Just returned from Ankara a few hours ago and wanted to let you all know that my fiance had his interview on July 20th and was approved for the Visa! He actually received the Visa by UPS yesterday! We still can't believe it! I will write more about the interview this weekend after I recuperate from traveling! Thanks to all of you for your advice, support, and prayers throughout this process. I always thought it was 90 days from the day he comes into the US and now someone said to me it's 90 days from the visa issue date??? Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)	Just Turkish	Hi Everybody! Home sick with a stomache virus and wanted to finally post and say HI! Life is busy as you all know... Mehmet will be 18 months old on June 5th! How time flies! We had a rough Fall and Winter as he was sick for months. Had to get ear tubes due to 6 months of ear infections and was hospitalized for his 1st birthday. Poor guy went through hell... But thanks to God he is better now and in a new in-home daycare with only 4 other children and I think that makes a world of difference from a health stand point. He is starting to talk and it is just amazing! Resul is working at a local Midas car shop and learning to be a mechanic for almost a year now. He still hasn't been able to go back to Turkey since he's been here (almost 4 years)and his family still has not met Mehmet and that makes him sad. Finances are the issue, especially now with having a baby and paying for daycare. But thank God we still have our jobs, a roof over our heads, and food to eat in this economy! Take caare of yourself. ~Deb Hi Everyone, Just thought I would drop in to say hello and give you a brief update. Surgery was two weeks ago and went well... ended up taking out several organs, but appears they got all the cancer. Still doing chemo to be sure, and that will start on Thursday. Fun, Fun... My mood has been good and Fuat has been an absolute angel. If he didn't know how to cook,clean or do laundry before he came he does now It will be a few more weeks before I can return to work and just now able to start doing small things around the house. Nicole and Efe... congrats on the NOA2. Mindi.... hope things are working out. If all goes well, we should be coming to Michigan in July. Would still like to try to get together. They will grow so quickly before your eyes... It's making me sad to see how grown Mehmet is and I miss holding him like a baby and having him fall asleep in my arms because now he just wants to go! Wants to be down on the floor crawling, standing and getting into mischief! LOL! But it is exciting too to see the little person he will be evolve in front of your eyes too... It also gets easier over time as I am sure you are both overwhelmed! The first 3-4 months are the hardest on all! I can't believe Mehmet will be a year old in 5 weeks! Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)	Just Turkish	Hi Everyone! Thanks to Debra for checking in on me and my family! Sorry I've been completely busy working and a mommy of a 9 1/2 month old! Yes! Mehmet is 9 1/2 months old already! 22.5 lbs and 30 inches! He's going to be a big boy! He is a complete joy! I love him to pieces! Just wish I had more time to spend with him, but I'm playing the Mega Millions every week in hopes of retiring! LOL! Resul just had a job change and is now in the auto mechanics field (he took a year long course at night for auto mechanics last year). So that was a big change for him and he is happier in this job. He has now been here in the US for 3 years as of this past Fri. He still has not been back to Turkey and is sad about that, but we had an unexpected miracle take place (Mehmet!) and could not go back yet... Plus hus brother's wife just had a baby, the 2nd grandchild now in the family (a girl named Idol). So he's sad that his family still has not met their 1st grandchild. It's very hard for him. I hope all are well out there and things are going smoothly. Resul also received his 10 year green card a few months ago. We (or shall I say "I") did the lifting of conditions all by myself and we had no problems! Lord knows we could not afford our lawyer for this process and thanks to God all worked out. So if I can do it the rest of you out there can too! Keep that in mind when you get to that point. Well this momma has to get to bed and get ready for another long week! Living for the weekends! That's all you can do... Take care and keep in touch! PS- I posted a new pic of Mehmet on my profile so check him out! Are you sure it was me or am I really getting dementia?!!! Please fill me in if you can! As far as the colic goes Mehmet seems to be getting better and in fact is sleeping 3-4 hours before waking to eat. Of course he's still sleeping in the car seat, but whatever works right? LOL! Thanks for asking Debra! He was born on 12/5 and I'm trying to get this new mommy role together! It's not easy as I'm up at 4:30am feeding him right now! LOL! But he is so worth it! I was told in my 7th month that I was having a girl... Well on the delivery table they told us it was a boy! What a shock as I had a totally PINK baby shower! Now we have plenty of BLUE clothes thanks to great friends and family members! He's a perfect, healthy little boy, thanks to God... He is a little cholicy (gassy) and that is rough, but getting a little better. I will try to post some pics when I have 2 free hands! His name is Mehmet Can. Happy and blessed New Year to yo all!
