I received a letter in the mail yesterday stating my petition had been transferred to CSC.

Looking forward to the NOA2 hardcopy. I'm not really much for trusting my online case status.

thanks - it's going to be a really tough one for us. they want to see records of my husband's marriage and divorce from the state of alaska going back many years. we have already tried to apply to their records dept for copies of these records but they came back with no trace for both events. So where does that leave us? it's not looking good and we don't don't know where to turn to for help. we have tried all kinds of searches with no results. we will try again but who knows... feeling very low right now. hope you get through your rfe issues. good luck

hey guys , to all of you waiting for nvc case #... i just call , i told the woman who pick up, that my case was approved on feb 11th and the case was shipped on feb 16th and sh told me that i have to wait 15 days so they can have my case in the system, so everybady relax and let s give the 15 days. mine is gonna be there for march 3 i guess

My husband is filing jointly as well. He would do married filing separately since it's easier, but he'd owe the government money while he gets quite a lot of money back if he does jointly.

Aww.... I just realized that 1 of my 3 cases is still in Initial Review. I'm a bit concerned because the case not yet approved is my step-daughters (who has a severe disability). I'm hoping that they just haven't gotten around to flippin' the switch for her case yet.... hopefully will see it happen yet tonight! :wacko:

Same happened to me as well, i used to be on USCIS case status website all the time checking my case and when approval came i was able to look it up on the web-site before they sent me the e-mail and text like 2 min. later.

Now just get off from VJ and call your wife man!!!! i do not think she would mind waking up early with this news (well its already 8 AM in India).

Sweet. It's so nice to be able to give good news to my better half :)

I'm continuing to pray that our friends getting the stupid RFEs and those still waiting get APPROVED tonight.

Clearly, anything is possible :)

My dearest VJ family, who've been through, and are still on, one of the most disturbing roller coaster rides of our lives, I haven't received ANY text message or ANY email regarding the status of my case.

At 8:54PM, after having finished my cases at work from 6 this morning, I followed my usual routine- get on VJ, read up on how my friends are doing, and for the hell of it log on to the USCIS website.

My I130 and I129F cases statuses were both updated as of today.

I immediately clicked on the I130 and my eyes fell on a blue dot overlying "Post Decision Activity". Not having mailed in any wedding photos, tickets, receipts, Skype screen shots, affidavits, joint account information, etc., I feared I was in for the mother of all RFEs.

The notice reads as follows:

Post Decision Activity

On February 22, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.


The notice for my I129F reads as follows:

Post Decision Activity

Mace, the following is the basic format I used in emailing Mr. Badger:


  • Place your WAC # in the subject of the email.
  • Begin you email with a standard salutation.
  • In one sentence explain why you are writing. Include in this portion your full name and your spouse's full name.
  • In about a paragraph describe your situation- stick to facts, try not to editorialize it.
  • Now in 2 or 3 sentences mention that you are concerned because ___________________________.
  • End email with "Sincerely"

I got my NOA2 hardcopy in the mail today. The text was different than what my case status on the USCIS website said. The hardcopy NOA2 also stated that the case was shipped to NVC.

Yes.... I see your point. I was unaware of the emails you had received. At this point, I don't know what you could do... I don't have any contact information for CSC personnel. Hopefully it will be rectified by the 1st of March.... if not...... I would send an email to I-130Inquiries.Tsc@dhs.gov I'm sorry I can't do anything for you bro..... All I can do at this point is to pray for you (everyone).
