Hi
You should go to United State section of www.dhl.com and then try it. I selected my own country at first and couldn't get result.

I've tried it for my embassy but don't quite understand; under reference, do you type in the location of embassy followed by either Expedite NIV/NIV SECtion, there isn't enough room for correspondence.

I am sorry to be so slow witted, but I can't figure this out. Can someone put a screen capture or a pdf attachment so I can see how you successfully penetrated DHL for tracking? :help:

Track by Reference

Sorry, I just don't get it. I am old. Have mercy on old people :P

I'll have mercy....Im getting old too :P

Go to dhl.com There will be one box with a dropdown list. Select United States. When it brings up the next page, across the top you will see 'Ship' 'Track' 'Services' etc. Put your mouse over 'Track', there will be a drop menu.....select 'track by reference'.
In the reference box you can put any of those listed by Peter. They are each a reference in their own right. Try them all. Once you type in one of those refereneces all you need to do is select a date range. It will list all those sent out to the various consulates. All you are able to do is get a guestimate as to which one may be yours. There is no way of telling for certain but if you know which day it supposedly left by calling NVC then at least it gives you some idea as to which one maybe yours.

Hope that helps.

Hi Aussiewench,

Thanks for the assistance!

Jack,

This is the thread that I told you where I wrote the instructions on how to track your package from NVC to the U.S. Embassy in Colombia. This works for most countries but not all of them.

Good luck,

Peter Miami

Peter,

Unless I missed something it will not tell you your petition from NVC was sent to the Embassy or that the Embassy received it.
All it tells you is on a certain day something from New Hampshire went to the city where the Embassy is and was received in that city.
Isn't that all the info you can get?
At BEST, at BEST it's an guess and nothing more.
If I'm wrong then tell me how I specifically find out the my petition actually left the NVC and actually was received by Moscow.
Thanks!

Larry

Hi Larry,

Send me your telephone number and I will call you and explain it because I do not know how else to explain it. It is not a guess, I used it and many more VJ members before and after me have also used it.

By using this method along with a couple other short-cuts that I did. I took at least two months off from my fiancée arriving to the U.S. I used this on a K-1 fiancée visa. Read my threads on the “Foreign Embassy and Consulate General Discussion” section.

stop payment on the check. That would force them to send the package back to you.

I agree, stop payment. Then today mail out a second one to the correct address. Why bother waiting for it to come back, or hopefully forward??? I don't trust them enough.

I agree send a new package asap.

Hi Craig,

There are two things you can do about the vaccinations; first have her retake the shoots or second she can have a blood test done and it can tell what vaccines she has had and the doctor writes a letter stating that.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionLetter of Intention to Marry (for K1): Is it Necessary?
At the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia and a couple of other Embassy people have been rejected/denied for not having the letter of intent with the newer date. I do not know for the Philippines but I would not take that chance.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionInterview-approval/not approved
I am speaking in general and it varies from country to country. If the CO does not think it is a real relationship, no second letter of intent (Colombia), missing documents, I-134 does not meet requirements, they want more information (interview postponed to a later date), and many more. There are arrays of reason for them to turn you down but you could appeal their decision. Maybe other can give you more information.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPacket 3

firstly, nice name

I am going through the London Embassy so I can give you an indication of whats required.

1. Packet 3 contains the following forms:

DS-230 Part 1 (you complete part 2 at the interview)
DS-156 - this needs to be filled in duplicate but DO NOT SIGN IT
DS-156K
DS-157 (only for male applicants)

Your fiance in england needs to collect the following documents: They arent all applicable, obviously if you havent been adopted you dont need an adoption certificate etc...

Passport (valid for at least 6 months) (REQUIRED)
Long style Birth Certificate (REQUIRED)
Adoption certificate (if applicable)
Deed poll
marriage certificate
divirce certificate
police certificate (go to police station in england and ask for a 'Subject Access' form. Costs £10 I think. Takes 40 days to arrive. (REQUIRED)
Court record
military record
3 Color photographs (these must be US Size) (REQUIRED)
Evidence of support (this is quite in depth so search around for more info on that (REQUIRED)
Medical Examination (this needs to be done before your interview, he could actually go ahead and get it done now. The surgery that performs it is Knightsbridge Doctors in London.) (REQUIRED)

You can look in the Gallery section on the VJ menu and find the example forms that come with the packet 3. I will try and find a direct link to them...here it is http://www.visajourn...ls.php?album=13

If you want a speedy interview date then I highly recommend getting ALL of this sorted before packet 3 arrives so it can be sent back ASAP.

Hope that helps somewhat

~James

The problem is Johanna has the interview on Friday, March 3 and she can not pick it up until Monday. This means she will be in Bogotá from Tuesday, February 28 to Monday, March 6. Seven days she will be there alone with no family or friends and I can not go because of work. Hopefully there still is a courier service and that it could delivery passport and visa quickly. I do not want to use that option but the other one is that Johanna will be in Bogotá a week alone.

Thanks,

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPicking–Up Passport and Visa
Hi All,

I have a question for any VJ members going through the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia. Johanna my fiancée has her interview on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 7:00am. If she gets approved, she can come back on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 4:00pm to pick-up her passport and visa. Is there a courier service that would deliver the passport and visa? How long does it take and what is the cost?

Johanna lives in Armenia and as of right now I will not be able to attend the interview. She is not comfortable being alone or without family/friends for close to a week in Bogotá and I am planning on buying the airline ticket for Thursday, March 9, 2006.

Any assistance will be appreciated.
