K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMy fiancee is pregnant and I'm about to submit the I-129F
Thank you everyone for the warm wishes for our baby :-) Truly he/she is a blessing and God wanted him/her to be with us. :-) We'll find a way with faith, prayer, and a few good letters to a couple of Senators and a Congressman (in the near future because I'm a determined Daddy). :-)

I have never heard of the letter you mentioned - I don't think that is true at all. (Everyone submite a letter of intent - no difference whether a pregnancy is involved).

No, getting your fiancee pregnant will not speed up the process.

I definitely did not get her pregnant to speed up the process. It was unintentional. Perhaps though I should leave it out for now and send such a letter to the interview when she goes. The goverment might think that I got her pregnant to try to speed up the process. *sigh*

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMy fiancee is pregnant and I'm about to submit the I-129F
We just found out yesterday that my Ukrainian fiancee is pregnant. (BTW, we are very happy about this :-D)

However, we haven't submitted the I-129F yet, we are collecting paperwork as fast as we can.

I have read that I'm supposed to submit a letter indicating that I know she is pregnant and that I still want to marry her. Do I submit this with the I-129F form or does it go with her to the embassy during her interview?

ONE OTHER QUESTION: Is being pregnant grounds to speed up the process?? I really want the baby born in the USA and not in Ukraine, specifically because it will slow down the process more with more paperwork and because I want to be with her when she gives birth and the father being with the mother is STRICTLY not allowed in Ukraine. (#######!)

Thank you for any help

You obviously haven't read the Guides. You do not need to send in any evidence of your relationship with the petition; only the proof of meeting in person within the last two years.

The relationship evidence is brought to the interview.

How odd... The sample "How we met statement" says things like "I'm enclosing phone bills and emails to show that we have communicated" and "I've inclosed photos of us together and our wedding invitations".

So this is unnecessary? I understand the meeting part, I already have my airline tickets and passport ready to go, but am not sure why this example letter has evidence of a relationship too.

haha... actually I just checked. From December 15th 2010 to today, our Skype IM history is 1710 pages of text in a Word document :-D

So for the entire year, easily over 5000 pages of IM messages :-D

So... the question remains.. what exactly to give the USICS if even necessary?

I think I understand now. Thank you everyone for your input.

The basic rule of thumb I think is that the lawyers want all of these affidavits and other things because it is a CYA (cover your dupa) tactic. If you send EVERY piece of evidence that the government could possibly want, then it ensures that they have no RFEs. (They can't say "100% success" without doing so.) Anyways I've gone ahead with getting affidavits and just got a letter today from my priest of my church who will marry us, because as they say "it can't hurt" and I've done a few already.

I won't use the attorney, I think that the instructions are pretty straightforward and we don't have any complex issues (no criminal history, she has no children (other than the one in her womb), etc)

QUESTION:
How many emails and skype information should I give? We literally IM each other at least 10 hours a day. If I were to print it all it would be literally over 1000 pages. For emails, we stopped writing emails about 4 months ago because we literally talk all day long. I don't have any phone calls directly since we use skype, is there a way to print out the history of calls?

Yes how true, this site has been very useful to me. I just am paranoid to forget something.

I will make this case though. One of my new friends sent me a form that a lawyer put together. On this form it said one of the things I needed as an Affidavit from 4 people who say that the intention to marry is real. So I have two of my friends putting together this letter which they will get notorized which will show that we have been telling people about us getting married. Yet, I don't see that listed on the FAQ site on this site (http://www.visajourn...I129f.html#3.12) under section 3.2. So my concern is that I need to know exactly what I need, because with my fiancee pregnant, I can't afford months of delays (caused by me, I understand that the people who process often make mistakes). So is the FAQ a complete resource that I can use? I just don't want any RFE calls if I can help it :-)

One of the people I work with used this site and she didn't use the lawyer, but instead only the references on this site and was successful. Getting the completed visa in less than 6 months!

QUESTION: I read somewhere that the Vermont processing center would process the cases from New England. I thought that is where I was supposed to send it (actually I was going to drive it up there to be honest). Now I'm supposed to send to the "lockbox"? Why such an odd name "lockbox" anyways???

Because I'm trying to finish up the I-129F quickly (within the next two weeks, and so far so good about collecting documents and preparing translations with an official company), I would like to have a lawyer or some firm assist to make sure we have everything we need and everything is in order. Can anyone recommend some law firms or otherwise online immigration visa help sites that were very good in helping you prepare for the Visa process?

Some of our new friends from this site mentioned they had good luck with www.amerilawgroup.com. Is there any other good immigration lawyer firms that any of you would recommend that are specifically familiar with the Vermont Service Center?

Thank you kindly

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNEW EMERGENCY: Can I use whiteout???
My fiancee from Ukraine sent me her G325A signed in the mail. However, after getting some of her documents translated, we realize now that she has a typo in her former husband's name and her own name after being translated. Can I use whiteout to remove the errors?? Do we know if whiteout will invalidate the form?

WHO DO I MAKE THE CHECK OUT TO? It doesn't say, just everywhere it says send in a check for 340 dollars.

I assume USCIS, but I don't know for sure.

I used the ACCO fasteners. Worked great after 2 hole punching the top of the pile of papers. Shipped it out this morning. Time to cross my fingers and pray. :-D

I used paper clips and a binder clip on the whole thing. They will disassemble it anyway. Putting photos in some sort of cover or even a ziplock bag is a good idea.

I have plenty of paper clips and some large binder clips that would fit my stack of paperwork. :-)

Thank you my friends! I appreciate all of your wisdom and knowledge! Exciting to finally be able to file my petition!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresBinding the I-129F to send it in
Actually I just read this in one of the instruction forms:

Note: Place all required items in a large, flat, envelope for mailing to the USCIS.
Do not staple or tape documents or photos together or place them in a binder.
Simply attaché the documents + copies, documents + translations, etc. together
with strong paper clips or other similar devices. Do not place documents into
three ring or other binders or holders as the USCIS reviewer will have to
disassemble it before reviewing. Simply place all documents neatly in the
envelope with everything held together with simple clips. Photos should be
placed in a clear plastic bag and affixed with a clip to the package of forms. Mail
the documents package as indicated above.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresBinding the I-129F to send it in
I'm like two days away from binding and sending in my I-129F petition. However, I have some questions for ya'll. How do they like it bound? Its quite a wad of paper... at least an inch thick and that isn't including the skype conversations (4300 pages.. hah! No Gary I'm not going to include them all :-P )

Anyways, one of the guys here used a Acco Steel Fasteners with holes punched on the top. Another person I know used a 3 ring binder that is punched at top. Seems they like top-punched holes?? What are the best fasteners? I need to go down to Staples to pick up something tonight.

ALSO, what is the best way to label things? Put all the papers into plastic document bags and write on them? Use sticky labels?

Thank you!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2 a success, now I need to know what to send her! Please help
I got the NOA2 and she is going to get her medical exam and she is preparing her vaccine documents. I know I need to fill out the affidavit of support form, but what else do I need to send her for the interview? (this is for K-1, she is in Ukraine)

Do I need to send:

original W-2s or just copies? How many years back?
Other financial forms? if so which ones?
Original birth and divorce certificates I know that at least.

What else am I missing???
