K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2011 Filers	My fiancee finally got her letter from USEMBASSY manila stating that she can schedule her interview. But the sad thing is that we still have to wait for her police certificate from brunie. And to think she cannot apply for the certificate not unless the letter from US embassy arrive since it is part of the requirement. Such a hassle. But anyway , we can now start the police certificate application hoping that we dont have to wait longer. I really am excited to bring her to US with me when I leave in Oct 7, hope things will work out fine. If only you were leaving 2 days later, we might've been able to bump into each other at NAIA. November 27th. I am going to get her over Thanksgiving... Oddly enough our wedding is the same day as yours. We are doing that in Vegas... That day happens to be her birthday too. Hehehe. I have Amy's CFO form all filled out and ready for her signature. My mother and I will be there for the birth. So, I have every intention of being with her for the interview. We'll wait until we hear the magic word, "approved" before worrying about the CFO. If everything goes as hoped for, Amy and Serena will be coming back with Mom and I on Nov 11. However, I've heard stories of K-1 visas being delayed until the CRBA is completed. I would estimate that would only take a couple of weeks if no DNA test is required. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2011 Filers	We aren't able to get the letter stating that she was in Jordan during April 2011 because one person refused to sign it. We got the following items : Photocopies of all pages of her passport Copy of her work certificate stated she is in Jordan work from Nov 09 to present Photocopy of her residency visa Photocopy of her work id Some kind of form stating that she has not left Jordan. Everyone do you think that is enough? I don't get some people. Why would anyone refuse to sign something so innocent? Oh, well... It should be off to Manila this week I would imagine... They did not have a MNL case number as of yet. I will try again later this week to get that number. Call them again on Wednesday. We're going to do the following : Get her employer to write a letter stating she was in Jordan during the whole month April. Photocopy of her residence visa Photocopy of her work id badge Photocopy of entry stamp to Jordan in her Passport Her work certification I was told by an USCIS officer to write a cover letter explaining her situation there. He said send in more photos and all other evidence just in case. If anyone feels I'm missing anything feel free to chip in. Yeah, do all that... and the welcome to Jordan pic. Since our I-129F form states that GG is from Phil they want proof that she was in Jordan when I traveled there. Seems a little silly that the 15 pictures with about half of them being from the mountains and desert in Petra and Jordan. I don't maybe there is a lot of camels and desert in Phil that I don't know of. Or maybe I'm really really good at Photoshop. Oh and GG paid for the hotel IN Jordan. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2011 Filers	I havent got a hold of our NOA2 yet, Just curious what is the usual instruction stated inside the notice. I will take your advice Ray, I will checked our approved I-129F at NVC after 2 weeks. Hopefully they have it by then. I have a question, when is the best time to secure police certificate? My fiancee have worked and stayed in Brunie for 2 years. As a requirement, she needs to secure the police certificate from Brunie. It is advisable to secure it while the application is still at NVC or when the papers in USEMBASSY. The NBI certificate (police clearance) is good for one year. If there are other countries involved besides the beneficiary's home country, then I wouldn't wait to get them. Start with any NBI certificates from other countries first. If the beneficiary has a clean NBI (no past legal problems) in the Philippines, getting the certificate can take only about 5 minutes to get at any NBI field office. For more information on Philippines NBI, visit http://www.nbi.gov.ph/faq.htm. Oh, by the way... it's not 2 calendar weeks to wait for NVC to receive before emailing your NOA2. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2011 Filers	We mailed the divorce decree as requested by RFE they send to us last July 13. We received the email notice informing that our I-129F application is approved and that they mail the NOA2 July 28, 2011. But here we are again, got to ask my sister to get hold of the NOA2 hard copy since Im with my fiancee in Philippines right now.Glad to know things are getting in progress. I waited 33 days before NVC had my file. It sat at CSC forever. It took NVC requesting the file before they sent it. August 18th will be your 15th business day. If NVC doesn't have your case file by then, scan it (preferably .pdf format) and send it to NVCResearch@state.gov. Be sure to put your USCIS receipt number in the subject line. They will check throughout the NVC for the file. If it's not there, they'll send a request to USCIS. After you have your MNL number, go to any BPI branch and pay your visa fee. If you're still there at the time of her interview, you can go with your fiancee. USEM allows for this. Yet, when asked for the file by NVC, USCIS said they'd send it. It's been 30 days since our approval and at this point we're no further than we were when I filed the petition, or so it would seem. If there is an upside to this, John, it's that waiting will give NVC a chance to clear up the backlog of cases still needing to be scanned in (if the rumors are true). In the mean time, I'm letting the dogs loose on NVC. The email I just sent to NVCResearch: On July 12, 2011, I made an inquiry with a tier 2 representative at USCIS about the location of my case file. When the rep stated it had been forwarded to NVC, I informed him of an earlier call to USCIS in which I was informed that the case file was still at the California Service Center. Upon hearing this, he initiated an internal trace on the file. The attached letter from USCIS is the result of their internal search [saying they don't have it]. I'm also taking the liberty of including my I-797 again so there will be no mistaking what we're talking about. At this point, it is my feeling that my case file is in your facility but has not been scanned into your system. I've heard rumors of backlogs resulting from great numbers of petition approvals. Now at 15% for May and we haven't seen anything. Don't feel bad, John. I just got a letter from USCIS about my inquiry as to the whereabouts of my file. They say they sent it to the NVC. I also received an email from nvcresearch@state.gov about my inquiry about why they don't have it in their system yet. Hopefully tomorrow or at least soon. I'm doing all I can to keep GG positive but it's getting to me now too. A bit heartbreaking now. I try being positive with her telling her it should be soon then uscis just lets us both down. My guess is tomorrow but I keep saying that............ Keep your chin up, John. I'm praying for yours to com. Tom (southcalhog) just got his approval. GG could be going through some additional scrutiny being from an Arab country. Or, (more likely) the background check is taking a little longer due to slow moving lines of communications between the US and Jordan. On a happier side note, Amy went to the DFA to renew her passport today. She, being the smart woman she is, requested rush processing. She'll have her new passport around August 1. Yea!! Now, back to reality... still nothing from NVC. I sent a copy of our NOA2 to nvcresearch@state.gov. I called later and asked how long I should wait and was told by a somewhat rude operator that there was no specific time frame; that it takes longer than a few hours to research. Called USCIS again and got to a tier 2 rep again. This time, I was told that it had been sent to the NVC but asked to have a trace put on the case anyway. Called USCIS to see if they sent it. It's still sitting at the CSC. The tier 2 rep I spoke with said that NVC has to request the file be sent to them. Called back to NVC. It would be great if it is this week but I don't know if it would be that soon. I guess we'll see. However, she can't leave there until Sept anyways but the sooner we're approved the better. Anything to keep us from going insane hehehe. Well, even if she can't leave until then you two can still get your ducks in a row and start preparing for the interview. Also I knew we were 118 but not 117 I guess I needed to sleep for 4 hours between looking. 3 weeks is too long an estimate, considering your at CSC. I would say any day this week. Haha I was just there in April when I saw Geraldine. I got lost in O'Hare and it made me delay my flight to see her. They gave me the flight the next day for no extra cost though. If all goes well and to plan we will be getting married Dec 10th which our dating anniversary date. Originally, I'm from the far western suburbs of Chicago. I live about 3 hours west now, in the Quad Cities area; near the Mississippi River. O'Hare is the closest major international airport with overseas flights. This will be my first time flying out of Terminal 5, though. When I traveled to Manila in January, I had purchased the tickets for the overseas leg of the trip out of L.A. and had purchased separate connecting flights on a different airline.
