K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresEvidences for K-1
I am in agreement somewhat with ziggy! For those of you who are lazy or just want to send minimum information like 2 pictures or 2 e-mails or 2 airline tickets, etc go for it then do not be crying when you get an RFE, denial, or any other problems with your petition.

I do not understand after going through all this crazy process, that the agencies involve do what ever they want and being away from your significant other why would you take that chance?

My K-1 fiancée visa petition was close to 100 pages, very well organized. Over 30 pictures, complete photo copy of passport (mine is like the yellow pages because I travel international for work), 12 airline tickets, receipts, boarding pass stubs (went 12 times to Colombia in 3 years, 15 e-mails from me to my fiancée, 15 e-mail from my fiancée to me, all types of credit card statements and receipts, home and cellular bill, and a million more things.

Could you people be so lazy as to provide all you can as soon as possible without having to be told to do so? I bunch of people get RFE’s for bad copies how hard and how much can it cost you to get a very good copy of birth certificate or divorce certificate?

I do not understand this maybe it is because I am a C.P.A.? I am ####### and detail, in my line of work you never leave any detail no matter how small it is and there can never be too much information, documentation or paperwork.

Hi 3AD,

I did the same thing and more; a complete copies of my passport (which has triple the pages of most people because I travel internationally for work), over 30 pictures and a lot of everything. I got approved no problem!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAm I screwed?

I don't think it matters where you are staying abroad, as long as you are a United States Citizen, with a United States residence, you should be able to apply for the K1, you will have to return the states however , once it is approved to be married, and AOS. As for your grandparents being your co-sponsor, I don't think it matters that they live in a different state than you either. Someone correct me if I am wrong???? I am sure other more experienced VJ's may have better answers than mine.

I believe this is correct.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhat to be done after NOA2?

1) What comes in the next package (from your Embassy after your petition has been through the NVC) varies from Embassy to Embassy, so that question cannot be answered if you don't let us know which Embassy you will be going through.

2) An I-134 should be filled out by the USC fiance (they are the main sponsor) and also by any cosponsors and they each need to provide the information as requested on the I-134. There is some debate about if the USC has a cosponsor do they fill out an I-134 still, but I say go ahead and do it because it isn't hard and you'd hate to get an interview and find out you needed it.

3) When you receive your package from the Embassy it will not only contain the forms but it will also tell you what you need to send back and what needs to come with you to the interview. If you have an Embassy that a lot of other VJers are going through they might be able to provide this information from their experience or you can always call/email your Embassy for this information or check on their website.

And last but not least :time:

Good advice and please fill-in your timeline.

Good luck,

My fiance paid by a money order, so I dont know if there's any way of checking whether thats been cashed?!

I apologise that Im being slightly clueless over this.

I believe there is no way to get the receipt number from the Money Order. So your best bet relies in calling or e-mailing NSC.

Good luck,

Peter Miami

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWorried about application

Im sorry, Im not meaning to confuse anyone.

We havent received ANYTHING yet back from the Nebraska Service center and its been over a month since we sent in the I29F application.

Im sorry to be confusing, the whole thing is just getting to me a bit.

:(

Annieob,

Then forget about the date for approval (NOA2) for right now. You problem is that you do not have your receipt number and it has been over a month, correct? Did you pay by check? Did they cash it? Then read what I posted up top. If not then call or e-mail them or do both.

For your information what you need next from NSC is the NOA1. I believe it is called the “Notice of Action”. But if I am wrong someone will correct me.

Good luck,

Peter Miami

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWorried about application

Im sorry if this has been talked about a million times but Im new.

My fiance sent in the I29F application over a month ago now, and we still have not received a receipt number. How long did this generally take for other people. Im really beginning to worry about this. I know the whole process takes time, but Im beginning to worry that something is wrong and that they havent even started to process us yet.

:help:

My timeline is telling me it should be around April!! But everyone else seems to hear in around 2 weeks. Im a natural worrier though.

Do you think its worth my fiance calling them, are they going to give him any information or just tell him to wait for a receipt number?!

Your timeline is talking about NOA2, approval. In your first question you said you did not have your receipt number that means that you did not received your NOA1? So which exactly is you question I am confused?

Hi annieob,

If you sent the petition over a month ago I believe you should e-mail and/or call NCS. Have they cashed your check, if you sent a check? You could get the receipt number from the back of the check. Please fill-in your timeline in order to help you and it also helps other VJ members.

Good luck,

Hi VJ Members going through CSC/TSC,

I have been asked this questions many times so I am posting here so all can have it. To get to the CSC/TSC list so that you know how other VJ members are doing as far as NOA1, RFE’s and NOA2, plus who is waiting and who have finished with this part of the process:

You must go the “USCIS Service Centers” section, and then go to the pinned “The CSC/TSC List!”

If you want to see the older lists or archived go to; http://www.visajourn...showtopic=67421.

Good luck,

Hi Jacquie,

I am glad you are fine. I will reply to the Private Message (PM) you sent me. But I need you to do me a favor so that I can help you, other VJ members need this information to help you also and it helps everyone including yourself for time frame references.

In top of the page on this website you will see “Immigration Timelines”, please go there and then find “Edit/Add my Entry” it is on the left side close to the top. Once you go there you input your e-mail address and you fill out information about yourself and your fiancé.

I will PM you in response to your e-mail and I will need some information about your situation. Good luck with your visa journey.
