PhilippinesVJ MEMBERS (PHILIPPINE FORUM)
Hello! Thanks for posting this topic. Yesterday, I posted topic about July,08 K-1 filers for Philippine thread but sad to say it was moved. I don`t know much why this topic was moved .I am aware that there is K-1 July filers but its around the globe and its mixed races and with that I came out to post K1 July filers for Philippines - exclusive thread . I did that to look for the same time line and with that we can be able to share tips with them for future reference . It is more practical to meet up with my fellow June / July filers who resides here in Philippines that`s why I came to that topic but apparently when there is six or seven replies from my post it was moved......So, I was confused, maybe I don`t know much how to post topic.... Well, thanks to Completely and for Sheriff Uling and other staff who made this topic more legibly whom in one way or another I gained information about this matter....Thanks and more power! Good luck and God bless us all!

PhilippinesCheating
Hi, there! With regards to your posts, It`s not absolutely reliable. I have know many Filipino women married to USC citizens and other foreign nationalities but until now they are together in their old age. Cheating happens in all walks of life, races, religions, etc. Some research indicates that women and men cheat for different reasons. When one looks at the big picture, men and women can cheat for a range of reasons, and both men and women can be motivated to engage in an affair for either sexual or emotional reasons. Sometimes the motivation is even financial. However, in general, men's affairs are seen more often as motivated by physical sex, and are opportunistic: a temptation comes their way and this is foul. If a couple has genuine love, respect and trust it should not happen. No man or women will cheat if they are satisfied with their partners . Whereas there are some circumstances that they cheat because they have unresolved issues with themselves and from their families that hinders them for loving and trusting fully and so they experienced repressions in their subconscious mind .

Some research on why women cheat, on the other hand, paints a more complex picture. Women cheat for a wide variety of reasons.Like Emotional neglect, Self-esteem, Revenge, Excitement, Attention/desirability, Seduction/romance, Love deprivation, Resentment, Lack of Money and lastly if woman experienced disrespect from their husbands or vice -versa. Moreover , during the courtship get to know each other better to avoid regrets someday!!! ...and have FAITH in your relationships and value your vows!!! God bless!

PhilippinesPAL online booking
Hello, I guess PAL is okay. My fiance and I used the booking online during our visit in my hometown last May and we don`t have any problems. He, himself booked a month through PAL before his visit here in Philippines and he was in Michigan when he booked that flight! They have very accommodating staff. Whatever you decide trust your instinct and try to read some reviews online too so this will help you decide on your trip. God bless!

PhilippinesGetting a Marriage Index
Hi, from what I have understood MARRIAGE INDEX is" index of vital statistic of marriage" if you`re wanting to have certificate of marriage they will look for it in marriage index page . While a Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) may be required if a future spouse is applying for a fiancee visa in his fiancees behalf .It is a certification issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) stating that a person has not contracted marriage. It sometimes required to a Filipino National to have a CENOMAR who wish to get married in a foreign national outside the country or in the Philippine Embassy within the foreign country.I hope this helps. God bless!

hi
This will be one of the nice topic here..We will be going to have our Catholic Church Wedding this coming october 18. and we are going to use ring and unity candle.

I don't have much idea about here too.

Hello, guys! we are planning to use that too but as I have read about the unity candle. Many parishes/priests do NOT allow the use of a Unity Candle since it is not a part of the Sacrament of the Roman Catholic Church. The Unity Candle was created by Hallmark to add to a ceremony. It later became the "religious" symbol by people adding the "readings" and such that are used with it now. If your priest says "No" and you are really wanting to use one then maybe you could use it at the reception. We are thinking about this too! Anyways, here is some links that we read about the Unity Candle. I also included guide to Roman Catholic Wedding. Hope it helps in your wedding preparations.

Have a blessed Wedding! Congrats and Best wishes in advance!

PhilippinesCatholic wedding:Discussions of Liturgy used in US wedding
QUOTE (alienlovechild @ Sep 25 2008, 03:42 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Same with gabrielle08, we'll have a wedding on October 18. It will be a non-denominational ceremony. I am Catholic and my fiance is non-Catholic. It's not a big deal for me if those wedding stuff used in the Philippines will not be used in our wedding here in US. I think we will only have a wedding ring and a sort of blessing. What is important for me is that our wedding is legitimate as far as the legal US laws are concerned on matrimony and we'll have blessing. It is the faith that matters anyway...Besides, there is a saying, "If you're in Rome, you act like a Roman." US wedding ceremony may or really different from the Philippine wedding ceremony.
Just use those stuff when you will have a wedding in the Philippines in the future, should there be any.

