Ok I have a question for all of you September CSC filers. What is the current "last updated" date on your file? I see some people mentioning September 21st as being the last touched date (I am also this date) but wanted to know how many have the same/different date? Just trying to figure some stuff out. smile.gif

hi guys! I'm still waiting for our NOA2 but I'm trying to prepare everything in advance so that there aren't any more delays. I am quite confused about what happens next. There seems to be varying info out there. Are we supposed to send in the forms in Packet 3 before the interview can be scheduled or do we bring all that into the interview? And what is Packet 4??

I also saw somewhere where some people work from home. they stop in and pick up a box of files input it all at home then come back and scan them as complete and take another box. I never did conferm this but it sound possable.

This is unlikely due to the sheer amounts of personal information that they, by law, are obliged to keep confidential, and the background checks that revolve around it. It's more likely due to a delay in the relay or update system.

Do you guys know if I'm able to change fiance's address abroad online?
JD63MaleThailand2009-12-03 16:10:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsCauses of Variation
There was a thread in which someone on the board had an interview with the director of the VSC. I can't remember, but maybe that has some clues. Offhand I would guess it has to do with additional security checks that have to be performed, most likely by another agency.

Packet 3 on the website will tell you exactly what needs to be submitted then and what needs to be brought to the interview. Be careful about sending originals, only send those if they ask for it. You can just email the address change to them, but they don't really need it for anything except to send Packet 3.

I was worried to as she had moved right before Packet 3 too, but it doesn't matter, you don't need anything to be sent to the address. Packet 4 is just an appointment date/time.

Good Luck!

Now that you have that number wait until after the holidays, you can contact the consulate directly and see if they have received the peitition. If they have you can send in Packet 3 available off the website. I would recommend this as many people never actually receive Packet 3 in the mail.

download the forms and open/print them using adobe software, sometimes if you open/fill/print in a browser (I think some people had mentioned google chrome) they lose formatting.

Once you contact NVC and get a case number you can then send an email to the embassy and inquire if they have received it. As soon as they have you can submit Packet 3 with the forms downloaded from their website.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNOA2 Arrives!!!

Today, the USCIS sent me a text message saying my file was modified and when I looked in the email they sent...it was approved! What a relief. Now they will send the file to the NVC. Does that take 4-6 weeks? Who sends the file to the Embassy, USCIS or NVC? Do we need to do something to get an interview date or is that scheduled automatically? I have been so focused on the I-129F NOA1 and NOA2 that I did not study up on the next steps. I know each case is different, but is it reasonable to expect my fiancee to arrive before the end of the year?.

:D

Call the NVC in a week or two (the forums on NVC can give you a better idea of when to do this). Get your case #. Once you have that case # you can contact BKK via email to determine IF and WHEN they have received your application.

As soon as they have it, as Ning stated, you can send in Packet 3 you have downloaded from the website and they will schedule your interview (Packet 4). I would highly recommend doing this as many people never get a packet 3, and you can start working on it immediately. Just don't send it until they confirm they have your case.

Middle East and North AfricaPower Voltage question for US and MENA
Just a quick note of what NOT to do when you don't have a power converter for your hair dryer. My fiance was very sweet to try to get my hair dryer to work for me while I was in Algeria. He constructed an adapter from a mosquito repealent plug in. Well, it got power but it turned into a blow torch.

I do know Radio Shack has some very good power converters, but they are expensive.

Middle East and North AfricaQuranic quotations 2 help us thru the visajourney...
Everything that is going wrong in your life today shall be well with you this year. No matter how much your enemies try this year, "they will not" succeed. You have been destined to make it and you shall surely achieve all your goals this year. For the remaining months of this year (2007), all your agonies will be diverted and victory and prosperity will be incoming in abundance. Today God has confirmed the end of your sufferings, sorrows, and pains because HE that sits on the throne has remembered you. He has taken away the hardships and given you JOY. He will never let you down. I knocked at heaven's door this morning, God asked me... My child! What can I do for you? And I said, "Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message"... God smiled and answered... Request granted.

Middle East and North AfricaPersonal Attacks?
The method of creating conflict is provocation which bullies delight in because they know they can always coerce at least one person to respond in a manner which can then be distorted and used to further flame and inflame people. And so it goes on.

The bully then sits back and gains gratification from seeing others engage in destructive behaviour towards each other. This is known as trolling - see: Trolling The Web for more information about their tactics.

Most serial bullies are also serial attention-seekers. More than anything else they want attention. It doesn't matter what type of attention they get, positive or negative, as long as they can provoke someone into paying them attention.

It's like a 2-year-old child throwing a tantrum to get attention from a parent. The best way to treat bullies is to refuse to respond and to refuse to engage them - which they really hate.

In other words, do not reply to their postings, and on forums carry on posting without reference to their postings as if they didn't exist. In other words, treat nobodies as nobodies.

When you reply to someones post with a "quote" make sure you type before this "quote name=" and/or after this "/quote". ;)

Trust I'm really worried but i can't fall apart I have to try and hold it together.

I just think its a little wierd that he's not at his job either. you think he would quit his job as part of his dumping you? maybe there really IS something wrong, I dont think I would jump to the conclusion that I was being dumped, unless like Jenn said you already had some pretty strong suspicions.. Otherwise I would be worried as hell...

This was too funny and familiar:

He has made a few comments after seeing girls dressed in their very skimpy summer clothes " I guess its summer now".

In the beginning, when my husband saw the skimpy attire he would say, "I will be going back to my country" I asked, "Why?" He said, "I need to go get some clothes and bring them back for them."
