K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July & August VSC Filers witn NO NOA2 as of yet; Is anyone doing anything to expedite????	I called today and tried to put in a service request, but was told that they could not process it yet. The reason was that offically they are working on July 10 received date petitions and to call back in 36 to 40 days. In response to me saying I know people who have applied in August after me and even September have received their approvals, the person said everybody's is different and each processor is different. Have you printed off off the "signature authorization form"? Go to your senator or congressman's website and you will either need to fill out a form online or print it out and fax to them so they can inquire on your behalf. Then you can call them. I called on Friday and was told if I did not hear anything but Tuesday morning, to call back on Tuesday, so that is what I am doing. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Visa Approved	How did you find out he is now in AP? I thought he was picking it up the 28th??? I am sorry for the AP He went to the embassy as he was told to do at his interview and was told then on March 28. I called already and they said that they are reviewing the forms. They also said that there are a lot of cases at the embassy right now and it could be several weeks before he gets his visa. We knew this could happen, but when they told him he was approved and kept his passport and said come back for the visa , we thought all was good. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Visa Approved	Ahmed had his interview this morning in Tunisia and he was approved. He had an appointment at 10:00am, but there were so many interviews, that they moved it to 2:00pm. At 2:14(10:14 am for me), I received the best phone call of my life from him that he was approved. He will go back on March 28 to pick up his passport and visa!!! We are so excited and I know I have been smiling all day long. I want to thank everybody on here who helped on this journey. We also were able to confirm that the AOS/EAD/AP package made it to the Chicaogo lockbox via the return receipt confirmation with USPS. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any August filers?	Hi everybody! It's been awhile since I have posted. Ahmed and I are doing good and submitted the paperwork for AOS, EAD and AP today, so the wait begins again. This time though it will be much more enjoyable, as Ahmed won't be thousands of miles away. WE have had some issues with Ahmed getting a SSN # and finally made an info pass appointment for last Friday, as Social Security was saying that the Homeland Security never received the original application from June 8. Well it turns out that Ahmed is not in the system yet according to the immigration officer. It has been 2 months and 6 days since he came in to JFK, so really he should be in the system. The officer said, we can't open a case until 6 months have passed. She asked Ahmed if he handed in the package at his POE and he had. She then went on to ask if we were intending to submit for AOS, as then a case will be open for his not being in the system. He has the I-94 in his passport, so the officer knows he is here legally. It has been so frustrating (really more than that, but trying to stay calm) to hear that his paperwork might be lost. Good thing the doctor in Tunisia gave Ahmed copies of his documents from the medical exam, and we submitted that with his AOS, as advised by the immigration officer. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any August filers?	Ahmed went to pick up his passport and visa and the embassy told him we are now in Adminstrative Processing. I called and I was told they are probably reviewing the visa papers he submitted. They said there are a lot of cases and they didn't have time to review before his interview. Well he turned in the forms at 9:30, and his interview last Thursday was moved form 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, so I wonder what they were doing in that time. Ahmed did say that there was a lot of people at the embassy that day. This whole week we were thinking he was offically approved and they did not call or email either one of us to tell us other wise. He was told at the interview he was approved and left his passport last week. I was told it could be between 4-8 weeks for the review. They did give him a website he can check with his passport number, so we will do that everyday. Just frustrated and I really miss him so much and want him here.