I agree with you that we should adopt the culture of the state or country where we are. My future sister- in- law and my fiance talk about that wedding plans even I am still here but we haven`t talk about the Rite. Our wedding was planned here in the Philippines during our engagement when my fiance talked to my parents . Marriage would be in the US, its just that we want our marriage bless by God through His Minister because we do believed in the sanctity of Church wedding , so to speak church wedding is automatically recognized by the State or Gov`t, it would be one stopped and one ceremony only because if we got married in Civil we would be having second marriage in Catholic church too since Civil wedding is not recognized by the Catholic faith. Whereas any form of Marriage ceremony and rituals by different religions is good as long as its valid and recognized by the state or government, what matters is the love and faith in your vows. Maybe we`ll just follow the traditional Rite of Marriage in the US since there is no Filipino priest in their place and due respect to the guest also who`s not familiar with Rite of Marriage in the Philippines......Anyways, thanks for the replies it`s so enlightening....God bless you both ! Congrats and best wishes. We wish you a happy married life!!!

PhilippinesCatholic wedding:Discussions of Liturgy used in US wedding
Hello! I just want to brought up the Catholic weddings in USA. Filipinos known for traditional ceremony here in Philippines, wherein we uses different wedding symbols like Rings, Arrhae, Cord, Veil, Motif and others such as Holy Bible, flowers and other offertory gifts. Not to forget we have our Principal Sponsors/ Godparents and the secondary sponsors. I wonder how was the FIL- AM CATHOLIC WEDDINGS in USA since most of the brides from Philippines are mostly Catholics and here we uses Philippine Liturgy intended here and use wedding symbols I mentioned above. As far as I know, Americans and other western countries uses their own Rite of Marriage different from Rite of Marriage of the Philippines. I may say they uses their own rituals or ceremony; for example American - Catholic Weddings use Ring and Unity Candle only. All Catholic weddings are all sacred and I do believe in the solemnity of this ceremony. My fiance and I talk about this topic though we haven`t received our visa approval yet we discussed what Rite are we going to use in the future since Catholic weddings must be planned ahead of time . For those who got married already in USA, is this possible to have Catholic Wedding in USA and use the Rite of Marriage in Philippines? Is this allowed? What kind of Rite have you used during your marriage? Can you give us idea regarding this matter?....Thank you and God bless!... smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

It was at 1:52 pm yesterday when I got the call from the USEM informing me that our visas were ready for pick up at Window 34. Shocked by the sudden turn of events, my hubby called Grace and from her confirmed that indeed, the USEM did not only approve my and daughter's visas, it also granted our request to personally pick them up.

We have got our passports now with the visas and stickers from the CFO. We will leave on Sunday with Washington as our POE.

I wish that those who are still waiting for their visas will soon get theirs, too, in the soonest time possible.

Congratulation, sis! Have a safe trip soon.....! God bless!

I excitedly ran to the gate, 2:51PM our visas were on my hands. Ohh wow, 5 working days! I wish this kind of joke could always be true so none of us here would be waiting.

My continued prayers for all of us in this journey.

Thank you so much.

PhilippinesThe Art of Waiting.....
Hello! Fellow VJ`s.I just want to share this poem about the "art of waiting”. May all of us inspire by this message especially those who are waiting their NOA2 like us and for those who are waiting their visas. This poem is for all of us! God bless!

THE ART OF WAITING

Why wait?

Because although we want to be decisive, we do not want to be impulsive.

Although we want to be swift,we do not want to be hasty.

Although we want to hold on to the one we love,
We do not want to lose ourselves in the process.

If we want to run, we must first learn to walk.
If we want to swim, we must first learn to float.
If we want to make love,we must first learn to love.

In the end, it is still best to wait for the one we want,
rather than settle for the one that is available.

It is still best to wait for the one you love,
rather than settle for the one who is around.

It is still best to wait for the right person,
Because life is too short to be wasted on the wrong one.

Because waiting serves a purpose. Noble and mysterious.
You have to know that flowers do not bloom overnight.
Rome was not built in a day.
A life grows in the womb for nine months.
Great love grows steadily over a lifetime.
Most good things in life take a long time.
And they are all worth waiting for,
These, despite the fact, that although waiting requires a lot of things,

..........faith, courage, and hope....
..........waiting guarantees nothing, one cannot imagine,
..........after all, GOD in all His wisdom, asks as to wait,
..........for no essential reason.

Hi,pinkmink...I guess as others suggested here it`s better to pay DV, rather than it cause you more delays. Who knows they might asks you that DV, and you haven`t show any receipt.Better pay it now before it`s too late. As others said, 650 its just a few amount compare to the delays it will cause you if there is still DV.... Good luck! anyway on your interview. Godspeed!

Hello, my fellow VJ! We are on the 3rd month waiting for our NOA2, hopefully and by God`s grace we can have our NOA2 next month. I wonder if I still have to pay the Documents Verification, I have read some posts here saying that there is no more DV, how reliable is that.? Is there any one of you who have done their medical and interview and have n`t asks for DV. I am planning to pay DV if it still needed since we are running on the 4rth month of our NOA2 , and I have heard that late paying of DV can cause visa delays, etc. Please kindly inform us if we still have to pay for DV. Thanks in advance . Godspeed!
