K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 RECEIVED !! GO VSC!!!!	Just woke up this morning to my baby telling me the most wonderful news ever.!! We are APPROVED !!! YeaaaahHHHHH!! It's almost like am dreaming lol.. the feeling is awesome! I'm gonna update my timeline now at last, if only my head could stop spinning ) God is definitely awesome. The key to this journey is patience and prayers guys., trust in God and as long as your feelings for each other is real, it will definitely be your turn one day. We are now looking forward to the rest of this journey, gathering documents for the interview, medicals and whatever else. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Visa Approved in LAGOS!!!	We got approved today at the Lagos Consulate of the American embassy Nigeria after a tough drill by an unsmiling Consular officer! The feeling is just indescribable! We were told that we need a new medical report though, and as soon as we submit those, then we are good to go. Apparently, the medicals we already had done in Cyprus a few months ago is no longer valid. Thank God and thank you VJ community. The Lagos consulate isn't so bad., the key is to make sure you know every and even the most insignificant detail about your fiancee/fiance if you are going through Lagos. If you have a genuine relationship with an American citizen, these guys will see it in ur responses and body language and you'll be fine. I can assure u today based on my experience, if you are involved in a fraudulent relationship for the sake of immigration purposes with a US citizen, Lagos is certainly no consulate for u to pass through. I will post a detailed review of my interview in the Nigerian portal shortly but first i gotta relax and celebrate this victory with my amazing fiancee. Middle East and North Africa	im pregnant after my first month in the us	hey guys yes i did the test twice it came up positive, now the main concern is about the vaccins i took or the embassy made me took before i came up here,the doctor told me i dont have to get pregnant till three months have passed, and im only on my second month yet since the vaccin,im really worried, so im planing an abortion , im only pregnant for less then 4 weeks, any advice??i really dont want to have a baby with some medical complications,otherwise i would have kept the baby First of all, congratulation on your pregnancy., it is a beautiful thing. Now, i would hardly think that this forum is an avenue for seeking medical advice especially when it has got nothing to do with your immigration process but with your health and your baby's. My advice, seek the counsel of a qualified gynecologist. They should be able to tell you with certainty if you or your baby are at any risks from the vaccines you took. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Case transferring from Cyprus to Lagos	Does anyone know how long it takes to get an interview in Lagos in a case which has been transferred from another embassy to Lagos? secondly, seeing that we have already had an interview and paid visa fees at the embassy in Cyprus including medicals, do we still need to do all that in Lagos and submit all the initial documents and proofs that we have already done in Cyprus? Is there a way that the embassy in Cyprus could write to the embassy in Lagos informing them that we have done all these requirements before. And most importantly, is there any way to make this process any faster? we are going to write to the both embassies in the morning about these questions and get more clarifications but first we would appreciate your thoughts and responses. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Fiance backed out from interview	As much as i sympathize with u on your present situation, i would however advice that u apply caution before taking a final decision on what u wanna do. For one thing, u have not heard directly from your fiancee whom i assume u are madly in love with. You might wanna ask yourself why she hasn't been able to contact u herself explaining why she didn't show up for the interview instead of taking her cousin's words for it. For all we know, a thousand and one thing could have made her not to appear for the interview. She might be in trouble, she might have been prevented from going for the interview against her will., i mean this is someone who was planing to spend a lifetime with u. The fact that her cousin called to tell u she cheated should not make u jump the gun immediately. My advice, try every other means to get in touch with her, let her tell u herself why she decided to not go for the interview or to marry u either. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Form G-325 Applicant's Resident Last Five Years	Hello All, I am filling out the G-325 and am unsure of how to list my Residence for the last 5 years. The reason why? I have lived outside the US since Oct 2005 travelling around South America. During this time I have used my parents address in Florida as my US mailing address. However, I have also lived in Colombia for over 1-1/2 years at a fixed address. For Applicant's Residence for Last Five Years: Do I list only my US addresses showing Florida from Oct 2005 to present? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	DS-230 Part 1	Hello All, I am currently filling out the "DS-230 Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration" for my Colombian wife as part of the CR1 process. In question 13 it asks for her present address. We are still living together at the address listed on each of our G-325's. However when they process this application (3 to 4 months from now) we will not be living together at this address as I will be in the US and she will be temporarily living with her mother. Don't I want to put her mother's address as this is where they will send the interview packet? If, not how will they know where to send the interview packet? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Domicile Requirement	Hi folks, I am currently living in Colombia with my wife and going through the CR-1 visa process. We are expecting packet 3 anyday from the U.S. Embassy in Bogota. While living in Colombia I have maintained a mailing address in Florida with my parents. For instance my bank statements and tax documents go to this addresss. Is this enough to qualify as meeting the domicile requirement in filing form I-864 Affadavit of Support? I also have a job offer from a company in Miami to show sufficient income. Thank you. i was in same boat as you,i never used lawyer filed as LPR and when i got my citizenship i sent copy of my certificate by fax /mail/and called in to upgrade -which ever worked i dont know,But i got upgrade request granted email and mail .and from there since i had all my wifes documents with me i was fighting to keep up with their speed. Fact no need for lawyer if you need your process smoth and fast , Yes, I am a Citizen, I just did my case timeline in my signature. Do you have the address where you mailed it to? Kathlene's case was tranfered on 5/22 and when I checked, her interview was scheduled for June 6! So get all your paperwork ready and hope for the best! I do not know what we would have done if someone hadn't told me to check for an interview date! I got the packet today which would have only given us about 8 days to do EVERYTHING with Monday being a holiday! Wow! that was really a quick turnaround! This process never ceases to amaze me. Wow, that was quick only two days from 5/23 to 5/25. Next step, interview date, I guess I need to really start gathering all the documents required, I'm going to make sure my baby is prepared well in advance. Keep up the Great work NVC! Yesterday I saw that I had a touch, but there was no e mail, so I assumed it was a touch. This morning when I went to work, I checked my e mail, and there it was!!! An e mail stating that we were approved on May 23rd. I am so happy!!!! I hope all of the rest of the VJ filers,can get their approvals soon.
