Philippines	POE...Guam	You should have no problems at the POE in Guam. They see plenty of women with a K1 or K3. Just make sure that when you are asked a question answer it to the best of knowledge, and truthfully. If you do this, you will have no problems. In all the years that I worked in LAX as an inspector in the customs area, we always appreciated those that told the truth. Philippines	Cheapest flights from US to Cebu?	Anything other than bt-store.com out there? Anyone know any discount agents? I wish i could fly to Cebu for the same price as some of the Manila fairs... Best I had so far was my 1st trip. $1300 round trip... I wish i could fly for around $900!!! I do not exactly know the prices right now for trips to Cebu, but I use a travel agent you can call. She then gave the letter by me requesting for Visa pickup at the Embassy. The CO said he couldn't guarantee it but she was given the pink slip anyways. The CO also stamped "DONE" on all the paperwork. She told me that the other ladies she went with also had the word "DONE" stamped on their paperwork as well--She meet up with four other ladies. Hope this is just the same as approved. I think so because she still walked away with the pink slip! She asked the guard about the pink slip. And, the guard replied that she was very lucky to schedule a pickup. There were very few who got to arrange a pickup. Horray! My last bit of advice to all those with upcoming interviews is to stay positive, remain calm, be confident, and you will do well. Philippines	Flowers and flying to philippines	Hello, I'll be leaving out of SFO tomorrow to see my honey in Manila. I've bought her flowers from Manila Florist islandrose.net and they seem to be delivered in a timely fashion. But the roses don't seem to last very long. I'm considering taking flowers with me from US to surprise her. Anyone know any tips? I would want to carry on to keep them properly, but I don't know: 1) if US will not allow me to carry flowers out of the country 2) if Philippines has agricultural restrictions Thank you, Chris P.S. The US does not worry about you taking flowers with you to another country. 2. The Philippine government would require a phytosanitary certificate which you can get from the USDA, for $100. Philippines	Cebu to Manila for medical & interview	I have found the prices for PAL is higher buying it here in the states. The easiest way is to send her the money. But you can purchase Cebu Pacific online, but you have to use Mastercard. She will have to pay 200 pesos tax each way for domestic terminal fee. Philippines	Manila Embassy Interview/Visa Status	Hello all! Just dropping by to say that my life is never been better since I got here in US with my sweetheart. Yun nga lang medyo busy with the upcoming wedding this coming Saturday. Don't worry, I'll post my wedding pictures right away. It's good to be here although the adjustments to make were pretty hard. I had trouble getting rid of the jetlag in my system but after a week, I was doing so much better. David and I are getting along well. He's been introducing me to everybody and then on Friday, most of his relatives are coming down for our wedding so there's going to be a quite reunion. So far, I've been getting good comments among his friends and relatives that I have met when we celebrated 4th of July in Arkansas. They're all nice and they made me feel welcome. I got homesick last Friday and cried a river in the church. We go to mass everyday. Kakatuwa nga kase their mass here is the same with ours (only it's in English) so I'm not really at a loss. I haven't really explored a lot since we're always busy for the wedding. I am also staying with a Filipino couple during the night until we got married. It's hard but they're nice naman and they treat like their own daughter. On my wedding day, since I don't have a relative here, they will stand as my parents and be the one who will walk with me on the aisle and give me away. It's so sad because I really wish I could have my own family and friends here. Hopefully, everything will turn out great on that special day. It's just a small ceremony but solemn, warm and sincere. What matters most is David and I get married. After the wedding, I won't be able to relax (for real) since I will be working on some paperwork... AOS, ugh! Hopefully it won't be too bad. Once we have filed it, only then that we can really enjoy each other. Anyway, this will be all for now. Just popping in and out --Mae Congrats to you on your wedding!!!! Philippines	Passport question	I have always lived on the side of being prepared. Yes it does say if 6 months or longer. But the fact that she does not have her old passport, may raise the question. I would get one anyway, just to be on the side of caution. I know it is not easy for her to get one, but it is better to be prepared, than to have a delay. This is just my opinion! As the saying goes better safe than sorry so I told her go ahead and get it but it now appears that the Manila Embassy is processing things faster so she probably won't get the police certificate in time, what a bummer. It takes 2-3 months to get the P.C. and I'm pretty sure her interview date will be before that comes. Do you know, would I need to call and change her interview date and is there a long delay with that? Thanks for your help! I would not call and delay it. Let them be the ones to decide on that day if they need it or not, since it would take too long to get the PC. Who knows, this may not even be asked in the interview. Philippines	ANNULMENT IN THE PHILIPPINES	We started our annulment process in August 2005. We had the final hearing in July 2006. We finally got the copy at the end of Jan. 2007. But misspelled name had to be corrected. Hence we could not file till March of 2007 for the K1. I did not want to believe the lawyer, that it would take that long, but it did, and then some. Well since submitting the application late in February and receiving NOA1 a few weeks thereafter, I wasn't expecting to see any activity until closer to August / September given the processing times ... but low and behold during my morning USCIS website check, we got a touch TODAY!! There was no additional narrative or description so I have no idea what it involved ... maybe the file fell out of the box and they needed to put it back in. I'm just worried the dreaded RFE is going to rear it's ugly head - as happened to some friends of ours who went through the process last year (now happily in the U.S. awaiting AOS). Oh the suspense ... I don't know whether to be excited that something has happened or to be depressed that it might be an RFE. Just nice to see activity, I guess. Wish us luck. Wish you luck!
