focused asking about my documents and thats it and my visa has been approved! But i agree with the others that maybe it is depend of the consulate you will be dealing with because on the day of my interview my interviewer was a bit older too. But unfortunately, i regretted why did i choose my ex-husband to be my husband coz it is so much harder dealing with a husband who's seriously a lot of years older than you. Neither of us formally proposed to one another - we just knew that we wanted to get married and didn't worry about an engagement ring either.   It so happens that I was asked point blank 'how did he propose' by the IO at the interview (nearly fainted on the spot because I was worried about it also) and I just told her the truth in that there was no formal proposal - it wasn't an issue and she didn't appear overly surprised either.   Hope this helps quell your nerves.  All the best for your interview and have a fantastic week!
