US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionK-1 Interview Failed. What now?
The biggest problem I see is that you both were trying to cover up the way you actually met, I don't know why you cant just say you met via her Uncle and tell the truth there is no reason to cover this up. But by everyone agreeing to omit the information this becomes a conspiracy. Even if the information covered up is harmless you still have falsified the papery work you turned in to USCIS. Another problem you may have is Conspiracy is a criminal act. The best thing you can do now is talk to an attorney on this matter.

yep im afraid that if you needed all emails my fiancee would not be able to get on the plane with that much papers would be over the weight limit and the price to print 3 years of emails of one or two or sometimes 3 a day may cost more than the air fare. Best wishes to you and good luck

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionDS 157
My finace had to fill it up by hand because the one we filled out online the bank said was out of date when she paid embassy fee. They gave her different Version of DS 157. The one we filled out online came form the Link on Embassy website only a couple of weeks before she paid. Good Luck and Happy Thanksgiving

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionSample Interview Question for K1 at US Embassy Manila
Opps i forgot to answer part of your question.
you can fill out the forms 156 156K and 157 which you can get copies of from links on the embassy website.

The 156k is taken to thd bank where you pay the embassy fees and they valiate the form on the back showing you made payment.

Your fiance needs to do the I 134 affidvait of support get in notrized and send it to you with supporting documents

we also included new intent to marry documents.

you dont need to send they forms off, you just take the to the embassy with you during your interview

follow the instructions for the medical which needs to be done a week before interview date at least.

Also you need copies of the 129f and other docuement submitted to USCIS with you evidence of having met pictures airline tickes things like that

You will also need the NBI police clearnce certificate of no marriage or annulment papers and umm wait a sec let me just send a link will be easier lolz.

http://manila.usemba...ov/wwwfk1en.pdf

that will save me a lot of more typing and probable be more understandable to you.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionSample Interview Question for K1 at US Embassy Manila
you can call NVC and get the MNL number. They can also tell you if your case has been sent out to embassy. In about 10 to 14 days after the documents are sent to embassy you can call and if they have entered your case in there system they will let yoy set a interview date. At least that worked for us. We got the letter saying we can set then interveiw about 3 days after we had gotten the interview date.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionSample Interview Question for K1 at US Embassy Manila
after you get noa2 the case is forwared to NVC if your K1 or K3 its only there about 2 or 3 days the assign a new case number for Philippines the new case number will be like MNL2008XXXXXXX those x's will be numbers lolz. then the case is shipped via DHL to the manila embassy once at the embassy it takes a week or sometimes 2 weeks to get it entered into there system and they send out a letter saying your ok to set up interview. It all tells you where to download forms you need and what other docutments along with some infromation about medical. i called NVC and got the MNL number and found out when the package was shipped. Two weeks later I called embassy and got interview date, a couple of days after that Radz recieved the letter from embassy saying she can call for interview date. I know this sounds backwards but I didnt wait for her letter to set up interview. Once you set up interview they will send out email verifiying your interview date, ours was sent to Radz and she sent me copy of the email. Good Luck

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionCONFUSED..I paid the $131 visa application fee
here are the instrutions for the forms needed at embassy:

None of the official K1/K2 visa application forms will not be mailed to the beneficiary, as of March 2008, but may be downloaded from the Department of State (DOS) website [CLICK HERE] which is indicated in the USE Confirmation Letter mailed to the beneficary once the hard copy case files has been received by the USE from the NVC. As of 01 November 2006, the DS-156 (Nonimmigrant Visa Application) MUST be completed online via the Electronic Visa Application Form (EVAF) http://evisaforms.state.gov, which is sited on the DOS website. Completion of the DS-156K (Nonimmigrant Fiancé(e) Visa Application), the DS-157 (Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Application) and the I-134 (Affidavit of Support) can be done via computer (recommended), type-writer (just as good), or handwritten (last resort). To review the K1 Visa Forms (DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157, & I-134) most Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE]. To review the Manila Embassy Thread's recommendations on what to bring (which directly corresponds with Packet 4) and sample questions asked by the Consular Officer during the visa interview [CLICK HERE]. All applications and/or back-up documentation referenced in Packet 4 should be presented during the visa interview and should NOT be mailed or faxed to the USE unless explicitly instructed to do so by the USE.

I would make at least 2 copies of everything, we even made spare copies to keep for our records. Good Luck

Not sure if this part helps, but Radz had the form filled out online via computer when she went to the bank in Davao, the bank would not accept that form and made her fill out a new one, That probable can change from bank to bank, but that is what happend with us. Radz said the bank told her she had the old form, After that I checked then online form again and it was the one we had used so not sure what happened there, we were just happy to have validated form. LOLs

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionwho is scheduled for interview on JANUARY 12?
I think they tell you that so you dont call and worry them to death about where is my visa lolz. but from what I have read here it looks like most only take a few days or sometimes couple of weeks depending on where the visa has to be sent out to. Jan 12 is after the holidays so I woudnt think that would effect it, I think it may effect ours which is Dec 19. Good Luck on your medical and interview.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHow many Passport Photos?
We sent one passport photo of each of us to USCIS with paperwork with names and dates written on the back in felt tip pen. We also sent a couple of pictures of us together in davao with our name and date on the back for proof of meeting along with other stuff. We did send 4 copies of G 325a for each of us, I have read they only require one but the insturctions say 4 so why take a chance its only a few more pieces of paper. Good Luck

In Philippines St Lukes medical keeps the passport and forwards it to the embassy with the medical results, so showing the passport is not a option.

Page 3 bar code is what they scan, it contains all information entered into the first 2 pages.

A DOT-Matrix printer does not print at a high enough resolution, needs to be ink-jet or laser printer.

Since this applies to all consulates and embassies will move it to Consulate/ Embassy forum.

To clarify, Epson is a printer brand, not a printer category, like "ink jet" or "laser". Many "Epson" printers are "ink jet" printers. but some are not. Do they make laser jet printers too? What's the model number of the Epson printer in question?
True!

I remember the old MX-80 model from the early 80's

http://www.macx.dk/50_Best_Tech/ (#42 on the list)

That reminds me of the printer we had at work when I first started. The thing was so big it almost needed its own room.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionA little rant...
The reason for the re fingerprinting is to verify they are still dealing with the same perons. It has to do with identity theft and its a positive way for them to show that each step in the process was the same person. I work in Law Enforcement and each time we make an arrest we fingerprint the person again, even if we have there prints on file 50 or more times from past dealings. These prints are submitted up via computer. Sometimes we fingerprint someone and we get a report back in telling us this person has been fingerprinted before but under a different name. Then we investigate further. That is the reason for the fingerprinting and its required by the Homeland Security Act. Basicly its the best way they have of knowing they are dealing with the same person from start to close.
